    this game is pretty solid. If you like the other metro game you will like it.

    The gun play is pretty good even if i wanted i did not like the ''cleanness'' system of the weapon The modification system is great and enjoyable The story is an nice one fairly simple even if there are hole in it I.E NOBODY notice Ana coughing like hell ?? wut or why the train track are still usable after    this game is pretty solid. If you like the other metro game you will like it.

    Being a big fan of this series i went with high expectations games still great but kinda frame drops and the endless conversation kills me and ps4 frame drop ruins the gameplay so far resident evil 2 was a better game of 2019

    Love it. More Metro to the people! Very immersive and for people complaining about "bad voice acting with Russian accents", change the audio to Russian with english subtitles like it is meant to be played. Way more immersive and much better voice acting there... I do agree that 30 FPS locked mode is a bad choice, the PS4 Pro should at least have the abiity for 60FPS and lower res...

    I absolutely loved the first two Metro games, but this one is a disappointment.

    Pros: Nice graphics Enjoyable combat (if you have ammo) Cons: Guns that just refuse to fire. (Gatling gun) Endless conversation that is plain boring Ridiculous load times Press and hold square - why not just press ? Poor objective information Even on normal difficulty the search for ammo All in    I absolutely loved the first two Metro games, but this one is a disappointment.

    All in all, this game is really starting to annoy me. Being assigned a mission by my wife - who suddenly thinks she is in charge - when I have zero ammo for two guns and a third gun which will not fire at all is just plain game stopping for me. Add in the mindless, boring conversation and it is all starting to grate on me.

    I will finish this and move on, I doubt I will want to replay it like I did with the previous two.    … Expand

    Игра отличная! Великолепная передача местной атмосферы! самая атмосферная игра из себе подобных. великолепный сюжет, достойный киноэкранизации. Отличная графика уровня 2018 года! Диалоге прописаны хорошо, заставляют и смеятся и плакать, так сказать.
    Минус только в физике, а именно в физике главного героя, нашего подопечного. Он, уак бы это сказать...., тупой, в плане ходьбы, прыжков, бега    Игра отличная!     Great game has to be a 10 alot of work gone into this. Amazing graphics attention to detail is superb would of been incredible in 60fps but does the job in 30fps on the ps4 pro.Story is good not brillant to much dialog at times. Gunplay pretty awesome with aim asset off everygun feels different and very different to any other generic fps.if your a fan of the series this is a must buy.     Всё субъективно - мне настолько не понравилось, что вряд ли запущу игру снова когда нибудь. Сейчас есть, во что играть, не за горами весенние проекты. Не помню, когда было такое же с другой игрой! А, нет, помню! Когда купил первый Хитман по распродаже на праздниках - запустил, посмотрел, вышел, удалил (на все ушло не более получаса)    … Expand

    Я бы не назвал эту игру отличной или прямо ужасной, игры средненькой халтуры, много недостатков можно найти как в сюжете, так и в графическом составе можно попридираться, да и игра сыровата, могли бы подтянуть баги и вылеты, я бы поставил 6-7 баллов, тут или цену снизить или игру надо было доделывать я считаю. Сюжет я прошёл на плохую концовку и он меня зацепил, хотя я редко проникаюсь сюжетами игр, тот же Tor я не смогу пройти из-за затянутость сюжета...     Great game with great story. Excellent graphics. There are some minor quality issues but they do not block gaming. I rate this game higher even than Withcer3 - so - highly recommended!

    I only rank a game with a zero if it's broken to the point of being unplayable... this game is that broken.

    I played through the first hour and then it crashed. I loaded it up again and my save data was corrupted. I started over again and played through up until the final mission. Now i can't progress because I need to ride a boat. Initially the boat was moving just fine.     Now i can't progress because I need to ride a boat. Initially the boat was moving just fine. Then it got stuck. I loaded up my last checkpoint and lost 6 minutes... no big deal. Now the boat won't move forward. It'll turn but literally won't move... I'm completely unable to progress through the final mission even after exiting the game and loading it from the menu.

    Outside of these glitches the weapon mechanics aren't exactly great and there are just too many sections where the protagonist is forced to walk or wait for other incredibly slow moving characters.
    I enjoyed the first two games much more as they were tense and the linear nature kept things moving smoothly. Exodus looks pretty but is surprisingly quite dull.

    I'll update my score if at some point in the future i'm able to move this dumb boat again but odds are i'm done playing this game.    … Expand

Все начинается с красивого повествования, тебя оно затягивает, тебе становится интересно, что же будет дальше, ты весь в предвкушении, но огорчаешься ты только на момент геймплея. Как только тебе дают возможность побегать по локациям ты понимаешь, что это сырое недоработанное говно. Персонажей хорошо слышно только когда ты стоишь вплотную к ним. Стоит отойти от них на 3 шага и ты уже практически ничего не слышишь. Так же и с разговорами по рации, из за этого ты пропускаешь важную информацию или просто какие нибудь важные моменты касающиеся сюжета. Почему нельзя сделать нормальные кат-сцены с нормальными диалогами, а не просто тихие голоса во время самого геймплея? Иногда персонажи говорят в один голос и ты ничего не понимаешь и это бесит. Управление деревянное, стрелять очень сложно, а иногда невозможно. Стелс очень странный и как будто недоработанный, противники тебя не видят когда ты стоишь к ним практически вплотную. Бесит то что постоянно приходится смотреть в гребанный планшет (мини карта была бы намного удобнее). Очень часто путаешься на локации (не понимаешь/не знаешь куда идти) и ты должен обходить всю локацию что бы найти то что тебе нужно (и это еще с учетом того что постоянно темно и везде противники). Сами противники дерганные и постоянно где то застревают или наносят тебе урон даже когда не смотрят в твою сторону, да и сама анимация персонажей кривая, дерганная и убогая. Из плюсов можно отметить неплохую графику и проработку локаций, игра довольно атмосферная и даже красивая. Сюжет так же довольно неплох. Озвучка годная и качественная (но какой в ней смысл если ты ничего не слышишь). В целом это все важные моменты которые есть в этой игре.… Expand

    Когда ты стреляешь врагу в лицу проходя по стелсу, видишь, как патрон влетает между глаз и не оказывает никакого эффекта - тебя бомбит. Ножи съедаются спинами противника, отскакивают и пропадают. Графика куда не шло, но вы видели текстуры опаленных головешек, замерзшего металла и аутдейтед огонь? Политизированность, медлительность главного героя, УЖАСНАЯ озвучка (я не так давно купил приставку, играл во все эксклюзивы инглиш онли и после the last of us видеть это - просто ад..). Немой гг до кучи, сюжет не драйвит, а лишь ставит вопросы "почему?-ведь это так глупо) Некоторые сюжетные элементы членов экипажа высосаны из пальца, в них не веришь (не говоря за "казахскую линию" и такую же "любовную" на коленке в тайге). Господи, я хотел набросать быстрое ревью, но это игра настолько плоха, что поток моего негодования не заканчивается. Я откровенно НЕ ПОНИМАЮ тех баллов критики что она имеет и НЕ СОВЕТУЮ в неё кому либо играть)    … Expand

    I cant think of anything negative to say about this game. The graphics are perfect, the sound effects in a headset are delicious and it has a well written story. I beat the game once but now im playing it a second time on game+ mode. I think 4A games or whoever made this game deserves a game of the year nod.

    Amazing game, the atmosphere is rich and engaging. It is nice and tense with a real sense of dread. I really enjoyed the previous 2 Metro games but this is by far the best of them. With the semi open world giving you every moment to explore with meaningful and relevant places. I love everything about it. Deep Silver has really given us a masterpiece.

    Metro is a good game. But there are some bugs. Sometimes I had to start over the level! But after ending I realized how great the game is. My rating 10. If you like games about post-Apocalypse you should not miss Metro Exodus!

    Never played such a great shooter game.
    Everything in the game feel and about the game IS SO REALISTIC.
    FANTASTIC!!
    I can't believe people even bother crying about Steam or Epic about such amazing game. Go play instead of crying, YOU WON'T REGRET I PROMISE :).

    Game is 20 out of 10 . No words, im in love with this game. Best thing in the game? ATMOSPHERE - it includes everything in. PLAY ONLY IN HARDEST MODE AVAILIBLE TO REALLY FEEL THE GAME!

Столкнулся с багом при котором персонаж отказывался стрелять и взаимодействовать с окружением каким либо образом. Итог перезапуск главы решил проблему, но проходить все по новой сильно испортило впечатление.Отличное продолжение серии игр Метро. Очень атмосферно и залипательно. Однако присутствие огромного количества багов сильно портит впечатление. Столкнулся с багом при котором персонаж отказывался стрелять и взаимодействовать с окружением каким либо образом. Итог перезапуск главы решил проблему, но проходить все по новой сильно испортило впечатление.

    Metro Exodus has no shortage of flaws, but it also packs a lot of personality to go with it. Gameplay is very slow and unique to the Metro universe so I think that puts a lot of people off. The glitches can be frustrating at times, especially with stealth, or the occasional surrendered enemy who is still shouting that he's going to blyat all over your face.     Отличная игра от украинских разработчиков. Да встречались баги но атмосфера и повествование сюжета перекрывают все эти минусы. Игра отлично симулирует выживание в постапокалиптическом мире, ты начинаешь переживать за всю команду.
    То что Артём не говорит, это конечно странное решение.
    А так я горжусь что кто-то из СНГ смог достойно показать себя на рынке видеоигр.    Отличная игра от украинских разработчиков. Да встречались баги но атмосфера и повествование сюжета перекрывают все эти минусы. Игра отлично симулирует выживание в постапокалиптическом мире, ты начинаешь переживать за всю команду.

My negatives, the technical issues, it crashed twice for me and there was occasional low fps, there's a few inconvenient locations where you snag on the ground for no reason, there's only one almost challenging puzzle but its optional for an achievement and sprinting can be anything from unresponsive or hyper responsive depending upon what mood the games in at the time,NO SPOILERS. My negatives, the technical issues, it crashed twice for me and there was occasional low fps, there's a few inconvenient locations where you snag on the ground for no reason, there's only one almost challenging puzzle but its optional for an achievement and sprinting can be anything from unresponsive or hyper responsive depending upon what mood the games in at the time, perhaps that's my controller, either way, it sucked.

    The positives, the levels are brilliant and diverse and mix up the game play, the graphics are amazing, the story is really good and gets you invested as well as foreshadowing the level design changes to come and the moral system makes complete sense now (why is twanging a guitar a moral?? I'm looking at you Metro 2033) and felt like a earned the good ending.

    What I'd like from the next game? Hunter, a still slightly psychopathic Metro 2034 Hunter. And Khan. And a little more supernatural stuff.    … Expand

The conversations kept me interested and got me caring about the characters. Only issue was the story was a bit short. Plus I kinda miss the dark ones as well.… Expand

    Pretty much if you've played the previous Metro games like I have and enjoyed them, then buy this. If you didn't enjoy the old ones then I can't guarantee you'll enjoy this. For people new to the Metro series, if you enjoy first-person survival set in a post-apocalyptic setting this could be for you but without playing the previous games the story may not have as much of a connection withPretty much if you've played the previous Metro games like I have and enjoyed them, then buy this. If you didn't enjoy the old ones then I can't guarantee you'll enjoy this. For people new to the Metro series, if you enjoy first-person survival set in a post-apocalyptic setting this could be for you but without playing the previous games the story may not have as much of a connection with you as it did with me. Things to bear in mind though, it's not a triple-a game, so certain game mechanics feel dated and the shooting isn't the best, voice acting and facial animations aren't anything to brag about and I did have heaps of issues with character dialogue overlapping and clipping issues, but I went in knowing all this and came for not for a polished triple A experience but instead amazing atmosphere and great single player story which is exactly what I got.… Expand

К моменту написания этого отзыва,а сегодня 28 февраля,я прошёл полностью Метро Исход и могу поделиться впечатлениями об этой игре. Начну с плюсов: Офигенно красивая картинка на PS4 (играл на PS4 Slim),очень красивые пейзажи и локации,наблюдал и рассматривал каждый уголочек с большим удовольствием,местами картинка даже завораживала,также очень крутая динамическая смена погоды.Окружающая обстановка,оружие,персонажи,предметы - отлично детализированы и тоже очень красиво смотрятся. Далее,отличная оптимизация игры на PS4,проседания FPS заметил только в начале игры,когда смотрел как от колесных пар Авроры выходит дым (пар?) ,в миссии,когда угонял Аврору,и это продлилось буквально пару секунд,и потом на протяжении всей игры я больше проседании FPS не заметил. Идём дальше,отличный стелс режим ,кастомизация оружия,большой выбор оружия. Великолепная механика и физика игры. Играя в эту игру на PS4 я не встретил серьёзных багов,только мелкие баги связанные с животными,текстурами, в очень редких случаях,например я убил мутанта и после смерти он лежал и у него очень сильно сердце билось как будто оно хочет выскочить)) Или же я прошёл насквозь через текстуру вагона в одном из локации))
    Музыкальное сопровождение игры очень и очень хорошее.
    Теперь из минусов : Очень плохая Русская озвучка! Прям Ужасная! Я до последнего надеялся,что они не повторят своих прошлых ошибок,но увы,озвучка просто курам на смех,моментами я просто начинал смеяться от абсурда)
    Средний сюжет,который не дотягивает до сильного. Я считаю,если бы разработчики нашли грамотного и сильного сценариста - все было бы намного лучше ( Не в обиду Дмитрию Глуховскому,just facts)
    Персонажи,к которым особо то ничего и не испытываешь, сильно не сопереживаешь,опять же это вопросы к сценарию.
    Слабые побочные задания.
    Несмотря на все минусы,ставлю твёрдые 8 баллов из 10,игра заслуживает внимания каждого уважающего себя геймера. Игра мне понравилась, но есть не большие не доработки, завис заложник, я не мог его освободить, а вспышку хотелось получить, я перепроходил всю главу из-за этого.(Всех врагов я убил).Еще была ситуация, когда я проходил игру получилось так, что у меня остался 1 фильтр и не было ресурсов, из-за сохранения главу не перепроходил.В целом игра очень хорошая, атмосфернее игры я не видел, превосходит предыдущие части, еще есть проблема с оптимизацией, падает fps когда проходишь мимо дыма, но я надеюсь это исправят, игра длинная(играл 30 часов), не знаю почему все жалуются "на псевдо открытый мир", мир можно сказать полностью открыт...Есть несколько концовок, лично я получил хорошую, мне понравилось.И еще не идеальное управление.     This is one of the best survival games I played so far. I was feeling really sorry for every missed shot. Also, gunplay is incredible! I was shooting AK-47 in a real life and never had similar experience in a game until Metro Exodus. Sound and feeling is really similar. For me, this is one of the best shooter I have played in years.     -The sensitivity took some getting used to, but then I knocked it on preset 2 and I stopped noticing it.
    -The FOV is a bit too narrow for my taste, and it could do with a slider, but like the sensitivity I stopped noticing it pretty quickly.
    -Some of the face models look a bit weird, but they're mostly fine.

    Now, here's what I DID like about the game:
    -Story is fantastic, and only gets better the further in you go.
    -The characters are very good, and you can actually see them develop throughout the story (even in Artyom, who's basically mute).
    -The combat is tense and satisfying. The human AI isn't really anything to write home about, but I greatly enjoyed the beasts AI.
    -The addition of the backpack and workbenches greatly helped the game, especially in the open levels.
    -The open levels were huge, atmospheric, and very detailed. It should be noted that if you simply rush through the story missions of these, then you're not getting the full experience. I implore you to go out and explore, it's very satisfying. (Side note: your binoculars have a hidden feature that reveals unexplored locations on the map. Look around with your binoculars on maximum zoom until you hear a click, then hold down R2 until it's done. This really helps with finding new places.)
    -The game is graphically beautiful, and is near orgasmic to look at.
    -The game is extremely atmospheric, possibly even more so than the last two games.
    -The sound design is pretty good, though I did notice they recycled a few sound effects from the last games.
    -Whoever did the first person animations in this game deserves a raise. I cringed (in a good way) whenever a spider was crawling on me, and they greatly improved Artyoms body language. All the other animations were very good as well.
    -Your choices have actual consequences. Not in a, "Oh, you were a bad boy Artyom, no good ending for you!" sort of way, but there was a clear line of logic between your choices and their results.
    -Not gonna spoil the ending, but it was fan-flippin-tastic. Literally one of the most tense moments in the game consisted of holding down R2, and it almost made me cry a manly tear.
    -Seems the game has a fair bit of replayability, and i'm looking forward to my second run.

    In summary, it's a damn good game, and I highly recommend it. It's definitely worth full price.    … Expand

It's a slower paced SURVIVAL shooter with some occasionally shocking horror moments. Your character isn't a Call of Duty hyper soldier who runs on walls, he doesn't heal from wounds by crouching behind a log for 5 seconds and he doesn'tSo listen, there's a lot of hate coming from people who don't seem to understand what the Metro series is about, at least from a gameplay perspective. It's a slower paced SURVIVAL shooter with some occasionally shocking horror moments. Your character isn't a Call of Duty hyper soldier who runs on walls, he doesn't heal from wounds by crouching behind a log for 5 seconds and he doesn't sprint as though he was wearing a fresh pair of nikes and nothing but a t-shirt and sweats. He sprints like a guy carrying 3 guns, a backpack full of ammo and crafting resources, gas masks etc etc etc. Admittedly this might turn some people off of the game but for fans of the series like myself this is what we're used to and essentially what we wanted and expected. As a survival game, it's all about weighing your options in any given scenario based on how much ammo you have, air filters, health packs and all that other good stuff. The nature of the game is the ever-present tension of knowing that each of your resources count so if you decide to go guns blazing in one encounter where stealth was an option, you may find yourself in a ''forced shootout'' shortly afterwards wishing you had slit a couple of throats rather than spraying your AK at all the goons you met just before or avoided the pack of irradiated wolf **** haha. I think if you enter this game knowing these things you're a lot less likely to get frustrated or surprised by any of it. Otherwise it might make you decide that despite the game looking cool it just might not be for you, the same way PUBG isn't for me even though it's also a first-person shooter. Different strokes for different folks as they say. I wouldn't go review bomb a game that I don't understand or that straight up wasn't made for the type of gamer I happen to be.

    Now as for THIS particular entry in the series, my thoughts are as follows:

    PROS
    - First off the graphics are staggering at times. Some lower resolution textures here and there but nothing overly noticeable. The lighting is particularly impressive, even at night.
    - The newly added feature of semi open world design is far more interesting than I originally anitcipated. They managed to make exploration (something that was hardly present in the previous games) quite rewarding.
    - Speaking of rewarding... LOOT. They have a pretty rewarding system in place for this game. You find weapons AND weapon parts and attachments spread out everywhere throughout your travels. New types of gadgets and consumables, new types of air filters, body suits, ammo pouches and other such components. Every time I see an abandoned house or cave or whatever I end up finding something of great use to me. I always look forward to looking for my next favorite gun or attachment.
    - The weapon modding is really quite flexible. Just to give you an idea, I turned a six-shooter revolver into an awkward yet functional stubby little silenced sniper rifle that saved me more than a few bullets while sneaking about.
    - You have the choice to take on situations as you please. There is a day and night cycle that is used for more than just an aesthetic change. During the day human enemies are more active and common, whereas at night the creepy critters of the wasteland are far more active forcing you to either spend a lot of ammo on taking care of them or slowly crawling through mud and bushes in the hopes that the pack of watchmen just south of you doesn't spot you and scream for backup. there is also a karma system in place where your decisions affect your ending. Sometimes human enemies will even surrender when they notice that their friends are dropping like flies around them and feel like you're too badass for them to handle. At that point it's your choice whether to leave them to their fate, finish them off or knock them out.
    - The gunplay is also really satisfying in my opinion. They feel weighty, loud and wildly powerful. The sound design is a big part of why they have such a satisfying crunch to them.
    - Finally, for fans of the series, The story is really good. The why and the how to this adventure beginning makes a lot of sense and is really engaging. Some occasionally awkward dialogue, but pretty forgiveable as it's translated from Russian. Interesting characters as well.

    CONS

    - The AI is sometimes dumb as holy hell. This is coming from me playing on Hardcore difficulty too. I'll end up playing on the hardest Ranger Hardcore difficulty at some point but I doubt it'll be much much better. Though they are pretty dumb they ARE, however, lethal. Death is always close in this game.
    - Sometimes clunky controls. Might get smoothed out with some patches.
    - Steep learning curve for anyone not familiar with the series or the survival genre.
    - Occasionally campy dialog.
    - Some framerate dips here and there but nothing like what some people have been claiming.

I would say maybe Horizon Zero Dawn would be one. But can't really name anything else, that's so completely out of this old "standard" approach to the FPS genre.

    I can understand technical issues (but I really had nothing game-breaking or any noticeable frame rate issue - but I must say I'm on a PS4 Pro) - but jeezus. With all that said, I really can't get enough of the FRESHNESS of the game - again, weapons, locations, dialogs, customization even. Do give the game a try. I personally had a blast and thankful for companies like 4A doing what they're doing, without trying to please everyone with STANDARD and boring af formulas (and no risk-taking)    … Expand

    At first I thought I wouldnt like it as much as the earlier Metro games, but boy was I wrong. Clearly the best in the series. Do I wish Artyom spoke? Yes, but other than this this is by far the most accomplished and riveting Metro game yet

    Good story and gameplay when there were no frame rate, popping textures and audio issues but there were a lot of issues, I'm sure in time these will all be fixed but there is no reason for releasing a game in this state, I'm giving an 8 instead of a 6 like I feel I should because I'm sure it will eventually get there (fingers crossed)

    superb game. Best game of this and previous years. I like it much more than GOW and RDR2. I'm playing on ps4 and there is a lot of bugs but i understand when it will be fixed the game will be perfect. 10/10. Good job 4a games. I want more your games

    The game on PS4 is absolute a joke! Frame rate horrible, bugs any time, npc floatinhg in screen, audio not synchronized with the characters. Loading times than more one hour. Wrong codes for the Expassion Pass, and the european version don't have the option to change the subtitles to portuguese-brazilian.

    The game is amazing, it has nice atmosphere and great design overall. Nice weapon customization and the story is really good, this is probably the best Metro game in the series, i really love it. Many of the reviews that are with "0" are from people that are angry that the game is not on "Steam" and review "bomb" it on all kind of reviewing websites, don't trust them.

    I see my original review was removed because I pointed out that PC gamers are deliberately review bombing Metro Exodus in the PS4 section...yet their reviews remain up. Crying because the publisher choose to go with Epic rather than Steam. Ok, then do so in the PC section...why deliberately review bomb in the PS4 section because of a PC issue??!!! I can live with 40 seconds to a point, but when I trip, fall and die and have to reload the game, well, I don't want to be constantly staring at a loading screen. Second, the game is littered with glitches--the worst of which--the game freezes and has to be reloaded--that's 4 more minutes of staring at the screen. And it happened far too often. The game has been out an entire year--inexusable.

    The story is passable, the gameplay actually works well enough (although I didn't like the sniper scope) and the graphics and sound are fine. There are some boring but skippable dialogue parts, so that's forgivable. The upgrade system is nice and I liked the crafting. People complaining about running out of resources need to simply play smarter. This is a survival game that rewards smart choices. I liked the scarce resources; it made the game challenging. However, the open world aspect felt kind of unecessary, and could be a bit boring. The missions were fun, I have to admit.

    If the game didn't freeze and if the load times were significantly faster I would probably give the game an 8.5/10 based off of what I played. Got pretty deep into the Caspian area before I quit. I found some upgrades for my sniper rifle and the game froze every time I tried to install them.

    In conclusion, the game is unplayable for me in it's current state. There is a good game hidden in there somewhere, but the frustration of long load times and glitches forces me to give the game a very generous 4/10. What a bummer.    … Expand

    Slow, boring , buggy. Insanly long load times. Half your time is spent getting stuck.on pebbles and the other half trying to figure out wtf your meant to do to progress. Honestly it been a bad generation for FPS and this was one ofvthe worst. The only good things I can say is they tried some new idead, but failed at all of them.

The bad parts of this game for me are the poorly written dialogue, bad voice acting, uninspired plot, forgettable characters and shallow, typical post-apocalyptic societies (been there done that). The long loading times (1-2min) are extremely aggravating too. Especially since you die pretty easily at higher difficulties and that forced me to play on normal, just to avoid staring at loading screens. I normally love NPC conversations that flesh out the lore but they were mostly painful to get through here, rambling on for too long (Krest, Admiral) and very poor voice acting (Miller, Olga, Giul, Baron). I just couldn't get invested in the story and world, often on the verge of giving up and moving on to other games. Also, the gunplay is clunky, some shots not registering despite my sniper scope clearly targeted on the enemy. The bow and Bulldog rifle are the most satisfying weapons to use.

    On a positive note, the environmental graphics are impressive, though not character animations. It has some nice guitar riffs, and exploration is engaging for a while.

    Devs, if you're reading this, plese go back to the dark, insidious tunnels if you're ever gonna do a Metro 4. My most disappointing game of 2019 just cos I loved Metro 1&2 so much.    … Expand

    So glad I rented this POS. Terrible controls *even with newest patch* and terrible AI. I got to Caspian and had enough. No idea how people rated this game so highly. Game is ugly, voice acting is atrocious. This is not even worth a rental.

    I wanted to give this game a higher score but it is unplayable on my ps4 pro. It is without a doubt not optimized well at all, and runs at maybe 24 frames per second. I had to put it down.

    So I'm new to metro played the first 2 this week and completed them to prep for exodus and I LOVED them! However exodus just won't click for me! I've never played a game with such clunky and slow controls! Severe lack of ammo and to Craft it is extortion! Awful game!

    Gameplay:
    Again, nothing special. You point and shoot your gun, with some inconsistencies in accuracy and damage. They attempted the Resident Evil approach of having limited ammunition but forgot that RE wasn't set in an open-world, making Metro's survival approach incompatible with their open world. Furthermore, far too often I was left without a clue as where to go next. The map wasn't made obvious until several hours into the game, by which point I had already experienced exasperation. Many other games have executed the concepts in Metro more successfully.

    Story:
    Some daughter of some commander is married to you but gets kidnapped and all hell ensues. Or something. The story is a bit incoherent or non-existent at first. Can't review it holistically as I was deterred after a few hours into the game.

    Conclusion:
    It's very easy to dismiss a review such as mine through noting I haven't played the whole game, however this is exactly why it can be argued as being an average or bad game - it did little to make me want to play it further. It was cumbersome and a chore to play, which is rather counterintuitive to the premise of videogames in general. Avoid this unless you're desperate for another open-world romp, and only then at a lower price.    … Expand

    I emailed the developers asking if they could give me an option to turn off motion blur as it's really bad for me in this game and what did they do they only gave options for low, medium etc and even on low motion blur after 15 mins it was impossible for me to play. Aim acceleration is enabled by default on the default preset (4) but using preset 2 removes that, although the input delay is still there. One of the most important aspects of any video game is being able to control things fluidly, and this game does the opposite of that. I love the MetroPlay this on PC, not on console.     Really wanted to like this game... I've enjoyed the previous installments so figured this would be pretty solid. The game is obtuse and the world design is just boring. Half the time you are wondering around wondering where the heck you are supposed to go and then when you do enter combat it just isn't that exciting. Wish I could sell this, but alas it's on PC.

The story of this game is that after a certain event happens in the first chapter you are forced to escape on a train with a group of rangers, the game spans over a year and at the start it is quite slow and introduces you to its non-linear open worlds and I must say this is a welcome change to the game. I enjoyed exploring the levels and finding suit upgrades, this will make the game easier later and vital for certain missions. But the reason I love this game is the final few chapters, it becomes an emotional roller coaster and has a few twist which I didn't see coming, I was so immersed and invested in these characters I wanted to see the outcome and wanted all these characters to survive.

    A negative I can see with this game is that the isn't as scary as the first two, but I have to disagree with that, it has some great moments when you go into tunnels or the metro underground, these are horrifying and I loved it. A big surprise was some new mutants you meet in the Caspian sea level, they blend in well and they gave me a good freight because they where so unpredictable.

    The sound design and immersion in this game is amazing, the guns sound crunchy, the music is amazing, the footsteps always worked and with headphones it feels like you really are Artoym, this is the most immersive game for me in a very long time, even more than Red Dead Redemption 2 because this felt less tedious than that game. The crafting is simple, finding workbenches are easy and traversing through the map was also very easy.

    This game is a must play for all Metro fans, if this is where the series ended I would be happy because this ending was so satisfying especially if you got the good ending which unlike last light is very easy to get. I can't wait to see the direction they go for the fourth game (if it is created) and DLC for Exodus.    … Expand

Сама игра перенимает спорный и проблемный сюжет из книги. Непонятно к чему добавлена категорическая нехватка ресурсов, искажая восприятие и без того некомфортной игры в целом.… Expand

    Played on my fat ps4, was expecting a good game. Bad graphics, awful acting, uninteresting story and terrible mecanics, couldnt play for more than 1 hour :(

    Loved 1 & 2 but this is literally unplayable. It's clunkier than any game made should be. He slows down as soon as he even looks at a blade of grass, and the input lag is just horrid. Push r3 to run n it takes 3-5 seconds to kick in. Did the critics even play the same game? How has it got 80%??? What is going on?

    Having moved the action away from the dark tunnels of Moscow's underground onto a train, going into the unknown and forced to make stops throughout the journey, Metro Exodus' authors created a memorable interactive adventure consisting of happiness from discovering love and grief from irreplacebale loss, hope of better future and despair from understanding the truth. On top of that one might call Exodus a distorting mirror that reveals the most horrible sins of mysterious Russian soul: heresy and servilism.

    Overall, Metro Exodus is an enjoyable shooter. Taking Metro out of the Metro is a good move for the series, but the game still provides plenty of claustrophobic locations for those who enjoyed the dark tunnel crawls of Metro games past. The ammunition system is still limited, but it feels better managed and more forgiving this time out, although I can still see it as being frustrating to some players. If you haven't played a Metro game before or were put off by the games in the past, give Metro Exodus a chance. You can catch this train running and enjoy the ride.
