Not the charmer its predecessor was, but a jolly 40 hour epic with dashing combat and an engrossing empire-building subgame. [Recommended]

This is brilliant, it’s everything I wanted the game to be and maybe even a little bit more.

While it most certainly has a simplistic way of looking at the world, when there’s so much cynicism surrounding us in our everyday, it makes entertainment this boldly, earnestly optimistic all the more revitalizing.

7 hours in and this game is addictive and rewarding in a way that suggests there will few other games this year that can compete. It is as if Level-5 have put everything they have done in a cauldron and magically created this incredible RPG. [Provisional Score = 90]

A good game that sadly lives in the shadow of its excellent original.

It’s a game where I always knew what I was doing and why, and, more importantly, I enjoyed doing it. Revenant Kingdom isn’t the Howl’s Moving Castle game I’ve always dreamed of. It’s something much better.

I loved the first Ni No Kuni and they captured the same atmosphere in this game. The gameplay is great: fluent battles and perfect controls. The game looks absolutely stunning and the surroundings are varied. A musthave for fans of the genre and if you've played and loved the first game, you should definitely play this one. Full Review »
