    do not buy this game. it is pointless garbage with no redeeming qualities. it is generic and bland in every possible way with exception of its even worse short comings. on ps4 pro it runs like garbage while managing to look worse than 10 year old games

    Beat the story and put time in the end game. You don’t feel strong or powerful. Clearly the team didn’t know what they were doing. Then they nerf your powers in a update. Your not even strong to begin with. Let alone nerf you in a update. When this game full of bugs. Their first update should not been nerf your character. End game content is a joke.

    Finally a game that's doing it right!!!
    It gives you a proper free demo, so try and see for yourself if you love the game.
    The demo is huge, has several missions that are representative of the game. So there should be no people who buy this game and are disappointed. Once you decided to buy the game - your progress and character are transferred from the demo. And this is applicable to    Finally a game that's doing it right!!!

    That's the proper way to release an expensive new game!!! Thank you to the developers!! I'm not into multiplayer, but the game is doing the right thing by also enabling cross-platform multiplayer. That's the proper respect to its audience!

    If you are interested in the game, and you should be as it is a great game - try out the demo.
    Stop reading the reviews.

    Obviously, no game is perfect and this being a huge game it has it's share of small issues. I had to turn off and unplug my PS4 to reset cache, once. There are also a few seconds when screens are loading. But that's all expected.

    The game itself - it's a Halo-like shooter. Enough said.

    I cannot even hardly log into the game much less play the darn thing. When you do get in, it crashes and freezes constantly. Multiplayer is even worse. Glitches and bugs happen day one but server connectivity issues, especially from a company like Square Enix not to mention the fact that it is an online game, should not! What little I could play, the story ‘seems’ interesting. The dialogue and voice acting are believable compared to most other games. The fact that there is no PvP means that it is story driven but we’ll never know till they correct the server issues. But it did peak my interest. The graphics are pretty cool but that’s where it ends for me. The controls are unfortunately clunky. Targeting is WAY OFF. We were missing at point blank range with a shotgun while the AI could target and shoot us right thru the walls and obstacles designed to provide cover. Our powers and melee kept triggering almost automatically constantly and controls kept freezing up although I don’t know if that may have been partly due to the ongoing server issues. When trying to use abilities such as the Tricksters slice or Time Freeze for example, it was noticeably delayed compared to the demo which was much smoother and responsive which is odd considering most demo’s are rough compared to the final release. The gameplay itself is cookie cutter run and gun chaotic, which is getting really old with these shooters. You would think that developers would begin employing more stealth and strategy in these games other than run and shoot them before they shoot you. I had high hopes for this title but once again find myself disappointed.    … Expand

    This game had a month-long Beta where tons of problems came to light - from the basic (janky movements of the character, cam-shaking to make you want to swith off your tv) to the real meaty ones (loot lost, char resets, coop not working, lag a nightmare with teleporting the norm, no concept for shared loot and so on).     Normally the reddit community for example would have ripped that apart. But (wonder how) tons of positive review, what a great game, what a great developer this is, and they really talk to us, we are so lucky - including a shill article on Forbes that concluded basically "even if this game does not work is great" - probably this was too much even for the journalist.

    And btw if someone raised some legitimate questions (for example, today day 3 after release, still a ban on press reviews, or the servers not working after 3 days) - barrage of "its the same for all the other games" or "its fauit of Azure" and downvotes. Peppered with gems like "I like it even more because its so buggy and does not work I love it".

    That the game was suddendly in the xbox game pass its a red flag as big as the ever given ship btw.

    Fast forward to release date:

    Money has been paid (and at a AAA+ price), the cat is in the bag and people are left with a non-working game (servers) and when it works the mountain of all bugs never addressed in the beta. And slowly but surely the honeymoon will fade over, the (paid) press releases will try to squeeze some more cash out of the usual gullible, uninformed or cash whales - and then ?

    Of course this is what it is, a first attempt at looter shooter, with good ideas probably (we cannot play the game as the servers does not work), which in the 30 $ range may have been interesting.

    But this thing cost as much as Destiny. And is not a destiny-killer. Is not even an anthem-killer. It is what it is, a buggy game pushed from the publisher using reddit, forbes etc in an attempt to at least mititgate the financial debacle.

    What do we learn from this ? Unless you trust the producer (one name: From Software) dont preorder, dont buy on release, wait always 2-3 weeks. The feedback and review system has been rigged for good, every turd is depicted as being a gold apple, only weapon for us consumer - wait and see. If its a gem you will spend 300 hours on, you can afford to wait 2 weeks.    … Expand

    I paid 60 Euros, and this game is a total mess. Generic, uninspired, and boring. Plus this game is currently very buggy and unplayable. Worst spend money...

    The servers were **** down for 5 **** hours. And when i finally could get to play this game. It just felt like i wasted my time. I had a great hope of hype for this game... what a shame tbh

    I will start with the good stuff so far. The gameplay is super fun, fast and addictive. The storyline seem interesting and somewhat funny at some point. The map-design is super colorfull and area are pretty different from one to another witch make the game less boring and keep you wanting to see wich kind of area you're about to fight in next. I've seen the difference between ps4,xbox series and pc and clearly the graphics were downgraded to sell more nextgen console not to make it run better or none of that allright......for SELLING PURPUSE!!!!!!! I`m mean there is a lot of older online multiplayer game graphics that are way better than this for exemple Borderlands, Destiny, Dying light, etc...You can't play crossplay yet, there is no in game gamechat, you get disconnect every hours or so at best for now. Loading windows of 2min everytime I jump a gap, walk between walls, open a door....for real!??? The movement like sprinting moving for cover to cover are very weird and doesn't feel natural or fluid. Loading between area OMG 3-4min every single time. I spended the same amount of time playing than I`ve been on a loading screen or just simply trying to re-enter the game. This game could be great but it is really far from being a masterpiece especially on ps4 and xbox one. Please fix this game I`ve paid 88$ dollars canadian for this game on ps4 I want to see it work. One last things vertical sensibility adjustment is really important too and not everyone is playing on PC with a mouse could you update it please!?     For the record, I wanted to like this game. I really did. So much so that I forced myself to play nearly twenty hours of this steaming pile of garbage. If I could get my money back I would. Conversely, if I could pay to erase this game from existence I would also do that. The difficulty spikes would be bad enough to ruin the game for me on their own, even if they weren't paired with floatyFor the record, I wanted to like this game. I really did. Enemies pretty much all just rush, and you're constantly funneled into areas where you have one piece of cover you better cling to for dear life or you'll be annihilated. The areas seem like they could offer dynamic and engaging combat, but the fact that this game isn't truly open world means you can't ever really engage enemies on your terms or with a strategy you've decided. If you are brave enough to stay mobile and aggressive (as the game SUGGESTS) you get punished with waves of enemies popping in behind and all around you. I can't give an honest critique of the story because it was so forgettable I didn't know what I was doing half the time I was playing. The russian guy was cool I guess. Bottom line: 3/10. If you want a good tps, go play the Division.… Expand

    Not bad game but extreme server issues. Cant signed in (only restarting game is working again and again) Long loading Times on PS4 in cutscenes. Coop unplayable, server issues again. FIX IT and i change rating

    this game is great and very addicting, have only play though part of the story as the servers has been having problems with being overloaded. Love the sci-fi feel of the game and love that it is cross-play so that you can play with your friends, but apart from the server issues the is NOT the devs fault i have found no real bugs in this game would defo recommend to anyone who likes thisthis game is great and very addicting, have only play though part of the story as the servers has been having problems with being overloaded.     Gioco veramente particolare,le prime ore sembra non dirti nulla,ma appena decolla diventa veramente divertente,ti da dipendenza.
    Grafica discreta,gameplay frenetico e storia bella ma un po’ anonima..ha tutte le carte in regola per diventare un punto di riferimento Diablolike/lootshooter.

Unfortunately the game had serious issues with server at release, otherwise the rating would be average 8.5 to 9.2 but everyone is angry. including me but thr game is magnificent. I don't like shooters, only games like Dark Souls or JRPG but this game is in a completely different level... One of the best games i ever played and i'm 51 years old. This is One of the best games of the last 10 years for me, i hope everyone gets to play it because it's so much fun that i played 20 hours 2nd April alone.     Fun when it works but I rarely can get past the signing in stage and one of the side quests crashes the system repeatedly (tried 3 times before giving up). If they sort out the issues, it should be fun.

    Edit: Now that they have seemingly stabilized the servers some, I'm having a lot more fun. Adjusted score from 3 to 9. I'm enjoying the story and gameplay. Graphics are good.

The endgame is where this game does it better than anyone for day 1 launch. Expeditions add a unique aspect to leveling that will keep the game enjoyable and playing for hours.     Неиграбельно. Я могу смириться с тем что на PS4 эта игра выдает 30 фпс, я могу стерпеть эти вечные логины из за проблем с серверами, но секундная задержка в управлении - это уже перебор. Сегодня скачал демку и в целом все было нормально, поиграл, решил купить фулл версию, и именно в фулл версии постоянная задержка в управлении где-то в 1 секунду, это не новелла какая-нибудь, это шутер, приНеиграбельно. Я могу смириться с тем что на PS4 эта игра выдает 30 фпс, я могу стерпеть эти вечные логины из за проблем с серверами, но секундная задержка в управлении - это уже перебор. Сегодня скачал демку и в целом все было нормально, поиграл, решил купить фулл версию, и именно в фулл версии постоянная задержка в управлении где-то в 1 секунду, это не новелла какая-нибудь, это шутер, при чем относительно динамичный, поэтому когда ты нажимаешь прицеливание или хочешь отойти вправо или лево, то твой персонаж это делает с секундной задержкой, и в подобных играх даже пол секунды это уже критично, а тут эта задержка около 1 секунды. Люди которые видимо никогда не играли в шутеры, для них это просто деревянное управление, как они сами пишут, но на самом деле управление тут приемлемое, тут именно постоянная задержка и именно в фулл версии игры. Получается купил игру за 4к и сижу жду патча, которой пофиксит эту проблему, т.к. играть просто невозможно.
    P.S. Монитор с задержкой в 5мс, hdmi в полном порядке, на самом мониторе задержка поставлена низкая, и ни в одной другой игры таких проблем нет, это именно дело в Outriders.    … Expand

    I actually like the game, but this game was not ready to be released. Even after the server issues have been supposedly fixed, the longest I have been able to play without a blue screen or a fatal disconnect is about an hour. With three people it is so much worse. Not only do you spend the majority of your time in loading screens but you end up completely bugging out quests. If theI actually like the game, but this game was not ready to be released.     To start out I would like to say that I have spent about 10 hours in the game. I typically don’t review games but I was a little sad to see the game getting review bombed for server issues.

    Outriders looked a bit rough to me but the RPG elements, class choices, and the co-op cover shooter style intrigued me. I didn’t really like the way it felt at first but as I played more it and unlocked new abilities the game has started to grow on me more. A lot of people keep trying to compare it to other games and I found myself doing the same in my head a bit. You can’t go into this game with those assumptions. It may draw inspiration from a variety of games but it is unique. The story is good. The voice acting is a bit cheesy. Overall you might just need to give it a chance. I didn’t really like the game for the first couple hours but I’d say I’m pretty invested now.

    Pros:
    +Gameplay and battles are fun
    +Unique character classes and solid build customization
    +The story itself is good

    Cons:
    —Voice lines are pretty cheesy
    —There are a few bugs but haven’t seen anything game-breaking yet
    — Matchmaking overall is pretty bad/broken (Ex. You can’t matchmake for a specific purpose such as a boss encounter)    … Expand

    Dont listen to half the bad reviews havnt encountered a single bug and the game is ridicoulsy fun its like gears of war borderlands 3 and destiny had a baby 10/10 would reccomend and the boss fights are sick.

    Very buggy game. Story is average and the gameplay is average. Unless you have very specific builds the second you even try "end game" content on the easiest setting you get demolished and have zero chance.

No, it convinced enough of us to play it and secure its future...as what, we're not quite sure. In all fairness, there are some interesting bits of lore and events buried underneath theOutriders doesn't care if you like it or not. You shoot/blast the same variations of enemies through a half-developed story campaign, then repeat dull mini-strikes ad infinitum for the "endgame." No, it convinced enough of us to play it and secure its future...as what, we're not quite sure. In all fairness, there are some interesting bits of lore and events buried underneath the unintentionally hilarious dialog and live-service tropes (without the "service.") Some of the environments beg to be explored, but we are confined to small arenas and hallways. We shoot. We loot. We rinse and repeat. None of the weapons or gear are interesting enough to entice anyone beyond the hardcore theorycraft and min-max crowd, and the spongy enemies are little more than fuel for your anomaly powers and health bar.

    The visual design is an odd mix of PS3/360-era filler with modern bells and whistles tacked on to present a fairly dull and ugly vision of a mysterious alien world. The limitations of the PS4 Pro are obvious, and a 1080p option is sorely needed to avoid the huge slowdowns and stop-motion animation of everything outside of the smallest battles.

    Audio channels cut in and out, most sound effects seem to be ripped from an old B-Movie, and the overall mix is awful. Bring your own tunes, and blast them to drown out the noise. Nothing that any of the characters have to say is important, so don't worry about missing out.

    Customization is irrelevant. Crafting is only useful when modding high-end gear. No offline mode. Connection demands seem to be higher than most--lag is definitely a thing. Etc. Etc.     Buggy and broken. Every time the developer releases a patch to "fix" one of many game-breaking bugs, they introduce 5 more game-breaking bugs. People Can Fly clearly have no idea what they are doing. Thought Cyberpunk 2077 was bad? This is worse. You are better of spending your time and money on ANYTHING else.

    I stuck to this games campaign solo and it took me about 14 hours to get through.. The game starts with you creating your own charcter, and the story here.. well it might as well not even exist.. I couldn’t tell you anything, I couldn’t even tell you how the game ends if I wanted to, basically a storm happens, youre frozen, youre unfrozen 20 years late futurama style, and you come out and wanna shoot stuff.
    The gameplay here is super fun and addictive.. most of the time.. thing gears of war meets mass effect meets the division.. obviously outriders feels nowhere near as polished and detailed as those games.. but for a first attempt in a series, this is a really good one… Something unique here that has promise but major issues is the tier system.. instead of choosing a difficulty, the game gets harder as you progress, everyone starts at story difficuolty, then you unlock easy, normal, hard, expert, and so on… however once you get to a tier you find too challenging aka too annoying youre free to drop back to any previously unlocked tier that youd like… and this is what I did on m way to tier 6, I dropped back to normal.. and why you might ask? I loved the challenge tier 5 was giving me.. however outriders is desined as a games of service game and for that reason, the checkpoints throughout the campaign are awful.. ontop of that there are insane random difficulty spikes… youll go from having an nice challenge to waves of enemies that have you wanting to bang your head against the wall, oyull get so close to the end, or completete the first wave and lose to some scrub and have to start all the way back at the beginning of wave 1 instead of the wave your died on.. enough to again make you want to drop down to normal difficulty.. however… even in normal these random spikes occur, theres even one enemy called the shaman warlord that is so unbalanced and overpowered that I had to drop down to story difficulty…
    Im sure I could have eventually beat them on normal, but story took 3 minutes, normal would’ve taken like an hour. It just wasn’t worth the effort,,, balancing in general I outriders biggest problem.. from random enemies feeling overpowered to random difficulty spikes and awful checkpoint system… so the gameplay can go from great to frustrating, the story is trash, why is outriders so good?
    Well that comes in the form of its looter hook… at the beginning of the game you choose one of 3 classes, and its so addictive to find weapons through this game and try to tailor them to your specific playstyle.. overcome these sometimes annoying challenges with a feeling god like power… as as you level up, youll choose 3 abilities to have at yoru disposal during combat… there is post game content though.. and plenty… the story mode is essentially you getting your character ready for the online bits.. even though of course you can play through the story with friends… but after the game is where leveling up your tier really starts to matter, this is where youll be challenging yourself to unlock new areas and collect all of these fallen pods…I however personally found the actual world of outriders to be pretty lack luster and uninteresting.. so naturally I have no interest in going off and grinding.. though I do believe the mechanics are fun enough here for plenty who would based on that alone…
    Outriders again has potential as a series.. would I play outriders 2? Yes…
    s again I loved the gameplay hook and Id love a sequal that balances everything out better.
    Am I clamoring for outriders 2? No.
    Again the story and world are lacking, and im not quite sure how the team over at people can fly can fix it.

    Great concet, **** game play with a load of crashes, you'll see the loading screen and blue screens more than the actual gameplay. Not to mention some people including my friend got his character reset through a major bug in the game. They apparently fixed it but **** this game its not even worth a penny.

The only looter-shooter worse than this is Square Enix's other disaster, Avengers. Borderlands 2 is nine years old, but leaps and bounds better than this steaming pile. If you're going to play a looter-shooter, go play literally any one that doesn't have Square Enix's name involved.

Equal to Mass Effect games even though Mass Effect is an RPG but still a looter shooter. Now 4/5 because better than some, worse than others. End game is bland and boring, however most games do not begins with an endgame. The endgame comes months later with an update. So you gain and lose a point. 4/10. Already have cheaters and, I've played with some and they did not have the mark u promised. 3/10. Some guns sound good, some do not. Angry Joe said one sounds like .asking popcorn, it really does. Can't get that out of my head now. Lose a point for all my wasted time trying to load this game up again after getting kicked back to lobby.     Further impressive are the many different biomes and their graphical realizaion.

    The loot game and the modding and the build variety is really great in theory. Practically ... support builds heve no significance... which leaves only one or two builds for most classes. I have only played one class.
    Getting the loot game nailed is something most looter shooters seem to struggle with.
    Outriders nails it.

    The bad:
    The interaction with the world is really bad. No jumping, no crouching, no climbing. No seamless transistion from zone to zone through loading corridors etc... but... each little zone beeing accessed by... LOADING SCREENS ... tons of them. Too many!

    What turns me down the most are the fights...
    Generic cover shooter, enemies glued to cover, shooting at you with pinpoint accuracy, funneling you through choke points, while snipers barely visible in the back punish your every move while you are beeing pushed by rushers and bosses with their aoe attacks.
    The encounters are difficult because you are beeing overwhelmed... not because the encounters are challenging. Bad design.

    It is aweful! It‘s bad.

    And it is a pitty because using the skills is fun to use.

    This game needed more mobility in fights. Jumping, hell even double jumping, to risk an assault and then push back if overwhelmed.
    The mobility as it stands is bad. You constantly get stuck and cornered when you try to escape a previously not perceived rusher.

    The design for each encounter is almost the same.
    Of course it is a small studio, and they could not have nailed combat like Destiny did but in 3rd person shooter. Still. Combat needs more dynamic, mobility, less cover obstructing the field.
    The monsters on the other hand were fun to fight.
    Good creature design, good variety.

    And then the technical issues. Always online. Means you need to get an instance on a server. Servers are overwhelmed at times locking you out of the game.
    Crashes, so many crashes. Bugs. Oh man, why?

    The end game. Well... I only played a couple of expeditions... but they are too hard. I had my character well rounded for WT 13 when I went in and struggled vs Expedition rank 4. If the team falls the expedition can be repeated from the start. No checkpoints to restart at the encounter where you failed. So if the team fails. No rewards for the invested time.
    No matchmaking for the expeditions. Sure you can start alone and hope that someone will by chance jump in. Matchmaking would be good.

    The nerfs... why? The game is hard enough as it is.
    Going through the campaign on the highest tier level all the time has never left me with the feeling of beeing overpowered, actually barely making it against overwhelming amounts of enemies and super bullet spongy bosses. The expeditions even less gave me the impression of being a bad ass ALTERED superhuman. The ridiculous difficulty actually made me stop playing after I had every campaign quest and side quest done.
    And for the how difficult the level was, I was getting loot 6 levels under my gear. No incentive to keep playing.

    TLDR
    Graphics good and creative designs
    Gameplay loop/fighting needs mobility
    Story and world building great
    Loot game and gear progression superb
    Technical issues, servers full, crashes frequently

    This game does more right (now) than I gave it credit for. Gone are the cheap deaths, gone are most of the bugs and gone is the frustration I felt the first time.

    How to enjoy this game:

    1. If you want to just enjoy the story, and cruise through the campaign - keep it on World Tier 1 (maybe 2). That's it. Anything World Tier 3 and higher is actually pretty hard.

    2. I would get to level 20 at least, and have some good gear before I bumped up the world tier.

    3. Just play how you want. The healing mechanic for technomancer is forgiving that you can play however you want. For Devastator and Trickster, you can focus on close range builds. Pyromancer - I have no idea yet.

    4. Sniper rifles and single shot guns have no place in this game. Use a light machine gun, auto rifle, or double gun. If you're playing up close, an auto shotgun. No other weapons are useful.

    5. The story is just meh - but there are some funny moments. Don't take it any more seriously than a plot point to get you to the next area.

    6. Transmog your gear - no point walking around looking like a smoldering skeleton glued onto some hot garbage. Just look how you want.

    7. In the campaign, don't travel too much. Let completed quests pile up before going back to Trench Town to turn in bounties. The load times are still so slow, that it will add hours to your game if you're not efficient.

    Unlike 6-7 months ago, I'm having fun with the above methods. I play on World Tier 1, I'm levelling up and never in any serious danger.

    This is a fun looter. I like Expeditions, because it's co-op and no mic is needed. The powers are cool.

    I think the game does not get more than a 7/10 because:

    1. It was launched broken/unfinished - credit for fixing it now, but it's not cool to charge $80 CAD for something you're 6 months away from finishing.

    2. You cannot jump in this, like Diablo III (only with guns), and I still hate having to find a ramp to kill enemies that are high up.

    3. The graphics look like 2014-2015.

    4. The premise is good, but the story is not.

    In closing:

    I don't think this game is as bad as my first rating, and after New Horizon, I gave it a second chance. I am glad I did because I am having a lot of fun now.

    I believe in second chances and Outriders got one. They finally delivered on the promises at launch and I like to say "better late than never"/    … Expand

    Want to thank the Developers (People can Fly) for delivering this awesome game to us. The experience has been a breath of fresh air in the Looter Genre. FUN ... Lots of other titles want to be so damn serious. The corny dialog voice acting had me engaged. The Gun play, Loot, sure its linear but that what they build iys up for. Look forward to future expansions

    The gameplay itself is interesting as it has a cover mechanic system similar to Gears of War but is completely unnecessary since the combat is more aggressive and fast paced. Plus, the cover system is very archaic in design--clunky and actually hurts being agile. You cannot vault over tons of obstacles. You constantly are forced to take stairs or ramps when you should obviously be able to climb up a ledge but cannot. I would have much preferred the ability to jump and crouch and have a more natural, dynamic cover system that does not involve hard latching to walls. Would have complemented this game a lot more.

    Graphics have moments of being decent but overall, nothing special. A bit dated when considered in the AAA group of games (which its priced as such). Sound is OK. Its not always synced well and has a horrible level control--many times it randomly gets too loud which if wearing headphones is painful. I also do not care for the sound effects of some skills and weapons. But overall, the guns and skills do sound impactful. They just could have improved details.

    The game is also fairly 1 dimensional in design. You have an "arena" where you clear enemies out, go to a connection piece (usually a door), then go to the next "arena." Its fine for the game play but at the same time, can be monotonous. Its definitely an old school design and unoriginal. I would have preferred more dynamics with bigger maps to create more potential. Plus, there are these AWFUL transitional cutscenes. You always get stuck with a brief black screen, very brief cutscene of you opening something or jumping a ledge, then another brief black screen to then start playing. It happens for nearly everything. It hurts the cinematic feel with many situations. Even the different stages of a boss do this. I would have preferred staying in third person while watching a boss undergo changes vs this jarring effect. Just needs to be much more seamless in design.

    The different classes are definitely unique to each other. They have some cool abilities and cool looking gear. This is more of the highlight of the game because you definitely will feel powerful in most situations but once you get about World Tier 8 or 9, you will start noticing a major drop-off to balance between Anomaly and Fire Power--something the devs need to drastically rework to help implement greater build varieties between the two stats. Anomaly Power just falls off hard without some core Legendaries. Crafting is clean and simple for the most part with decent cohesion and interactions between the large variety of Mods. Again, not exactly a ton of depth like say Diablo 3, Warframe, Borderlands 3 or many other looter type games. But still fun to optimize builds.

    Another area the game needs some work on is AI. Enemies are nothing too special. Overall, they dont do bad. Sometimes I wished the ranged units would maneuver from cover to cover more and melee enemies didnt run in nearly a straight line to you all the time (give them an evasive maneuver which the human versions actually do but not most monsters or Elites). Ranged enemies can also be way harder than their bosses they accompany. They have insane levels of tracking (my god snipers are dumb to deal with in a couple maps) and 'pounce' attacks will actually home in on you even if you dodge (dumbest thing ever). And most enemies will stagger you even if youre mid dodge (no I-Frames when dodging). You can actually get almost stun-locked at times and its incredibly frustrating. The overzealous stunning is actually an issue that definitely needs attention.

    Oh and endgame is a pretty monotonous. Grinding and looting is fun but typically it's best when there's more than 1 mode to grind.

    Overall, fun game but needs a lot of work still and doesnt do anything new or unique in the genre, which is fine if it actually had more diverse content. Plus, it has many bugs and performance issues thus a major reason for a low score. Ignoring the issues, I would give this game a 6/10 tops.    … Expand

Server issues made the game unplayable at launch - attempts to fix the game have caused more serious issues like entire inventories being deleted for many players. Updates released right before the weekend so there's no real chance of rolling back the broken updates or rolling them back.

    Yesterday happened to me the Inventory Wipe Bug: 50 hours playing the game and now I have my endgame character emptied. Developers are roaming in the dark. That's a shame because I liked the game even after connections problems and continuous crash on PS4 PRO.

    Most of the negative reviews here is based on the struggles experienced when the game first was released. And yes, there were a lot of issues! But seriously, it truly is an amazing game! My friends and I took a few days break from it, and when we returned, most of the bugs seemed to be fixed and we have really been enjoying it since. I recommend this to everyone.     One of the most underrated games of the year.
    Outriders is, basically, one of the most fun TPS games released during this years.
    With a great gunplay, and an actually amazing plot.
    If you enjoy playing TPS games, I can safely recommend you this one.

    I did not like the game after playing the demo version of this game, I did not like the most important part of it - it is an element of the shooter where it is completely absent, it is simply impossible to play.The weapon wobbles and it is inconvenient to shoot

    Outriders is worth the time investment so far, in spite of its clunkiness and server instability at launch. Although the game has areas it needs to improve, the core ideas and gameplay are incredibly strong, making it easy to overlook whatever flaws are present. It's also an easy game to recommend for both solo players and groups of friends looking for a shooter to dive into together, and because of the world tier mechanic, anyone with any level of skill can jump into Outriders and have a great time. With a handful of hours left to go in the main campaign, that doesn't appear likely to change - though this review will be updated and finalized once completed to reflect the whole of the experience either way.

    Outriders offers an alternative in the looter shooter genre that is very enjoyable if played in company, but without offering anything groundbreaking compared to other alternatives. Its connectivity failures ruin the gaming experience.

    At first glance Outriders might look like some other shooters such as Destiny or The Division, but its complicated and diverse combat help it stand alone and impress, and with some better support and polish can easily challenge other loot shooters in the market.
