    Posiblemente es la mejor jugabilidad que existe en un videojuego hasta la fecha, me parece simplemente sobresaliente, sinceramente no me canso de jugarlo, el control del personaje esta muy cuidado y se hace muy entretenido teniendo en cuenta que es un juego muy repetitivo y por ultimo el apartado técnico es sublime.

    Este juego tiene sus pros y sus contras, está lejos de ser obra maestra pero tambien esta lejos de ser una mier*$ de juego, de hecho es un juego muy bueno, de lo mejores AAA de la época pq en cuanto a aspecto técnico es una jodida maravilla, la mano de kojima se nota en todo, pero neta en todo, si esto no fuera MG seria un juego casi mediocre pq siento que Kojima logra poner ese estilo que siempre hace aunque aquí tambien falla en cosas y no se si sea su culpa o de Konami, y dudo de Kojima pq desde el 4 se llegaba a notar un poco de mediocridad, si el 4 no fuera fan service la verdad no se si me gustaría mucho.
    El gameplay también tiene sus pros y sus contra, el control es una maravilla, sin duda es el mejor que ha hecho, si le sacas mucho jugo puedes hacer cosas maravillosas y llega a ser muy divertido, gracias a dios, pq este juego tiene un tipo de misiones que da muuuucha hueva, y esa es una de sus fallas, cayó en la fiebre del mundo abierto del momento, muy pero muy repetitivo y vació, la verdad es muy ubisoft si se siente como un MG FARCRY, entiendo que esto en la época gustaba pero hoy en día cansa, también el menú es algo incomodo, y eso se relaciona con la historia, la manera de hacer misiones me decepcionó mucho, y no estoy en contra de las historias episódicas, pero aquí la neta no agrada tanto y también mancha mucho la historia la cual también falla mucho, MG es una saga que es sinónimo de calidad en cuanto a argumento, de hecho es la saga con unas de las mejores historias y momentos de los videojuegos, pero esta también falla mucho y esta muy incompleta, maldito Konami, personajes olvidables, villanos mediocres, incongruencias con otros juegos, misiones repetitivas, no es una mie#$ de historia pero si que es la peor de la saga, aparte también peca de fumadas, desde el 4 y este ( y tengo entendido que con Death Stranding también) se saca una japonesas que se les ocurrió con 5 porros encima, pero bueno mínimo el final me gustó mucho.

    Pero bueno, no es mal juego aunque si me da coraje por lo que pudo ser, nos perdimos de otro gran titulo de esta saga pq la verdad este juego era para más, me considero hater #1 de Konami.    … Expand

    I have to start praising the incredible optimization of this game with extremely beautiful graphics, which runs on machines and consoles that just by looking at it, one is surprised to see that it runs on lighter devices. The script is great, especially the voice team and the game's memorable characters.

    Its honestly pretty good!! I dont like some of the missions and the gameplay is kinda confusing. But the story and game in general is great and I am thankful for Hideo Kojima for creating the Metal Gear franchise!

    This game is pure immersive sim. Anything you want to approach, can be approached in almost infinite possibilities. I absolutely adored this game, from its side content, to the main story. Everything feels amazing to control aswell, and the game doesn't fail to succeed at base-building either. As base-building can sometimes be considered tedious, it feels like you are the (as implied) bigThis game is pure immersive sim.     loved this game. the gameplay of mgs5 is smooth and responsive. the stealth is a bit hard but when you complete it you feel rewarded. the story of this game is lackluster though

    Good story with a good plot twist at the end.
    Graphics look better than some games released today.
    Some of the best third person gameplay ever.
    Tons of weapon and tool variety giving the player lots of different ways of approaching a mission.
    Cinematography is 11/10
    I wish we got that "mission 51" to probably conclude the story

    MGS V is great, but it isn't classic Metal Gear. It's more like a Tom Clancy open-world game. On the plus side, "Phantom" is packed with content. It has amazing graphics and a good story. But the TV episodic structure doesn't work. Also Kiefer Sutherland is more Jack Bauer than Big Boss. Kojima made a big mistake replacing David Hayter.     I've never been that big a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series - I found the controls clumsy, the one-false-move-and-you're-dead trial and error formula exasperating and seemed to spend more time watching the games than actually playing them. Some of the 10 point reviews may be "sponsored" too – but in case of MGS V 10 points are fully justified from an objective point of view. Simple as that. A modern classic as for me.

Now it's Furtividade Explosiva (Explosive Stealth in portuguese) because the game is about stealth but I always sucked at it and would end up getting found out and blowing everything up after an hour or two of dying, LOL! But the unanswered question is: How did Quiet, who was sent to kill the Boss twice, suddenly fall inThis game affected me so much that I had to change my channel name.     Flawed masterpiece. This is as good as it gets when it comes to stealth gameplay, some really cool ideas and huge scope of the game, but it does feel unfinished. I guess Kojima had too big ambitions on this one.

    I really enjoyed this game. This was my first entry in the Metal Gear universe and I was in love with it. The open world worked fine for me, the story is very well written and the mission design is just amazing. I loved every single time that I had to prepare myself to go to the open world according to the mission that I was going to do, taking different equipments and    9/10

    Very good game full of weapons, enjoyable looting system, buddies are great, missions are fun to play and you can easily spend more than 100 hours in this game. I strongly recommend it!

    I have so many contradictions with this game. For one side is one of the best gameplay that i have ever played in a 3rd person shooter game in my life. The story has ups and downs but its cinematics are incredible and the scenes are incredible(Thanks Kojima). But at the same time, the structure of the game is so strange for a Metal Gear game. Is an open world that should have been a linearI have so many contradictions with this game. For one side is one of the best gameplay that i have ever played in a 3rd person shooter game in my life.     But the story should've had a little more cutscenes. That is about it. For now i'm still in the middle of playing it so I will see if my opinion will change. But if not this review will stay the same.

This was the game that got me into the metal gear solid series, and might get anyoneIf you love stealth games, this may be your favorite game. The core stealth gameplay consists of a large number of moves and gadgets that allow for experimentation and freedom of gameplay. This was the game that got me into the metal gear solid series, and might get anyone else into the series as well after playing this.     Amazing game. Awful story. It story feels rushed. Very **** disappointed the final act is missing. The way Konami treated kojima was horrible **** Konami. But this game deserves game of the year and is one of my favourite games over the last decade. Not the Metal Gear Solid send off I was hoping for tho.

    This game is really great and kept me into the story. Sadly the story is not complete but for what it has it is quite the journey. It is unfortunate that the game could of been even better for Hideo's final Metal Gear game but, that would of just made fans' motivation to tie him down to it even more vicious.

    For a little background, Metal Gear as a franchise is a stealth game where you play as different special operatives all with the codename "Snake", with a mission to infiltrate some location and destroy some superweapon that is called "Metal Gears". From this basic premise though, series creator Hideo Kojima, despite his many Hollywood troops and gratuitous scene selections still manages to tell a compelling anti-war narrative in which a player has the choice to either slaughter his way through a base, or spare all of their foes. Motivated by the writer's desire for the player to understand the consequences of nuclear war and its horrors, which the Metal Gears are analogous to in the plot.
    What is most interesting to me about this game is how much it contrasts many of the other game franchises with similar demographics. Games such as GTA, Far Cry, Just Cause, and others allow the player to fulfill a fantasy of being a Hollywood action hero that gets to destroy buildings, commit gratuitous acts of violence, kill NPCs for no reason, and it all be framing you to be this "badass" (For lack of a better term). Whereas this game takes the same Mature rating that all of these games have and makes the arrogant kid who picks it up because he wants to play something fun sit with the consequences of his actions as the Narrative reminds you of your "sins" (A term the game uses throughout its dialog and is the central theme of one of its soundtrack pieces literally called "Sins of the Father"). It is admirable how well the writer understands and wishes to subvert his audience. Furthermore, the game incentivizes pacifism over gratuitous violence while also making it far more difficult. If you go through a mission without a single kill or the enemies never detected you at all (avoiding any confrontation at all), you get an S score, and the characters of the game congratulate you on a job well done, whereas those same characters will talk negatively if you score any less. I think this helps to add dignity to the human persons in the stories, even if they are just expressionless grunts. Overall, the gameplay alone is so good, that regardless of how bad you feel playing through the story, you need to play more of it. Almost as if the game is the drug that keeps you hooked so the writer can prove his point.
    On to the Narrative review. The story is, on the surface, a simple revenge quest. You are the leader of a mercenary company, and your base is destroyed by a mysterious rogue operative, and it is your job to avenge your comrades and get revenge on this mysterious man. So, you travel from warzone to warzone, witnessing the horrors of war (and for some players who elect to, participate in them), in search of this mysterious man. The game is incredibly well-researched. Since it takes place in 1984, the game brings light to actual conflicts that occurred, in particular, The Soviet-Afghan War and the conflict in Angola-Zaire. Using a bit of parody, it shows the inner workings of the "War Economy" and the military-industrial complex as you see how these nations interact with certain mercenary corps and how the powers of the world promote this. But most compelling with the story is the aftermath after you achieve the revenge central to the Narrative, you receive the thematic thesis that the main character has. All of your allies feel completely distraught after losing their reason for being (The aforementioned revenge), but your character explains that he wishes to turn his mercenary corps into a nation of soldiers with nothing left to fight for. He understands that revenge would never fulfill him, only by building something greater than himself can he cope with the tragedy of all that he has done and all that he has lost. This is a very unique approach for a game’s revenge quest, especially compared to something like Just Cause 3.    … Expand

The freedom you have in approaching missions is unparalleled, and it makes you want to go through every mission a million times just to see how many ways you can complete it.     It was a hard decision choosing between giving this game a 9 or a 10. To me personally, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is THE PERFECT game. I can't name any other game where I had more fun and spent more hours on. Since launch, I still put in a couple of hours every other day at the very least. This timeless masterpiece will forever remain in my heart as the greatest game of allIt was a hard decision choosing between giving this game a 9 or a 10.     Now that my bias is out of the way, here is my raw, unfiltered review of this game. Metal Gear is such an amazing franchise, and a true inspiration to the gaming industry. To those who grew up playing all of the previous Metal Gear games, fans alike will all agree that this final installment of the Metal Gear series has the weakest story to date. Metal Gear has always been pretty vague when it comes to canonical fact or fiction. There is so much randomness, chaos, comedy, and tragedy when it comes to Metal Gear. It really exercises the player's imagination, and just putting together all of the pieces of story content is a challenge on its own.

    That being said, The Phantom Pain still has so much to offer. It is such a shame that Fox Engine has been put to waste, considering the incredible graphics that still hold up to today's standards (in 2022). The gameplay may seem complex to newcomers at first, but players will soon come to realize its intuitiveness. The actors all did a great job when it came to playing their respective characters. Personally, Kiefer Sutherland as "Big Boss" was a welcoming surprise, despite a lot of fans being disappointed in David Hayter not returning. The music is top notch, as per usual when it comes to Metal Gear games.

    Although Metal Gear will most likely not be making a return to the gaming industry, I'm still grateful to Kojima for giving us fans these incredible games. Metal Gear Solid V will forever be my favorite game of all time.    … Expand

    Amazing game. The gameplay is unique and addictive while the story stays compelling throughout the game. The only complaint that I would have is that the game is way too short. I was 30 missions deep into the main missions and when i looked it up the total amount of missions were 31. It was pretty funny realizing that I was at the end of the game because I really didn't know if that wasAmazing game.     I got this game because I hugely enjoyed the previous entry (which was more of a preview) and acquired the taste. As a long time gamer, MGS5 will turn out much much much much more than you would expect and what you're to experience here can only be described as epic.

    Easily the best action game I have ever played. This world is so rich and missions have so many variations, I could play it for a month at least. MGS5 truly deserves the high rating it has.

    Hideo Kojima outdid himself with this one. A perfect game!!!

    Can't wait for his next. I am now a big fan.

    What I hated, It's fun. Why is that bad? Because I killed allot of people and not only did I have fun, I kidnaped some of them and then realized the war economy works the same way in real life.

    What I loved, everything from the scenery to the mission is taken into gameplay. The characters are well designed and every gun has it's unique feel and the story is all kinds of bonkers. Best part of this game is that you don't need to play the previous games at all to understand anything being said.

    I just didn't think the grate Hideo Kojima had it in him to create another golden egg. Go in knowing as little as possible and get sucked in the the wonderful world of Metal Gear Solid! - 9 out of 10    … Expand

    MGS 5 lacks severely in story, which was difficult for me because I loved the MGS series as a kid. But then again, this is Metal Gear Solid. The story is so goofy and incomprehensible that people have to explain in 2 hour videos online how the games even line up chronologically. Other than the story, the only other bad aspect I see in this game is the fact that it was released unfinished,MGS 5 lacks severely in story, which was difficult for me because I loved the MGS series as a kid.     Beautiful ending to a legendary series, and the perfect sequel to Peace Walker. Hideo manages to do the unthinkable and actually pulls off a real love story in the Metal Gear universe. This game has some of the best cutscenes in the entire series without all the bloated backstory exposition and decadent 15 minute monologues. This is stealth gameplay at its best.

    One of my favourite titles of all time, even after some time since it’s first publishing, it sits amongst the most accurate tactical and espionage action shooters, the details in this gem are the real deal.

    Crazy good characters, both the voice acting and action scenes, the immagination and detailing in these are at movie levels.
    I hope Kojima sorts things out, as I would really love to see more titles of this phenomenal series, but only time will tell.

    I'm so sad to say this but mgs5 had potential of being a masterpiece and they wasted it. I don't think we've ever seen such good enemy AI before. Mgs5 is a brilliant stealth game, but is also an excellent action-adventure game and its mechanics are pretty good. If only the story was complete...

    This is the first metal gear solid game I’ve played and I absolutely love it, I hope the previous games get a remake or remaster so I can see how it all began.

    This is some good stuff, the gameplay is just incredible and the story is good too... but the gameplay mmmmm the best, ya gotta play this (I like the cassette thing too cuz you can listen to the final countdown in the game while doing a mission)

    Совет тем, кто играет в первый раз, сначала сюжетка и только по необходимости гринд. Не стоит от неё отвлекаться.

    Конечно же увольнение Кодзимы...
    Вырезанная последняя глава... Из-за чего игра как-будто обрывается на полуслове.
    На старте я и куча народа, независимо от платформы, не могли поиграть в онлайн. Их кормили странной ошибкой. Хз как это решилось, но щас в онлайн пускает...Тока там никого нет уже...    … Expand

This game is a PS4 masterpiece, the best in the series in terms of gameplay/mechanics, genius diversity of controls and choices, the base building and recruting is complicated and fun, which gives the multiplayer the meaning it needs, the intro is the best I’ve ever seen in a video game, the smart/shocking plot twost ending makes you relise the greatness of this game and it’s plot, the characters, bossfights, soundtrack were all badass and great, not to mention the cassette dialog, long but never bored of it

    It is such a pity that the last few missions are just harder versions of the former ones. And the online features seem quite annoying to me. If there were no drawbacks above, it would have been a perfect game.

    A mission by mission structure where you choose your loadout before each mission but unlike Peace Walker, for a cost, you can change your loadout mid-mission via supply drops by individually selecting an item or by calling in a pre-made loadout. Great for switching play styles without wasting too much time.
    The gameplay is great from the stealth aspects to the gunplay. I personally didn't use the reflex mode but it is a good addition to the game as it preserves the flow of sneaking through the large areas. I found it to take away some of the challange and if you're quick enough (or lucky) you don't need it ;)
    The difficulty is where it should be. Not a hard game but can get the better of you if you're complacent.

    As a story, for what little it has, it's just kinda meh.

    The game has one of the best openings as a long narrative sequence escaping a hospital thats being attacked by people that want you dead.
    But if you like this style of game then too bad! Go spend 30-50 hrs doing run around missions until the game feels like exposition dumping the rest of the narrative to you.
    Granted the missions aren't bad to play. But not even half of them need to exist as they have no real purpose in the story other then building up Diamond Dogs and "bringing the legand back to life". In other words: get money, kidnap solders, waste time (especially the repeat missions).    … Expand

    This may be my entry to the Metal Gear franchise but it's one of my favorite game from the last generation. I can say it has a lot to do with Moby Dick book since i was reading prior playing this. I really immersed into the story.

    one of the best games i have ever played, i thought the story was great, the gameplay was awesome, the only flaw i saw was the lifeless open world , big open world yet not much to do but repetitive boring side missions. but the main story makes up for it

    This game is the best stealth game i have ever seen.gameplay is very extensive and i enjoyed it.story is good but not like the other game of the series.side_ops are repetitive and the whole map looks the same.
    At the end game is very ggoe and i recomend it.

    Metal Gear Solid V will be considered as a timeless masterpiece the uniqueness, creativity and smoothness of the gameplay is something I've never seen before in a video game. One of the best games I've ever played.

    The holy grail of world-building games, it’s argued, is a black box that lets players do as they like with minimal handholding. Pliability with just the right measure of accountability. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a tactical stealth simulation wrapped in a colossal resource management puzzle inside a love letter to theatrical inscrutability, comes the closest of any game I’ve yet played to realizing that ideal.

    There’s no denying the Game of the Year potential of The Phantom Pain. The campaign is absolutely massive, it’s almost too much to cope. That being said, Chapter II is a huge let-down and feels like artificial padding. Still, this is about as good as tactical espionage operations can get in a video game. [Oct 2015]
