Jail - a living prison for humans, buried 666 meters underground.

A group of prisoners, Jack and the Blood Maidens, were reincarnations of fairy tales who dared to escape. They climbed from the bottom of the tower up to the surface, filled with hope...

But outside were thousands of corpses soaking in a sea of blood. There stood beings known as Massacre Pink, smiling.

In that moment, hope was destroyed.

Separated, they are each drawn to the devouring Jail that floats in the sky...

This is the finale to the tale of the Blood Maidens.

If you enjoyed the previous entries then you'll absolutely love Mary Skelter Finale. It's so jam-packed with content, cleverly designed scenarios, and incredible characters that you'll find it hard to put down even after hours of bloody good dungeon crawling.

Mary Skelter Finale is a worthy conclusion to this turbulent saga of struggles against seemingly impossible to overcome odds. The cast is spread apart and segmented but undoubtedly bound together by the simultaneously cruel yet compassionate whims of fate. The gameplay is arguably at its height in this entry. The returning systems are satisfyingly addicting with the inclusion of the Zapping mechanic and standout character interactions. Even when accounting for the poorly paced main narrative and over-indulgent dungeon design, this is absolutely a finale worth experiencing in all of its unabashed, climatic glory.

As a dungeon crawler, the mechanics are fantastic. What I can add is I had not played the previous entries and still had a good time. I skimmed the "Before Story" content included in the game to catch up on what I missed. That was good enough. Between that and the opening scenes, it was a really slow start and I wondered if I was ever going to be able to explore and battle. Fortunately, once you get into the meat of the game, the pace is much better.

The fan service didn't really add or detract from the overall experience. It's there for those that want it, but with all the dungeon crawling and random battles, easy to ignore and enjoy a very cool game. I also enjoyed the soundtrack. Lots of good things to say. Not much to complain about. If you've ever even mildly enjoyed a first person turn based combat dungeon crawler Wizardry style game, check this one out. I was not sure about it at first, but ended up being a cool experience.
