Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren’s Call builds off of what made the original great and, potentially at least, lays the groundwork for what could be a great finale with Davy Jones. A slight change to some hidden object puzzles and a fast travel system show that Artifex Mundi are continuing to refine their formula, and I hope it’s a sign that there are more new additions on the horizon.

Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren’s Call is a decent hidden object puzzle game and is pretty good at what it does. It has also improved on aspects of the earlier games by adding some much needed puzzle variety. This game is not going to appeal to everyone, but it does a great job of being a decidedly casual style of game to appeal to a more casual audience.

If you happen to enjoy puzzle and logic games, it's very easy to recommend Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren's Call. With its variety of puzzles all strewn along a solid (but not spectacular) story and combined with a helpful hint and navigation system, a puzzle fan is virtually guaranteed hours of entertainment here. As it turns out, if you're a puzzle enthusiast, perhaps you should heed this Siren's Call...

In Nightmares from the Deep 2 you play as Sarah Black who is the Curator of a Naval Museum in the Caribbean where a large display of items from her last Journey sits. The Game starts by showing you in you office late one night when a man brings a Package over and says she is the only one that can open it. She reluctantly opens the package after you the player take over and solve one of the games first puzzles and she finds an artifact that seems to fit perfectly with one of the artifacts that she had brought back from her last adventure in the previous game. Not a moment after this first puzzle is complete that enemies burst into her Museum and a fight breaks out in which Sarah is knocked down and out. The man who brought the package fights off the attackers and then takes Sarah out of the Museum and away from the Danger for the moment. This is only the opening scene and things are already intense which made for a very interesting way for Artifex Mundi to begin this Adventure..

Without going to much further into detail regarding what happens next, I would like to say that this game is fantastic. I loved the character animations and artwork. The Story was great and challenged the mind. I feel like this is the perfect game for anyone who is seeking a great puzzle game that has many twists and turns. Later in the Game if you come across the Kraken multi Puzzle and get frustrated due to it's complexity don't give up, this was one of my favorite puzzles in the game and it may seem tough but take you time and pick away at it and you will succeed.

Bravo Artifex Mundi, Your games keep getting better and better.
