Not your ordinary Dating Simulation game!

I was surprised how hooked I was with the story of Nicole. I spent over 4 hours on my first session with it as it held me in and I wanted to know more. I was surprised how hooked I was with the story of Nicole. I spent over 4 hours on my first session with it as it held me in and I wanted to know more.

You can play this game as both a Otome and Visual Novel game, I decided to play it as the Visual Novel but I will surely go back to play it as an Otome game after finishing it so I can get the experience of the Dating Simulator aspect of the game.

You play as the character Nicole, hence the name of the game. Nicole has just started University / College where she soon learns that there has been some abductions of students, 3 to be exact at her campus. Along the journey you can take up part-time jobs, explore locations, do some recreational etc.
You will also meet four main characters - Jeff, Ted, Kurt & Darren who all have different personalities, these are the four characters that Nicole may or may not date, but there's a twist, maybe one of these four characters is the person reasonable for abducting the students!

The game contains up to 10 different endings, so it is worth a second or third play through.

Once again, I enjoyed playing this game. Its not your everyday game, that's why I like it.

Obviously, you could just play Nicole as a traditional VN, but that feels like it’s missing the point — and, moreover, if you do that, it’s not like the story or the characters are all that interesting. Which means your two options here are to either read through an incredibly tedious novel, or add to the tedium by turning the game into a life-sim/visual novel. Whichever way you choose to play Nicole, one thing is certain: it’s going to bore you.

Whilst there's a surprising amount of endings to uncover in Nicole, the act of getting there feels tiresome and monotonous. There's a decently sized cast to interactive with but it's all handled at a slow pace. The stat building strangles the immediacy and the requirements needed for endings lead to a serious grind. There's some decent characterisations here but this game struggled to hold my attention.
