Contagious Memories is one of the most ambitious entries to the Outbreak series to date. From the Voice Overs (with the "flat/monotonous" tones of the early era of Survival Horror) to the absurd unlockable "mode" and side-game, CM does embrace what it means to be a fan of the 90s to early 2000s survival horror genre. The developer has a sadistic side demonstrated through gameplay traps (save your inks and only use them when needed). The last sprint of the game is a painful experience (just because of enemy placement and frequency).
While we shouldn't compare Dead Drop Studios to an AAA developer/publisher, the sole developer threw a lot of time and energy into Contagious Memories. From the improved lighting to updated textures compared to other entries into the Outbreak series, it's a sign that the developer is finally finding their groove.… Expand
