Given its trappings and its story, I wouldn’t go so far as to call Red Bow pleasant, but it’s certainly in that ballpark. It’s an odd little game that’s better than it has any right to be, and it’s probably worth investigating if you’re in the mood for something short and different.

There are better games with a similar approach and scope, but if you have already played them and you enjoy them, Red Bow can be a good choice.

Overall, the title is ridiculously restricted, and while there are different endings encouraging multiple playthroughs, you’ll have seen all that it has to offer in hours. The sprites are chunky and the environments pleasant, and there’s some earworm audio to add to the overall presentation, but you’re unlikely to find yourself dreaming of this once you’ve seen the credits roll a couple of times.

Stranga bring us Red Bow which proves underwhelming. Trophy whores are well served despite that, moreso with the double platinum.

Red Bow has a lot of potential to be great, but it’s simply not. There are a lot of strange technical issues and downright poor creative decisions that make up for a dismal experience. While the story is effectively the only thing holding this title together, it’s not nearly enough to warrant a recommendation.
