Complete garbage. This game was so bad. Hit boxes are too small, story, too short, enemies too easy.
I wouldn't recommend buying for more than $5. Bull****!

It should be better, I hope Bandai Namco Games make some uptades on this game to make it better. Expand

I am really trying to like this game. I loved Power Rangers when I was younger, and played the Super Nintendo beat 'em ups that this game is attempting to emulate into the ground. I loved Power Rangers when I was younger, and played the Super Nintendo beat 'em ups that this game is attempting to emulate into the ground. This doesn't even qualify as a fan game. The reason? A fan wouldn't let this sloppy mess see the light of day. I can get over the cartoonish design, and I love that they included so many of the (human) characters from the first two seasons, thanks to a 'bundle pack' that makes me wonder if they plan on selling them later as DLC. However, it's all down hill from there. First off, this game looks and sounds like a flash game. I wish I were exaggerating. It's also pretty difficult. Not in a rewarding, feel good way, either. It's difficult because it's full of bugs, the hit boxes are dodgy, and it's oh so unforgiving when you die. A death could, and most often will, send you back fifteen minutes. Most games might be able to get away with this, but this one has a knack for tedious meat bag enemies that take too long to kill. Not because they're difficult, but because they have too much life. Play with a second, third, or fourth player you say? Sure, I'd love to! That would surely make it easier. The problem with that is that there is no online multiplayer. Even if there were, I should be able to easily trounce any beat 'em up like this with a single player. There is no excuse for this difficulty. I have thousands of hours on Monster Hunter (all versions combined), so I'm no stranger to difficult games. There just is no reason for this kind of punishment in a beat 'em up. No reward worth the risk of being set back fifteen to twenty minutes because you didn't see the Alpha 5 message telling you how to do a thing. A thing that you're supposed to know how to do in order to proceed or kill a certain type of enemy. There is a bug that holds you in place after a combo until you let go of the analog stick. I tried it with the d-pad, and the same results were obtained. Another similar bug allows you to control the character, but you find yourself against an invisible wall, only able to walk up or down. Luckily, this is often only a few seconds, but you can die from it easily. Both of these bugs are common in my experience, the later being somewhat less so, with the former being a constant problem. Then there is the experience system. I was so excited when I saw they had implemented an RPG like system of leveling up, complete with a skill tree. It was painfully apparent that it would give grinding a whole new meaning. Early in games with a leveling feature, you expect to get the first few level ups in a very short amount of time. In this game, on the other hand, it is a chore. You get two or three orbs from each enemy that go to your experience bar, no numbers, just a bar, and it moves incredibly slow. I played through the first area of level one three times, and the second and third once each, saving the experience as I went. This netted me about two-thirds of what I needed for a single level up. The boss at the end of the first level then pushed it up the rest of the way, with none left over for the following level. This tells me that grinding is pointless unless you're topping off after only beating a boss, as any extra experience gained when leveling up is forfeit. At that rate, rather than having experience be a thing at all, they could have just given you skill points for beating levels. I love that they made this game, but I hate that they put no work in to testing it. I realize that making games is hard work, and the people that made this did an amazing job with what they had. It's obvious to me that the people pulling the strings rushed this out to catch the Power Rangers Movie hype train, and nothing more. Think of the most tedious beat 'em up you've ever played. Now bump it out of the way, because this is going to take its spot. Expand

Well this is my penance for not reading the reviews first. The game was reduced to £3.99 on the PSN store and I thought it couldn't be bad for that price, but I was so wrong. This game is awful in every way.

Firstly, the game itself has crashed several times whilst I'm playing it, including on the very first level, meaning I've had to restart from the beginning of the level. The same also goes for when you die. There are no checkpoints mid-level, making for a very punishing and unrewarding game.

The enemies are dull and repetitive, taking far too many hits before dying. The combat is somewhat fun but marred by difficult hitboxes and overpowered enemies. The experience point system seems to be useless.

In short, avoid this cheap cash-in on nostalgia. Horrible little game. I'm so glad I did not pay £11.99 for it.

Wow, I didn't knew what to expect from this. Fortunately I can truly can say that I had a ton of fun playing it. It feels like how Turtles in Time Reshelled should've felt. I guess I was lucky enough to have someone else to play because multiplayer takes the most out of this game. Also, I don't get the need for online Co-op, share play works good enough. Very fun beat em up game and the game is a wonderful nostalgia trip. I may may be a little biased because Power Rangers was my favorite show growing up. Online coop would of been nice but IMO its worth 14.99.

This game looks great on screenshots, but that's about it. The moment you grab your controller you understand this is like a student project. I don't mind terrible animations and simple graphics, but the controls are horrible, game mechanics have zero ideas, enemies all the same and the start scheme with roll to pass in the game - we almost did not figured it out.

My son (5) likes the game, but I can't play this with him. It's just bad. I am sorry to give one, only if this was priced 4 USD I would probably give this four.

Great game! Takes me back to the old SNES and Sega Genesis days. Only issue is that there is no online multilayer. Other than that, this game is pure gold and lots of fun!

Ultimately, Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is lacking in so many ways. The basic combat system lacks polish, and boss fights look cool but are boring to actually play. The presentation also feels unfinished, with missing bouts of audio and a pause that occurs at inopportune times rather often. It gets the modes right, and the presence of local co-op is appreciated, but none of that matters when the basics aren't up to snuff. It might be fine for young kids, but fans who are looking for a throwback to their SNES/Genesis days would be better served by digging up those titles instead.

Simplistic, unpolished, and lacking any sense of inspiration or effort, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle will neither entice any new fans nor satisfy the nostalgic hopes of those familiar with the TV franchise’s brand of goofy action.

Overall, the game is on the short side, but the difficulty and having one life will help you time last. For a digital only game, it’s not too bad if you’re a diehard fan. Otherwise, you may find yourself getting easily frustrated.
