It’s $8, right? I definitely think so. 16 new, fun events two new cars, and a new car class. Definitely worth $8.

The main game was one of the most fun racing games I've played. However, this is one of the most barebone DLCs I've ever played. I'm surprised they bothered recording voicelines for it. You get new types of races that are pretty fun but unlike the main game you can't customize your Speedcross Car's looks or performance until you finish all of the Speedcross races (it upgrades automatically between races). Unless you really like the Mini or Infiniti there's really no point in buying them to customize them. The Mini included in the DLC is relatively good at offroading and drifting so it may be helpful for the completing the driftzones in the main game.

If I had paid for the main game I'd be more disappointed but for $8 as if I made a delayed payment for the main game. I would say this is definetly not worth the price unless you can get it on a good discount
