    Can't believe it's a Japanese game, the developer does need to think about how to produce a better game with more CG and battle modes. Though the IP is low profile in Japan. I do love monkey king itself; thus, a 7 will be given to this game.
    Look forward to Monkey King series games with improvements.

    This game is borned out of a Chinese movie with the same name. It will tell us a story between Tang Priest(previous incarnation) and Monkey King(Sun Wukong). This story is based on Journey to the West but it is also a new created story. I was very happy when the game was put on sale.
    You can play the whole game in 10 hours or less. It is a very ordinary ACT game. The game is splitted by    This game is borned out of a Chinese movie with the same name.     I watched the movie back in 2015 and was pretty excited when I heard a game based on the same story background came out. Honestly... it could have been a lot better given the potential of the entire IP. Bosses are a bit repetitive (the dragon boss was cool though, have to give credit where it's due) and Monkey King's movements are stiff.     Game design is too simply for an ACT, and the monsters models are monotonous.... As an oriental culture fan, the background story does intereted me, hope the game could be better.

    Feels like a basic PS2 game. Very annoying voice acting from the kid. Combat is simple, with some cool moments. Very easy, only a few different enemy types that just rinse and repeat throughout. Seriously not worth your time unless you're a fan of the old king fu show and have a young kid that you have nothing else to play with them.     Good game for kids, animation scenery is pretty. However the price is not match the game's design, difficulties and quality, a lower price will be more reasonable:)

    The fights have stupid animations which is creative and amusing! While, the game is too slow paced which I don't like it. It's a fun and simple game, good for all entry-level players.

    Ich liebe dieses Spiel und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Habe es 2x hintereinander durchgespielt.

    Mir gefällt die Story, das Design der Landschaften und der Charaktere und der Soundtrack. Vom Schwierigkeitsgrad her ist es zwar etwas zu leicht, aber dafür macht es einfach nur Spaß sich durch die Story zu spielen, welche auf jedem Fall fesselnd ist und es schafft mit einer Mischung aus    Ich liebe dieses Spiel und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Habe es 2x hintereinander durchgespielt.

    If your intention is to give this game to your kid or just a younger sibling, go ahead. This game is great for them and I bet I would have loved every pixel of it 20 years ago.
    Now, for a broader audience, for an adequate price, I would still recommend the game. Even though the combat is a little easy for an avid gamer, it's decent enough and Monkey’s adventure has a ton of charm.

    Monkey King Hero is back is an unfortunate throwback to a bygone era where tie-ins where made to capitalize on the appeal of their licenses, without any effort to make them enjoyable games.

    It’s a bit simple, so it’s never going to excite in the same way that God of War or Devil May Cry V does, but that doesn’t mean some won’t get a decent amount of enjoyment out of it.

    Sadly, what little fun there is to be had with Monkey King: Hero Is Back is constantly ruined with poor level design, repetitive encounters and annoying sound design.
