The brief levels offer a perfect bite-sized morsels, and you may even end up biting off more than just a nibble each time you play, slamming just one more coin into the slot to start another round.

If you can see beyond the horrible graphics, Operation Warcade will scratch that VR shooter itch. [June 2018, p.88]

Operation Warcade isn't a terribly innovative game, but it's fun enough if you're just looking for a very basic arcade shooter. Just don't expect a definitive VR experience from it.

Operation Warcade is fun in short bursts. The Immersion Point idea stops it being just another shooter and the medals awarded at the end of each level add to the replayability. It is ultimately a simple game that thanks to its poor graphics and the repetitive nature of the levels struggles to truly draw you in.

May be good for what it is, but definitely not worth it full-price. Wait for a deep sale.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Operation Warcade is pretty fun it puts you the player inside an arcade surrounded by AI People who are playing at arcade machines and cabinets. You are standing in front of the arcade cabinet for Operation Warcade once you start up the game you find yourself actually in the arcade cabinet looking at a battlefield of sorts as it scrolls by from left to right. You have your duel weapons in hand and you have the opportunity to shoot different powerups which can give you different guns, grenade types and other crazy things. There is also a powerup block that teleports you into first person view in different situations like being the pilot of a jet on a strafe run etc.. The game is fun and I suggest you checking it out if you enjoy VR but the graphics the overall difficulty and longevity of gameplay leaves a bit to be desired. Full Review »
