Sep 27, 2016Mount & Blade: Warband is one of the most unique experiences available on PS4. It's a game that people will overlook due to the slightly out dated graphics, but for those that do take the plunge, a polished and addictive gem awaits them.

Sep 16, 2016The tasks may seem menial at first, but when you get in your first proper big battle with all the chaos of swords clashing, archers firing arrows, and cavalry charging the game just comes together. Mount & Blade: Warband is one of the hardest games I’ve played and that just makes it so very satisfying when you succeed.

Dec 13, 2016Any player with a taste for a medieval warlord’s life and a tolerance for dated graphics shouldn’t pass up the chance to sink their teeth into Mount and Blade: Warband. Though the PC version may be a bit easier to recommend thanks to the prevalence of mods and a more established community, folks without that option will do just fine on consoles.

Oct 6, 2016An RPG that is more about building an army and then leading it into battle is in many ways so much more interesting than an RPG where you’re in control of a one-man army and in pursuit of personal power. I only hope that the release of this game, now, means that there is more Mount & Blade coming, because there really is nothing else like it out there.

Sep 16, 2016A true curio in the most literal sense, Mount and Blade: Warband will sharply divide PS4 players according to the premium that they place on aesthetics. For those who can look past such failings though, hundreds upon hundreds of hours of play awaits with a game that combines medieval combat, strategy and role-playing quite unlike any other. Just don’t stare at it eh? It’s rude.

Sep 19, 2016Watband is an interesting console game with a simple graphical design but with a gameplay deep and very satisfying.
-
Oct 30, 2016A lazy port. The game is always awesome and pleasant, but nothing has changed since 2010. The only good news is that there are almost no bugs.
-
Oct 17, 2016Six years after the original release, Mount & Blade Warband arrives on consoles, with its load of strengths and weaknesses. First among the latter is the graphics. The transition from the "Mouse + Keyboard" combination to the joypad, also, complicated the troop management and the precision of the controls.

Playstation Official Magazine UKOct 16, 2016A rare RPG that gives you freedom - real freedom - in a world that feels truly alive. [Nov 2016, p.91]

Sep 16, 2016Mount & Blade: Warband is an awesome "Middle Age simulator". If you are not afraid of an hard initial approach and love roguelike mechanics, this game could give you a lot of hours of pure fun. The translation on console has however some defects, like the less approachable combat system on pad, the strategic component that is more difficult to use and no mod support.
-
Oct 4, 2016This medieval simulator is a technical mess, with mediocre graphics, clumsy controls and a steep learning curve. However, if you manage to look past all that, there's still something to like here.
-
Jan 20, 2017I have to be honest, after only a few hours of playing the game, I got bored and lost motivation to keep playing.

Pelit (Finland)Nov 9, 2016No mod support, lesser multiplayer features, so why? Is this some kind of practice run for Mount & Blade 2? [Nov 2016]
-
Sep 28, 2016Bewildering at first, but with time you can discover a surprising amount of depth and originality. Sadly this PS4 version is rather unnecessary with poorly optimised controls and no mod support.
-
Sep 24, 2016For as old as Mount and Blade is there is something fresh about its main combat mechanic. However this does not excuse the whole package which is as old as its concept. If you are looking for a more involved hack and slasher then you may want to give this a try, however be prepared for shaky controls, poor camera angles and general rustiness that unfortunately brings the game down.
-
Sep 20, 2016This is a very complete and engaging game, but it feels like the console version hasn't been too well executed. If you can forgive some technical and control issues, you'll find a very good game.
-
Sep 27, 2016Mount and Blade is a game we loved (and still love nowadays), and that's exactly why we mourn for this console version, that adds absolutely nothing to the PC version, and lacks important stuff like Mods and 64-player multiplayer.
-
Sep 26, 2016Better late than never? I disagree. The visuals are outdated and although there are some interesting control schemes at work, the appeal that the pc version generated a few years ago just isn’t there.
