The newest addition to the Minecraft Story mode Episodes has a good storyline that visits a lot of exiting and different places. Unfortunately the Episode fails to deliver in terms of length and character development.

On one hand, these kind of spin-offs are quite enjoyable, but on the other hand, the decisions we make feel quite irrelevant. Still, if you've made it this far, you probably want to keep on playing.

The presentation is once again very good, with an interesting cast a lovable characters, a different style of story and new world to visit. The style of the game still has plenty of video game references and the humour is always fitting to the Minecraft franchise.

The story's kind of pointless, but you'll have fun playing through it. The technical issues should've been fixed by now, though unfortunately we still experienced some.

This episode is a step up from the previous one, starting up the halfway point of the Adventure Pass on a much higher note, but it falls short in longevity, proving that a character can be developed and well liked if focused on and given more tie as opposed to adding several characters that don’t necessarily add to the story.

Access Denied renews the focus on the Order of the Stone’s adventure and adds a couple of interesting new characters into the mix for this sci-fi-tinged episode. Unfortunately, it’s brief and more of a series of good moments peppered into a rather pedestrian plot than the upturn in form that was needed to kickstart this mini-series.
