    PROs:
    Great animations
Convincing build up play Enjoyable offline play against AI. PES series are doing alot of things right. Their procedural animation system is getting more fluid and varied by each year. Team management is getting innovative and practical by each year. The AI is very intelligent to play against, it uses very nice build up play and tricks to get through.

    CONs:
    Bad defence design overall.
Team mate pressure is arificially nerfed
Not enough "counter measures" against sloppy plays, spammers and network latency.

The game, simply can not prevent brute force gameplay tactics and does not even let you counter act the dirty deeds of the opposing losing team even if you anticipate everyone of them.

The defense problems of this game are very obvious and it would take the devoper team only a couple of PvP matches to observe for pin point the flaws.

The real problem in Pro Evo series is NOT the developer's inability to adress and fix but their prefererence not to.

According to the PES developers, each match should be exciting for both of the players and to create that feeling , game dynamically changes success rates of both teams to create tension. It goes to such extremes that it even disables your whole defensive meeasure just to create some last minute tension.

For me , it is very frustrating seeing, my all perception, experienced defence rendered effectless as the game shamelessly try and boost the other team just because of their score disadvantage.

PES series is not and will never be mature enough for the world of competitive gameplay as long as it tries to be fun for everyone.

I was a huge fan on PES on PS1 and PS2 and I have to say that I was almost unbeatable on it (:)), but then as all PES fans I was very disappointed by the game on PS3. The freedom of play is back which was my favorite aspect. I'm just reeducating myself to the game but I'm getting really frustrated by two big aspects of the game though. The first one is that the keepers are definitely a joke! Konami didn't work at all on that aspect. Basically it's 1 shot on target = goal, almost 9/10! So as soon as you make a mistake in defense, it's a goal conceded! Then the second aspect is the computer players in your team (which you can't control) lack intelligence. When you are the player having the ball and want to give it to another player, the player almost stays still unless if it's a striker. For example if my center mid has the ball, my other center mid or my wingers barely propose solutions, I'm force to look for my strikers.
Apart from these two aspects, I think the game itself has improved a lot. One other downside I've also noticed is in the Master league where it's not realistic. For example, teams like West Ham signing Lewandoski or Southampton signing Rooney. It's way too easy to sign players. Once again I think that they have improved a lot compared to when they were on PS3 but there is still lots of room for improvement.

So, we've got a new Pes here. I'll write down my experiece with it the first few days, playing on the Master League mode. Yes. On hardest mode of course. So here we start.
    - First of all, the good things. Gameplay has improved a lot, and there's a very nice feeling about how the game flows, and how easily you can build up an attack, and how nice you can control all of your players. Yes.

Gameplay has improved a lot, and there's a very nice feeling about how the game flows, and how easily you can build up an attack, and how nice you can control all of your players. Yes. Also, very nice graphics, and improved responses from the AI to your attacks (except the fact that you can still run along the side line and nobody catches you. Ever.)
    - Maybe I forgot some good facts I had in mind, but the review isn't writen about them. It's about the very bad feeling I've had while playing my Master League team (with the master league players, not the team's default players). So, first of all. Awful Goalkeepers. And when I say awful, I don't mean that they can't catch some shots they should, or something like that. I mean the whole package. They lose the ball while trying to catch it, they rush out like retards, they never catch the ball on one-on-one situations, and their reflexes are like I am the goalkeeper, not them.
After this, AI of the COM team. Yes... Just one thing. If the AI decides that it has to make a goal, you can do nothing to stop it. And I mean nothing. And before you all go like "you don't know how to defend, you can also pressure them, blah blah" believe me, I'm not new at PES, and I've got some experience on this game. The AI seems to decide when it makes a goal or not, and even if you try your hardest not to, then something "accidentaly" happens, so your player stops running, or the cursor changes the player you control, and etc. Yes, I've actually tried many times to do this, and all of them I've failed to defend when these decisions are made by the COM.
Finally, you can score your goals either on the start of the game, or at the start of the second half. the AI seems to let you score goals more often at these early minutes than any other time in the match. Beh.

My conclusion. That's not fun. And before you say anything about it, I'm not a FIFA fan, on the opposite. But this season't PES is far from what I call fun.

very catchy gameplay in the beginning but when you play for a while, you begin to feel annoyed. No fouls for obvious calls from referees means players crash and roll about like a rugby field. I mean this is a good game to play for a day or two but when you are playing on the longer run, it just doesn't feel like authentic football. That said, gameplay is better in PES while overall football experience is better in FIFA

For me was the referee, this is the worst part, you can not do a nothing because is yellow card, if you see the scene again it is not, but always yellow card. Also why if someone takes the ball the other player does not react, it takes some delay because players are slow to know he is not with the ball.... so stupid gameplay

-the gameplay is good. Not great, but good.Nice collision system, nice animations, nice ball physics i believe it's better in the gameplay department at least than FIFA 16 in the sense that it does not feel clunky.Still room for huge improvement though.

-The ML mode is better than last year.It is not so good as FIFA's equivalent but at least it is improved in every area.Yes the transfers and the scouting system are waaaay below par and not realistic imo, but it's a step forward.
-Dynamic weather adds a nice touch to the fell of the gameday and the new camera is pretty good.
-Most of the high flying players play and feel a lot like their real life counterparts i believe that KONAMI did a better job than EA in this area.
-Edit mode is really good.If you find the right patch and the time to apply in the game you get a new dimension on the unlisensed teams.
    And now the bad...
-The licenses are a problem once again.I understand that the budget might be limited or that may be a deal between EA and the Premier League or the Bundesliga but when you name a team LONDON FC at least have the blue as the base colour,so the players that don't want to patch it up know that this team is Chelsea. Also, there are countless champioships around the world.Put some more in!!It's a same that some teams are fully licensed and some others are not, in the same competition. That goes for the international sides too.I can't get why it's so hard to have them right, proper kits and all. It's 2015 and it's nt cult anymore. It's rubbish.
-The stadiums are too few. When your main "rival" has so many stadiums you need,as a company that is, to at least try to match it.IAgain it's 2015.Twenty stadiums are too few. It's not the PS2 days when they were enough. It's a shame when FIFA has so many,PES has so few.
-The sound is way below par.Bad and repepetive commentary and the game does not do a single thing to make the player feel like he is on the pitch on the game day.Again FIFA has the edge this year on this department.
-It's easy.I am playing on the Superstar difficulty whith Rotheram and so far the cult figure of Mat Derbyshire has scored 45 goals on 30 league matches. Not to mention the other players like Bowery.(24 goals so far). Also the AI has one or two ways to attack.Once you sniff them out there is now way that you ll conceed more than one goal.
-It seems that every through ball, lofted or not, will find it's target regardless of who is passing the ball (You should see Frecklington, pure poetry..) and the AI defenders stumble or backtraking or watching stoically as the attacker nestles the ball in the back of the net.
-GKs are horrendous.I dont believe that i can add to that statement.
-BAL is underdeveloped, outdated and it seems that it found it's way in the game fro no reason.KONAMI should really look on the 2K guys and try to make something like that, instead of a bad game mode that is pretty much unchanged since it's first installment.

And that will be all.To sum it up with few words,i would say:good gameplay, good edit mode, mediocre ML and bad presentation, almost no realism, bad sound, underdeveloped BAL and lastly the rosters from the previous season without the latest transfers..This is lazyness. It seems as an unfinished product especially when your rival gets a 10/10 on this department. And a patch on 29/10 it's not going to cut it.It's pure lazyness.Excuse my english,my grammar,my spelling and i hope that you'll find this reiew helpful.I don't play on the web so i don't have a clue what mClub is or how it's played out,so the score is without the internet gaming factor.Good day to everyone.

FIFA 15 was a massive let down for me, someone who loved the previous FIFA games. It felt as thoug they were not making enough progress and I wasn't having fun playing it anymore. I decided to give Pro Evo 2016 a chance after reading all the positive reviews and I was really excited to play it when I received it last week. Since then I've found that the game, while almost brilliant, is massively flawed by one or two very important failures by Konami.

I've now played around 15-20 matches across offline and online modes so I feel as though my initial impressions are based on enough time in the game.

Shooting is ridiculous. Every game is a 7+ goal thriller and this is by far the worst aspect of the game. There is no realism to it, it's out of hand and this is the number one reason why I'm not inclined to continue playing the game. Shots fly in from all angles, rarely missing the target even with low-rated players.

Tackling, in particular slide tackles, are almost always perfectly executed, even by players who have low rated tackling. I don't find this to be a gamebreaker but it isn't particularly realistic and it's not much fun either.

I could go on about the positive things because there are a number of them, as seen by the generally high scoring reviews, but I can't give this game a higher score until the shooting is fixed. It's a real shame because the game is almost there, so I hope Konami listen to feedback and address this as necessary.

You wont score scorchers in this games, pretty much every goal you see with be a finess shot around the terrible goal keepers. And theres no value in a goal and the default matches are so long that you can expect to at least 6 per match.

FIFA has gone overboard with ball control in recent years, but PES makes you feel like your trying to play in a pair of clogs. Try and hold up the ball and you'll be dispossessed with ease, with players having no strength. And every single tackle results in the same tired animation and your player unneccassarily out of action for too long.

If your bored of FIFA lack of improvements in the past 3-4 years then i'm sure PES will feel new and exciting, but its not the new king, its just a football game thats flawed differently.

Lack of a roster update is the biggest slap in the face by this game. Clesrly rushed into shops to try and best it's rival to be out first have cost it dearly. No one who gets a new football game every season wants to olsy with last years teams, not even the early transfers like Gerrard have been address.

Fifa fans will tell you thats better, PES fans will tell you this is better. Football fans will tell you they want something new, and neither franchise can offer a better game than something that came out 5 years ago.

Reviews tell you its a win for PES but its yet another loss for football.

Not as good as described by media. Overall is a good improvement but it lacks some veracity either in fictitious teams and players, either in gameplay. The way to score goals is identical as much as you play. Like Fifa 2016, is just a good game but a revolution is mandatory in both of them.

If i'l compare the gameplay only, as a PES player (until 2012), i think PES 10 years ago was a groundbreaking game. Konami games over the years have gone backwards - and this year they went forward again. so there is an improve in the game, but i still feel that i can't go back from Fifa to PES,
Fifa have better gameplay, he isn't perfect, but for my opinion it's very clear.

Graphics are poor, commentary is OK, not great. The loading times between screens are pitiful. This isn't a game you can pick up and play in 30 seconds.

PES 2016 is a fantastic game that has clearly sent a message to it’s rival and all around the world that the series has made a comeback. Everything about the game has been tweaked and perfected when you compared this year’s game to it’s predecessor (PES 2015)

Sure, it is a game riddled with issues and raises more gripes and tantrums than a game should. But once you whittle down all the issues, bugbears and negatives, PES 2016 manages to be a wholly comprehensive footballing experience and the best available this year.

PES 2016 is a football simulation for gamers, not for football enthusiasts, because in terms of realism it falls way behind EA Sports FIFA. Pro Evo simply chose another path and doesn’t even try to convince you that what you see is an attempt to recreate the real thing. It goes back to the roots – to wonderful PES 6 – and that’s why I had so much fun with PES 2016 and fell in love with it. [11/2015, p.34]
