    Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 was my most anticipated game of the year and i hope it gets a sequel. I recommend it to all but i also have to report a couple of issues. The adventure mode is pure frustration, even for pro players of the genre, you might want to skip that part of the game (it's a huge part of the game sadly ). The PS4 version sometimes stutters and needs to be patched,Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 was my most anticipated game of the year and i hope it gets a sequel. I recommend it to all but i also have to report a couple of issues. The adventure mode is pure frustration, even for pro players of the genre, you might want to skip that part of the game (it's a huge part of the game sadly ). The PS4 version sometimes stutters and needs to be patched, the stutters don't occur frequently and i am 100% sure it is not platform/hardware related but in a game like this every millisecond matters in order to achieve the highest score (not to mention the D-pad precision this title requires, during stuttering the controler doesn't respond ). Overall, the game is a gem but until it is patched i give Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 a 6/10.… Expand

    Pac-Man Championship did a fantastic job of updating the classic formula whilst retaining the core of what makes it Pac-Man and I spent many hours trying to beat my own personal, and a few friends, best scores.

    With my Xbox360 no longer in working order I jumped at the chance to pick up this sequel on the PS4 but must admit I came away disappointed.     With my Xbox360 no longer in working order I jumped at the chance to pick up this sequel on the PS4 but must admit I came away disappointed. Perhaps realising that they'd pretty much perfected the formula already Namco seem to have taking the kitchen sink approach to this sequel but, rather than adding to the formula, they've simply over-complicated matters. Little "cut-scenes" that play out for certain events and pointless "boss battles" etc all interrupt the flow of the gameplay without adding anything of worth and the way the ghost now move at random (rather than remaining in a train) once you collect enough pellets to eat them adds an unneeded element of luck. The fact that a fairly long tutorial is needed to explain all these elements speaks volumes really.

    Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is still a fun game at heart, but overall it actually feels like a backwards step from its predecessor.    … Expand

    Buen Juego... Durante las Primeras Dos Horas.

    JUGABILIDAD: Hablar de la jugabilidad sería como explicarle a un arquitecto el cómo se dibuja una línea: todos lo conocemos. Pac-man usa una formula clásica de su franquicia, pero aumentado la velocidad exponencialmente y creando así un verdadero reto. Todos los niveles son muy buenos y están cargados de adrenalina. El mayor problema    Buen Juego... Durante las Primeras Dos Horas.

    JUGABILIDAD:

    El mayor problema aquí es su repetitividad. Pese a los varios modos de juego, Championship Edition 2 no deja de ser un arcade con pocos niveles que se repiten una y otra, y otra vez. El modo historia es más de los mismo y no hay una razón de peso para querer terminarlo ya que las llamadas batallas contra jefes son, una vez más, repeticiones de áreas anteriores.
    ¿Es entretenido? Pues sí, pero no por demasiado tiempo.

    GRÁFICOS:
    El apartado que menos me importa en un juego así. Cumple estéticamente con lo que cabria de esperar. Podemos darle un aspecto ligeramente diferente a los laberintos y los enemigos, aunque tampoco nada espectacular. No es que haga falta, en realidad.

    SONIDO:
    Gratamente me he encontrado con que unas piezas muy correctas, todas de un corte electro y con un ritmo muy marcado que ambientan perfectamente la jugabilidad rápida del juego. Incluso la canción del menú me parece adictiva.

    INNOVACIÓN:
    Cambios mínimos que no aportan lo suficiente para hablar de una innovación respecto a sus entregas mas recientes.    … Expand

    Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 did not take the direction everyone would have preferred. But great respect goes to the development team for trying to do something different than the usual formula.

    I can definitely applaud CE2 for not just resting on its laurels and just releasing more CEDX but with more maps and skins or something, but what they actually did with the gameplay managed to take a lot of the thrill out of it. Despite the fact that it seems to run a lot faster, there were too many times while playing this game that I just got bored in the middle of a run. “This still going, huh?” I thought to myself. For all its bells and whistles, bumping music, and sleek framerate, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 just doesn’t keep the thrill alive.
