Overall, I’m very impressed with the product Insomniac released, and it raises my expectations for what other companies are willing to put out with their names attached. While I have issues with some of the beats in the final chapter, I have zero qualms recommending it for anyone who enjoyed the main game. And for those that didn’t, well, they just don’t like fun anyway.

The Silver Lining is about as good as DLC #1, and it’s worth the three hours or so it takes to play through. With the recent price drop on Marvel’s Spider-Man, it’s a good time to pick up the game and the content if you haven’t already, as this was certainly one of 2018’s finest. The DLC did a fine job overall adding worthwhile game-extending content. Clearly, the future for Spider-Man videogames has never been brighter.

It felt shorter than the past episodes, but also satisfying to see this story arc come to an end. The surprise cameo was much appreciated, but I think we all knew that character wasn't really dead.

Silver Lining is a great finale to the Spider-Man DLC thanks to the story. It's funny and action-packed that's all the better thanks to the great gameplay the game is known for. Some side quests are repetitive, but the ones that aren't make up for it.

Silver Lining didn’t surprise me much but it was a fun enough time overall.

Silver Lining ends The City That Never Sleeps with grace but its grander ambitions make it more than yet another Spider-Man chapter.

A satisfying end to a three-part story that had a couple swings and misses.

The best of the three DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man and a very satisfactory ending for The City that Never Sleeps.

A good ending to this line of DLCs despite not including many new things, especially because of its nice narrative.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Silver Lining wraps up a story and plants seeds for a possible sequel. These are important points since this episode doesn't introduce new mechanics beyond giving you some meaningful content if you've already finished the main campaign. In the end, it's good enough to keep you entertained if you need more web-crawling action.

Much like its predecessors Silver Lining is over in an hour with a slight extension offered for sidequests, and three more suits. Then bam, there's a proper Stan Lee dedication, credits roll, and the wait begins. Hopefully Spider-Man 2 builds on top of everything we've seen so far, including the DLC trilogy.

DLC3 was a decent comeback after DLC2 was a let down for me. At the end I felt it was somewhat on par with DLC1. The special records addedDLC3 was a decent comeback after DLC2 was a let down for me. At the end I felt it was somewhat on par with DLC1. The special records added some nice stuff to do with some lore at the end of the road and Silver Sable is a really cool character in my opinion.

Why is it a 8/10? Pretty easy. The formula is kinda worn out to be totally honest in regards to gameplay. I did not dig the "we put in more and more enemies, couple them and increase the numbers" at every DLC... that was somewhat disappointing. I found that the strongholds were again very stressful but not as bad as in DLC2. I did not bother at all with Screwball because its my personal nightmare.

My resumee would be that it is really hard to keep the pace and expectations up along the DLCs and I might be stepping back from further DLCs although the storylines were really good especially in DLC1 and 3. I m not a fan of putting in more and more stuff and making the gameplay more complicated because the smoothness is what I really loved in the main game. For fans the Silver Lining DLC is definetely not a bad grab. For me there are still some loose ends in terms of the story. Probably intended, not sure. On the bottom line I also think they should not have introduced Miles as sub-spidey but maybe another title will be more coop-based and that would give a natural fit-in. Felt a little off-Spider-Man.
