    ONE PIECE: Grand Cruise feels like a trip aboard a dinghy rather than a pirate ship. Even simply allowing for free travel around the boat as the show’s various characters react and move around would’ve given players something more interesting to do.

    All in all fun and able to show the historical characters of the brand from a different point of view, ONE PIECE: Grand Cruise would have won hands down our sympathy (and sufficiency) if it had been proposed not as a game, but as a 'VR experience, maybe free or otherwise at a price consistent with the very few contents offered by the package.

    Terrible, useless, boring. This would be enough to discourage the purchase of One Piece, but what must also be added is the total lack of content.

    One Piece Grand Cruise is short, boring and without any replay value. Only the most die-hard fans of the series will enjoy to discover the Sunny in VR. Don't bother unless you truly live for Eiichiro Oda's work.

    This game should have been the ultimate fan service to One Piece fans but unfortunately the game severely disappoints. The limited gameplay that the title offers is repetitive and doesn't add a whole lot. The parts where you're blasting ships and a Kraken is fun but wears thin very quickly. One Piece: Grand Cruise definitely had potential but the developer didn't take any chances at all.

    One Piece: Grand Cruise is certainly a pretty game, but there’s nothing much to do in its big world. Nothing fun, in any case. It’s a boring, short and annoying game that hurts the One Piece franchise.

    Grand Cruise is expensive for what it has to offer with barely half an hour of playtime. As cool as it is to become a Straw Hat Pirate, the two barebones mini-games are boring to play and look pretty bad. Fans of One Piece might enjoy this, but that's it.

    The premise of Grand Cruise seems promising: a virtual reality mini-game set in One Piece's colourful world. However, it's an awful bare-bones VR experience and the fact that they're charging a decent chunk of change for it is ridiculous.

When you start the game you can choose the Navy Attack or Kraken scenarios.

    After a short intro you're given a choice to visit a part of the ship. You can only visit Nami's Room and the Galley in the Navy scenario but in the Kraken scenario you can visit the Sickbay and Upper Level as well. Each area you visit has two characters who talk to you, one doing most of the talking.

    In the Kraken scenario they ask you questions (which don't change anything) and you can look at one of 3 items in the room to choose who will congratulate you at the end (the third item always being Luffy's hat).

    After visiting an area and a short conversation you're taken to the feature minigame of the scenario. where you use the PS4 controllers gyro or the Move controller to aim. The Navy Attack is a short shooting gallery where you blast cannonballs and other debris out of the air before it hits the ship. The Kraken has you shooting at a very ugly octopus for a bit before it gets driven off. It's during these minigames you see the major problem with this being a port of a VR experience at an event. Multiple other VR "players" surround you and take part in the minigames, unfortunately they're crack shots and leave little for the player to shoot during the Navy attack.

    After the Kraken attack you see a short action scene with Luffy and it's over, the Navy attack barely has anything after it's over. Overall it's over before it begins, there's almost no interaction in the conversation areas and the minigames are disappointing.

    I'd only recommend this to superfans who are dying to see their favorite characters up close in VR, no matter how short the conversations are.

    I appreciate them releasing this VR showcase to the rest of the world but it's definitely not worth $9.99. Hopefully they make a lengthier One Piece VR game in the future    … Full Review »

    It was an amazing experience to actually be on the ship and see these characters up close. It felt amazing.     It’s a cute little VR experience, exactly what I was expecting from it! It’s fun getting to see the Sunny and see all of the Straw Hats!
