    Megalith is a run-of-the-mill MOBA that, despite its VR novelty, does nothing to distinguish itself. It’s cool to be placed in the shoes of larger-than-life titans, but the game’s single mode is middling at best. There’s still enjoyment to be had with its varied albeit limited cast of characters, but better MOBA’s have had difficulties maintaining a consistent player base mere months after release. If you add the VR requirement to that unfortunate fact, you’ll be hard-pressed to have the opportunity to play Megalith with someone in a month or two, but that’s assuming you’d even want to.

    Interesting game. Ever since I got VR I have been pretty skeptical. Most VR games aren't great IMO and feel like watered down versions ofInteresting game. I had never heard of megalith until a friend who played the beta told me about how great it was.

    When i first started playing it was a bit rough, as there is not tutorial beyond some tips before matches. But after having been out only a week, I've already spent more time playing megalith than any other VR game. Given they only have 1 map that even surprised me. Their hero abilities are amazing and learning how to master each has kept me coming back. They do have bots, but they are replaced with real players mid match.

    I also played quite a bit of Firewall.. and although I enjoyed that just seemed like not great version of R6 siege as the shooting feels terrible imo. Also firewall matching TAKES FOREVER and if the host drops the whole match ends...Megalith suffers from none of theses problems and matches start in under a minute every time. Given waiting around doing nothing with a VR headset strapped your face is not great, i appreciate that very much. Also given the populations of online VR is still light, i like I can always find a game as bots fill up empty slots. Also the bots in Megalith are far more interesting than in Firewall where they just zerg the objective.

    Although Megalith needs more attention: more customization options and more maps. At its core, its the most compelling thing i have tried in VR and one of the few games that gives me hope VR has a real future.    … Full Review »

    The amount of content, both implemented and planned is incredibly low, and the price tag has made it so that if you aren't on the discord server for it, your 'PvP' matches will contain at least 1 bot more than 50% of the time, regardless of time of day. If that bot is on your team instead of the enemy team, you just lost the game.

    There is also the lack of any real kind of tutorial, forcing people to go to a website if they want to learn about a game where tooltips could have taken care of it.    … Full Review »

    Megalith is a very ambitious hero shooter/Brawler type game that shoots to bring you a title somewhat akin to the likes of overwatch orMegalith is a very ambitious hero shooter/Brawler type game that shoots to bring you a title somewhat akin to the likes of overwatch or battleborn but in VR, however Megalith at its core is a MOBA. You will be playing as a Titan style hero on a dual lane map that has multiple sets of towers you must fight and push your way through with minions that get auto deployed all game long and with them you must push to your enemies core and destroy it.

    The game is currently 2v2 with 1 map and 6 titans at full launch and another titan has just been announced recently and a 3v3 mode has been hinted at as well, the developers have also promised to continually support the game post launch with new balance changes, maps, and titans.

    The 30$ price tag may seem steep for some onlookers, but I can assure you this is a beautiful game with stunning VR visuals, graphics, and sound. The PS move support is some of the best I have seen on a PSVR game, tracking is flawless, the direct movement and turning is simple and easy to use while aiming feels natural as if you were holding a gun in real life when using your move.

    However you can also use the DS4 if you are not a fan of the Sony PS moves for whatever reason, The DS4 will allow you to move freely with a joystick and you will still be able to aim well with the use of the light bar tracking. There is no AIM support currently but the developers have stated it could be a possibility in the future as well as a few other things like a port for PCVR with cross play between PSVR and PCVR as well as game modes with more players.

    Surprisingly for a VR game the player base has been active through the free beta and even now in the full launch the game continues to see growth as matches with other players are easy to find, one of my personal favorite features is the use of a bot fill system where instead of waiting in a boring stagnant lobby for several minutes for players to join in (like in FWZH) here in Megalith you can actually start playing with bots in a live match until other online players have arrived.

    The game does feel some what like a paid early access moba like how epic games Paragon was, but I can't help but feel this game has a bright future ahead of it from what I have seen so far. I'm going to give this game a solid 9/10 with room to grow once more content has been added. A game like this could end up being the very first PSVR E-Sport if the community and developers are there for it.    … Full Review »
