    the sound quality is absolutely terrible. they could have just given us a definitive version of persona 3 but no they decided to port only portable because atlus wants the fans dead

    Boring story, worst social links in the series, combat makes me wanna shoot myself (get the joke?????). They didn't even give the option for FES, the best way to play this pretty terrible game. Worst modern persona game, play shin megami tensei 4.

    As it’s procedurally generated, some may chafe against the formidable grind, but each floor is bite-size, and you can command your team to do most of the exploring for you. Interspersed with dialogue-driven hangouts in the daytime, this is an incredible quick fix of weak point-targeting battling with RPG character building. It’s just a shame this couldn’t be more definitive. [Issue#24, p.82]

    Persona 3 Portable's remaster is a huge opportunity for those who wanted to deal with this game, however its age -and everything that comes with it- will be a problem for those who can't stand the game design of a bygone era.

    My take is that neither Portable nor FES should have gotten a re-release. Instead, Atlus should have, using FES as a base, made one final, definitive, ultimate version of Persona 3 combining FES's presentation with Portable's balance changes and Kotone's route. It would have been more work, but everyone would be happy. But they didn't do that, and that's a massive disappointment. Persona 3 Portable is forced to carry forward onto modern platforms a compromised design made for a console that's nearly two decades old instead of blossoming into the masterpiece it has the potential to be.
