A strong first outing on the PS4 that's pretty great as is and worth considering for anyone at all interested in motocross. Next year's version should be quite interesting.

MXGP provides a wonderful racing experience. The unpredictable physics, terrain deformation and challenging opposition (whether it be online players or AI set to hard) combine to make a gritty racing game, which you can have plenty of fun with thanks to the sheer about of content.

A good, solid game based on World Championship license of motocross. A good experience for those who like this sport.

After the success of MotoGP 14, MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame left me cold. While the racing mechanics are fine, the boring progression is made worse by a number of questionable design decisions. Worse yet, none of the real world tracks stand out and the graphics aren't very good for a PlayStation 4 game. MXGP is a big disappointment.

If you appreciate arcade or racing simulations that aren’t just about speed or horsepower but rather the balance, control, and rhythm it takes to manipulate them, MXGP would make for a most reliable partner at the starting line.

Perhaps the enhancements in its port to PS4 are not enough to make it a worthy buy, but the visuals take a step forward, headed to next-gen and it's not just 1080p, but a full change. The extras of PS4 version are interesting, but they don't make it a must for the console.

It’s decidedly more realistic take on the sport of MXGP may not endear fans looking for a more over the top MX vs ATV like experience but fans of the sport of motocross should enjoy this.

MXGP captures the motocross feeling and delivers decent dual-stick controls to keep bike and rider under control. Unfortunately technically the off-road travels don’t seem optimized for PS4.

MXGP lacks a bit of polish, then, but spend a few races working out the difficultly that suits you before you dive into the career and it really is a decent racer, even if it’s not a massive leap from the PS3 and 360 versions.

The solid controls and reasonably-exciting gameplay make it fun for a while, but the modes are far too similar with only surface-level changes beyond the overall length of the events to set them apart.

MXGP offers realistic challenges in the mud, but the lack of entertaining modes shortens the game's lifespan.

MXGP for PS4 has four extra tracks and slightly better graphics, but is still the same boring, almost clinical and thus disappointing motocross game.

Interesting control scheme, but not much else.

A straightforward campaign and surprisingly solid online mode make this an enjoyable enough ride for newcomers, but those that are a little pickier about what they play may want to wait and see what improvements next year’s edition brings.

This games completely legit. It's great for the price first off. The graphics arnt terrible, for ps4 they arnt good though. However the gameplay is good fun little story and I got the platinum too. Bad thing about it is the online is a ghost town. I'm giving it a ten just to boost the overall rating. Full Review »

This game's physics blow any ATV vs MX game out of the water. Leaning and bike control is almost perfect once you figure the controls out. The career mode is in depth and satisfying.

The only reason this game hasn't scored a perfect 10 for me is how you unlock bikes. I ride a 2015 KX450F in real life, and was dying to hop on one in this game. But, you have to be a ridiculous rank to unlock them for your made up character. Another thing I would like to see in MXGP2 is the ability to customize bike graphics and such.

All in all, if you're a motocross fan or just love dirt bikes, this is the best game you can buy.
