This game is awesome, and way more fun than it should be for the simple premise. If you enjoy sims then this game should surely please you. I remember seeing it when it was a kickstarter project. It semms like a boring premise for some few hardcore fans but in fact this game is very enjoyable for all. I had to drive close with antoher truck leave it on a hard ground and pull the K-700 out. It took an hour but it was super satisfying to solve it. This game is not about driving miles for minutes this game is about driving 1 mile for hours.
Most of the time you'll be driving around and delivering logs. I recommend to spend some time in challenge mode to get used to everything. Challenges are short and fun.
    Enjoy the game.

This is a great game. If you already played spintires for pc you'll probably still enjoy this remake for ps4. It would be almost a perfect game if they implemented pc mods, say via the website for approved models and maps. What i enjoyed in the PC version is the ability to just rockcrawl in a modded vehicle. For my breakdown of the review. The game has out dated graphics which still look amazing, the games got fluid dynamics, terrain deformation, volumetric smoke, great HDR and overall the best visual physics besides some ugly unrealistic artifacts. The damage model lacks though, wish they put beamNG damage physics in. The game is very challenging. It's a refreshing break from high paced sim racers. It's not for everyone getting stuck in mud and fuel consumption is the challenge. The steering while is kinda realistic in >800 degrees way but it is way too sensitive. The manual gear box is not real, unfortunately it only allows a swap to the transmission and automatic. No clutch, or shifting is really required. It's not spintires 2, it does lack new content and if you played it before it's definitely overpriced. The settings are weak as well the tuning controls and specific options are extremely basic. The multiplayers server browser sucks, and while it should have one, it sucks. There's no quick matchmaking either. Trying to get a game going is brutal. Expand

This is one of those games that really rocks if you're into this kind of stuff. I've had so much fun with this game, it's unlike everything else. I can spend hours just relaxing, driving through mud, craning up timber. The multiplayer is a bit lacking and I wish there was more challenges, as these are golden! The physics is just spot on. As most people turn to get there racing fix from GT Sport there is a game rolling over the hill and down a slippery muddy hill, in a big fat truck. MudRunner will be so far away from anything you've played before, on any wheels come to that.

As most people turn to get there racing fix from GT Sport there is a game rolling over the hill and down a slippery muddy hill, in a big fat truck. MudRunner will be so far away from anything you've played before, on any wheels come to that.

Never having played a game like this before I have to be very careful on how to review it. You see not being familiar with this type of genre I'm having to be very open minded. I see this game as a puzzle game on wheels, VERY big wheels. You have tasks and have to solve them. Most are fetch and carry but you have to plan on the best way to achieve your objective. You have various 'rigs' at your disposal and using these to plan ahead and get the job done. You can even get online and team up in a co-op mode to half the burden and use team tactics to get the missions done.

You can choose different trailers, carriers, cranes, pulleys etc etc and this choosing of the right tools and vehicle is crucial. You will get stuck, see my epic fail video, and when you do, trying to figure out how to get out of the mud is another puzzle in itself.

The mud is the star here. The physics are quite brilliant as it shifts about round your tires and clings to the paintwork, ploughing through water washes it off but it won't be long before you end up in mud again as it's everywhere. You really feel like your doing battle with the huge steering wheel as you wrestle with the terrain. Things can get quite tense as you start to slide off towards a river edge or steep road edge. You're not just thrown into the deep mud, a very well put together tutorial will hold your hand and really get you to grips with most of the perils that lie ahead. You will need to learn how to refuel and repair to succeed. As you go you will unlock garages and trucks, even complete bonus objectives. Your winch is your best friend. It will get you out of many a large hole that you get yourself into but don't be fooled, like I was, into thinking it will rescue you at every turn, it wont.
You can attach to many a different solid objects and pull yourself out of trouble.

MudRunner is not going to win awards for great looks and next to some games it's fair to say it looks very last gen but that's not being cruel as the game does a great job modelling the trucks, the stars of the show, the world itself suits the game, dirty and rough. Sound booms out of my sub woofer when starting up the beasts and some or the 8wheel monsters really do make the floor shake. My dog kept looking up as another truck started up.
The camera takes some getting used to and at first you'll be all over the shop with it but you soon come to realise why it pans wildly as you start to need to see all round your vehicle to avoid another slide to your doom.

Hats off to the developer Saber Interactive, MudRunner is different and fun to play. It deserves a look and truck drivers and the like are going to really lap this up as they will play it like the simulator it has achieved to be. You wont be disappointed.

Very uncommon game with excellent physics and quite relaxing gameplay. My real-world off-road experience works in this game and it's very cool!

Jogo extremamente divertido, bonito e desafiador. Com sua engine própria conseguiu criar uma física quase perfeita de lama, areia e rochas. Claro que para quem procura história esse não é o jogo. Mas para quem procura desafio, belos gráficos e realismo, e também curte a temática, pode ir sem medo.

Great off-road and truck simulator. More like a sandbox, no much game mechanics. But it was one of the best games for me released in 2017

Only thing we could use is more 1 star vehicles. Jeep wranglers, Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Diesels, Chevy Duramax, Ford Powerstroke, etc. and more customizable cars. Such as different variants of parts for these 1 star vehicles.

New players might feel a bit intimidated and frustrated at times by the many unexplained mechanics, but if the time and dedication is put into it, Spintires: Mudrunner can become a dirty but somewhat fulfilling experience you can return to again and again.

For those of you undecided on whether or not to give Mudrunner: A Spintires Game a try, you need to ask yourself what you’re looking to get from this game. If you’re looking to simply relax and sling mud around a track in a speeding ute, then this isn’t the game for you (I suggest going back to the Motorstorm games for that). If you’re looking for a technical 4WD simulation experience that replicates the act of off-road driving remarkably well, then Mudrunner is definitely what you’re looking for. It runs well enough on consoles, the controls make sense and it has plenty of replayability with bonus objectives plus a fun multiplayer experience. Just like real off-road driving, Mudrunner can be frustrating and difficult, but for the most part it’s fun, satisfying and gloriously messy.

If you're able to handle the annoying camera and slow pace, Spintires: MudRunner may just surprise you with its deep, varied and challenging gameplay.
