Pac-Man Museum+

As a Pac-Man fan, I love Pac-Man Museum+ as it features a fantastic variety of fun-filled games while also including clever challenges and a virtual arcade that you can decorate however you wish. Now, all we need is a Pac-Man World compilation.

Pac-fans will enjoy this nifty if incomplete stroll down memory lane, Pac-warts and all. Unlocking new games to play can be a bit annoying, though. [Issue#16, p.128]

It doesn’t contain every Pac-Man game ever made, but Pac-Man Museum+ is the most complete collection yet, for better or for worse. We love its arcade presentation – jarring sound effects and all – and even outside of the games, there’s fun to be had trying to collect everything and decorating your arcade as you see fit. There are some duff games here of course, but you’ll likely find a gem that you never even knew existed – for us it was block puzzle Pac-Attack. Either way, this is a very nice little trip through Pac-Man’s history, and one we’ll keep jumping back into time and again.

Pac-Man is back with a new collection that is truly unmissable for all historical fans, but also for casual gamers.

Pac-Man, which has experienced more than 40 years of vicissitudes, is still popular in the game circle, as a perfect display of the charm of this series. However, this game is just a collection of fourteen previous game works of this series, without any new element. But for nostalgic persons and game players interested in Pac-Man, Pac-Man Museum+ not only represents a collection of the whole series, but also offers the best opportunity to rediscover the charm of the Pac-Man series.

In 2022, a collection like Pac-Man Museum+ doesn't seem to measure up to a great legacy. Although, of course, returning again and again to most of the games that we find here is an absolute pleasure. It's time, once again, to end the day with a persistent waka waka waka hammering away at our dreams.

This is a handful of games and a legal settlement away from being comprehensive, but it undoubtedly gives you a flavour for Pac-Man’s storied career – and between the ups-and-downs, there’s plenty to chew on.

Lots of games, but not all stars among Pac-Man's birthday guests. The essential emulation gives a no-frills experience to the old glories in a context tailor-made for chasing the online leaderboards, but the absolute lack of extras is a great disappointment.

A good collection for long-term Pac-Man's fans, but the beloved character deserves a bit more than this.

Compared to the "basic" PAC-MAN Museum, in Plus there is little more than a few playable new entries and a vaguely more sumptuous dress. Nothing to justify a possible repurchase, and it is worth asking whether even users less accustomed to the worlds of Pac-Man, in the absence of that "museum" value that the title promises, can find satisfaction in the face of a handful of episodes that, probably , they will not be able to entertain for more than a few hit and run sessions.

Pac-Man Museum+ is an experience that will keep fans of the yellow hero entertained. Its addition of quests and the option to let you decorate the space with character memorabilia is a great bonus. However, many of its games can be considered very simple and even boring if judged by modern standards.
