    - After playing Astro's playroom, I thought the Haptic feedback could have been better. It's good, but , it could have been better. There is a lot of unused potential.
    - Insomniac Games could have done better with the story content and boss fights. I mean, come on, look at Sunset Overdrive. Insomniac Games delivered such good content, witty dialogues, amazing boss fight settings and now look at Spiderman, it feels like the teenager in Insomniac Games has grown up to an adult who works at a Wall Street firm!

Overall, it's good game but Insomniac Games have delivered better games in the past and I do see a lot of improvement areas.

Graphically, this game looks even better than MARVEL's Spider-Man. The winter aesthetic to New York looks authentic and well done.

At first, I have to admit, I was mad at the combat. It felt very much like the timing and strength of Spider-Man was off. Then I realized, a bit slower than I would have liked, that this was purposeful. Miles Morales isn't as good yet at kicking ass as Peter Parker is. In the first game, Peter is a seasoned Spider-Man who has perfected his style of combat. Miles however, is still throwing generic hooks and body kicks, and is less coordinated with his style. He hasn't found himself yet, and telling that part of Miles' story through a slightly more frustrating combat experience was a bold move by Insomniac. It also forces you to rely on Miles' deeper pool of powers, allowing you more options in combat that I felt weren't super necessary, but were a fun and polished addition.

The plot and writing here left a lot to be desired. Nearly every person important to the plot had a close personal relationship with the protagonist, allowing for most big plot beats to be covered completely by coincidences.
Dialogue between characters was okay in most places, and really cringe-y during intense or dramatic scenes.
The message the game is trying to send with the story is a good one, but it's encumbered by poor direction.

The music for SM:MM is very different from its predecessor, but still very good. Upbeat, complimentary to the main character, and high quality.

Overall, this game didn't feel like a true sequel. The plot was rushed and poorly directed, the writing wasn't on par with the first game, and the campaign length felt much shorter as well. It's fun, but not a good sequel.

It's still super fun swinging around the city and I love the new animations. The venom powers are fun to use. Overall feels like a worthy side game a la Uncharted: Lost Legacy and like that game, Troy Baker steals the show.
Which brings me to the weak point: the story isn't very good. It's pretty generic and feels rushed. It's essentially an excuse to get to the set pieces which would be fine, but i's such a step down from the original. The character acting is fine (again Troy Baker being the highlight), but mostly unmemorable. How the main villain becomes so much more powerful that Spiderman is unclear. There's a mission where you have to sneak into your own science exhibit because...? Stuff like that that you can tell wasn't given much time and care. Although I like that it's shorter (but not short), I feel that given more time in a full game they could have done more.
Then there's the completely unnecessary, incredibly divisive political message they felt obligated to force in. It has no bearing on the story whatsoever and, in fact, should be deeply offensive to Miles considering his back story. It's just a spry painted mural as a "reward" for finishing side missions which could have easily (and more logically) been replaced by a mural of Spiderman. They would not need to change one line of dialogue or one other frame of animation. It doesn't spoil the game since it has no significance. So why was it there at all?
Anyway, other than that it is a great holdover until the next proper Spiderman title comes out. And literally the best costume ever is unlocked after the main story.

Despite not providing notable news, and being a continuation game with respect to the first installment, something not at all negative due to its excellent formula, no lover of the Spider-Man universe should miss the opportunity to get hold of it.

There is still a 2021 full of great titles for PS4. But it is a good way to start saying goodbye to the system, and / or to welcome the PlayStation 5.

Miles Morales should not be seen only as a small advance to what awaits us in the new generation. It should serve as an aperitif, a good dose of adrenaline, on which Insomniac Games can become capable of in charge of the authentic second part. This time exclusively on PS5.

Even worse with chasing - I could complete Rhino chase only after I enabled chase assistance, because by time you try to aim and perform a jump with L1+L2 your target is already escaped - there isn't even 1-2 sec for you to aim and jump. Combat include dozens of combos with special key patterns, but because the game is incredibly short (I say it again - incredibly short), by the time you remember and know how to use those, its finished already.
It seems that Sony believes they can sell anything for 60 - last of us 2 has many hours gameplay and costs 60, Spiderman has only few hours gameplay (not even 10) and also sells for 60. Next time release a 10 minute game or a demo and put a 60 tag, because why not, as long there are people who pays. Pathetic.

While the game is okay, it pales in comparison to it predecessor. I would only recommend this to someone who has played the original Spiderman ps4 game, and misses the gameplay mechanics, because there's not much else there. The story is short, predictable and uninspired. It try's to recreate the formula of the first game but just doesn't capture it. Meh, at best.

There's a little too much of recharging generators, but the main story is wonderfully done and the friendly neighborhood side stories had more personality than the first game's. They did a great job making Miles play differently than Peter, to the point where I have more fun playing as Miles. The electricity packs an extra punch, and while he has less gadgets at his disposal, they all felt useful and made the combat play out much quicker.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of famous Spider-Man villains, they recycle Rhino more times than I'd like, and Simon Krieger is very bland, though he mostly exists as a catalyst for elevating Proweler and Tinkerer, who both shine really nicely. The narrative also makes up for it by highlighting Miles's family and friends. The scenes outside the suit were actually very engaging, and a definite improvement compared to lab sessions with Dr. Octavious and stealth missions with Mary Jane.

I understand if people feel there isn't enough to do in this one, but I felt like it offered just enough for me to never be bored with it. And at $50, I would say it's a fantastic deal. It also looks incredible even on a PS4 Pro. It was very considerate to make the game just as playable on older consoles, and leaves me excited to someday replay this with the higher resolution and raytracing.

I don’t care what anyone says… Miles morales is a 6 hour long expansion to 2018’s spiderman, theres nothing wrong with that.. but that’s what it is and feels as such.. more of the same, though this time you play through the very rushed story of Miles Morales, who is left with New York city in his hands to take care of while the og spiderman goes to hangout with his boo. Obviously there are tons of collectables and pretty okay sidequests to do around this 6 hour long story, but since it feels like more of the same.. I didn’t care too much to do what felt like, heres more content patched into that game you really loved 2 years ago… though to mix things up, miles morales feels more like batman mixed with spiderman, and I love that, my favorite moments of the arkham games is lurking in the shadows and just snatching fools up, and its just as satisfying here to clear a room without engaging in combat.. and I was mostly pushed towards that because sadly the combat just isn’t satisfying here, don’t get me wrong, it stylish and flashing, you feel like a true hero when you pull off perfect combos, and you alredy know the swagger is exaggerated, but the enemies feel like sponges stopping miles mroales from feeling as satisfying as it could.. which again kept me away from doing too much side activites, im either going to be suffering through the spongey combat, or im going to be doing some dragged out puzzle of connecting electricity with my web…
Miles Morales is definitely a great game, with great characters, its beautiful, the music is amazing, and it tells a really touching story, but this is really just a really well put together expansion… no matter what anyone says.
but with that being said, it’s a great expansion to an amazing game, one with mechanics that feel smooth, the most fun open world outside of an assassins creed game
And with its own platinfum trophy and the $20 discount, I guess that’s okay.
    I give Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

This game is further proof Insomniac knows exactly what they are doing with our precious Spider-Man characters and Miles' story up to this point is amazing and well written and although this story is short it feels right, as Miles is not a fully defined Spider-Man yet, he's just getting started, so I feel it does a successful job at setting the foundation for a greater Miles story to be told in the future.

However, the reason this game isn't a 10 to me is due to the fact that the story beats can become slightly predictable at times in terms of the antagonist and their motivations but this does not take away from the enjoyment, just the impact.

All in all don't wait for PS5 if you are eager to play this game it is a very good experience on the PS5 and you get the game for free on PS5 anyways. Although It doesn't beat the first game in terms of story, Spider-Man Miles Morales is incredible entry into this slowly forming, Spiderman Gaming Universe.

2The game is pretty short however after all the game was made only for 1 and a half years.
3The plot has some holes and it is Too super heroic. I mean you need to balance realism and heroism. In 1st spider man there was nothing over heroic which is impossible.
4 It needed to slow down in cuteness and dialogues . The cutscenes and dialogues go really fast ,which make them look unrealistic
    adventages
1 Best gameplay ever. The web swinging is upgraded and you can make special moves when you swing or fall

Its really short and beautiful game! Really nice graphics and mechanics. I think everything what was great in Marvel's Spider-Man is better in this game. Albo, great side quests. And one more thing. I remember how hard it was to wait with main storyline when playing, to make this game longer.

I don't mind that this game is short. Much prefer it more than the first game. The first game with the same old side activities in each district like 5 crimes in each, fisk construction sites, etc made the game too drawn out and repetitive. I like that they cut down on the suit gadgets and what not cause I didn't even use most of them in the first game

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is overall a more concise and robust game than Spider-Man (2018). The shorter story makes for a more gripping narrative that doesn't overstay its welcome. Mechanically everything has been built upon or improved from the original game. Traversing the city feels faster and more fluid, and combat has a more brutal edge to it thanks to Miles' venom powers.

Some positive absences from the first game include the Mary-Jane missions (which were narratively cogent but brought the pacing of the game to a crawl), as well as the pointless laundry list of side chores, which has been cropped down to a more manageable number of more engrossing side-missions.
This is a more succinct game without the padding of most modern titles. Even though you'll be spending a shorter time with the game, there is a much higher ratio of quality time.

The price for the content is pretty decent all things considered, but where the game truly shines is the story and gameplay.

The story follows Miles as Peter is tasked with going to Europe to help MJ with her work. This puts Miles in a dilemma causing him to be the only Spider-Man that New York has for a few weeks and Miles doesn’t feel like he is up to the task quite yet. During his time saving the city, Miles encounters not one, but two threats to the city he loves so much. Roxxon and the Underground are at war for power in the city and their war gets dirty causing civilian lives to be at risk. It is up to Miles to dismantle his opposition, the Tinkerer and save the city from fallout. Although the story is on the shorter side that doesn’t mean it isn’t worthwhile. The story is concise and straight to the point and the fact that Miles puts his city and family first gives the narrative that much more life. This story isn’t a copy and paste of the traditional Peter Parker story where it is all about finding oneself and coming to terms with the responsibilities you have, but rather loving something so much that you’d sacrifice anything and everything to be the shield for those who can’t protect themselves.

The gameplay is a major improvement over Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018). Miles’s move set is fun and stays fresh through the whole game. Whether you are using the various venom strike abilities or trying to stealth around a group of enemies while in camouflage the gameplay keeps you engaged for however long you plan on playing the game. It doesn’t reinvent what Spider-Man (2018) did, but rather fine tunes the gameplay system.

Overall Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a fun game, with a decent story, and a decent amount of content for the price. Whether you are getting it on the PS4 or the PS5 expect great visuals, sound, and performance. We are giving Spider-Man: Miles Morales an 8/10 and there is nothing exaggerated about our review.

Story wise and characters, just a tad too much teen drama. As much as I like Miles and think he carries the story, I did wish he would've been a bit less passive and let himself be a punching bag for a main and as good as sole villain that only hurts the game than uplifts it.

So while I enjoyed the game, I did think it had its flaws. And like others pointed out, the game is way too short, and Miles misses iconic villains thus we had to settlle for a lame at most mediocre villain. Hell Rhino who is a mediocre OG Spiderman villain with his 10m cameo is better than the Tinkerer throughout the whole game.

As Miles has new ability's to play around with such as Venom and Camouflage. The game also looks as good as Spider Man PS4 so, there is no need to fear if it looks downgraded compared to the power of the PS5, the story without spoilers is around 10 hours it may seem short to some, but there is barley no filler to be found in it all thought players may see similarity's compared to Spider-Man PS4's story. Side quests return with different mini-missions and they are not as bad as Spider-Man PS4's side quests and they give you a-lot of Activities Tokens for upgrades and purchasing new suits for Miles as there are 19 suits to be unlocked in throughout the game some maybe janky but others are stunning to look at. their is one issue I had with the game is that once you finish and free roam I have noticed the frames drop and stutter hard I am not sure why that is the case but watch out for that, as I hope the developers update the game and fix it. Even with the games short story there is much to do after completing the story just like Spider-Man PS4 did. for 50$ the game is fun to play once you gain Miles new ability's and the story is one to play at least once and you get a lot more after you finish the game. Such a great game! Even though it’s short, the graphics are great, the gameplay is fun and the story is great too!

it's a horrible game with no personality and peter parker's face is a mess has no expressiveness for everyone reading this review. I do not recommend that you buy this game, it is not worth the price, there are better things to spend the money on .. ...

The game is good but not nearly as good as the first in the series. Overall it's just not as polished. There are a ton of bugs, glitches and framerate issues that pop up far too often. It's more of the same but with less polish. (I'm guessing the B-team made this game while the main team works on the next main installment.)

The story had some good characters but I had the plot figured out after the first 30 minutes. (It was very predictable.) I do love the new powers that Miles gets. They really add a nice bit of flavor to the old combat.

It was fun overall but needed more time for polish and testing. (Review is for PS4 Pro version.)

Very disapointed with this game. Note that i gave previous Spider Man game by Insomniac 10/10 and this by Sony i give fat 0. The game is to short, 7-8 hours of gameplay, mostly you fight bad guys from previous game and instead of different bosses to fight you get Rhine, Rhino and more Rhino how boring. I don't have anything against black people. After that we have reboot of Peter which didn't go well. Majority by IGN poll still prefer old face over new, nearly 50% of the voters, and still Sony and James Stevenson say ''They are hatefull minority lol''. I hoped that new face will at least look older acording to age of Peter which is 23-4 YO, but no, he simply looks like kid, constantly smiling at everything like some creep. Best example is scene where DockOck shows his mechanical arms, old face Peter showed emotion of excitement and wory at the same time, new face acts all smiling and confused, without any expression or emotion, like whatever or what the hell am i doing here lol. My greatest regret is that i buyed OG Spider Man and PS4 last year, that i got attached to old face. I just refunded Miles Morales, cause its not worth price and time you have to play, only buy it if you're huge Spider Man game and on discount, it feels not like full game but more like DLC. Expand

more of the same from the first game, but with 2 new powers at your disposal, but this was definitely just done to give the PS5 that killer app to launch with, hopefully, insomniac will support this game as long as they did the original and that in the next game we can get some co-op action, and add the feature to play any song you want while swinging through the city,

This review will be for the PS4 version of this game, as I have not been able to try the PS5 version yet. Now that I have completed the game and put about 10 hours into it, I can safely say that this is an essential experience that ends too quickly.

If you played the original game, then Miles Morales will be more of the same for you. The gameplay is pretty much the same thing and the structure of the game is designed exactly the same as before. Thankfully, the combat does have enough new elements that keep it from feeling stale, such as the electric attacks and some skills that were not present in the original game. As for the story, it was done rather well and included plenty of likable heroes and villains, and it wrapped itself up in a very satisfying way. Miles ended up being an excellent protagonist, and the game's main villain consistently impressed me with how well they got me sympathize with them. Also, the story bosses are pretty cool, even if they aren't much of a departure from what was already done. Finally, the open world is nearly the same exact location it was in the original game, with the only difference being that this game takes place during the winter time in order to alter the appearance of world.

One of the biggest issues I had with the original game was its lackluster side content, as it amounted to nothing but a series of copy-pasted tasks that only existed to briefly distract from the main story. Unfortunately, this game does not fix this problem, as it side content is just as repetitive and forgettable as before, with only a few missions actually doing something interesting. This brings me to my biggest issue with this game: it is too thin for its price tag. This game may not be $60 (it's $50), but it still feels more like it should have been a $20-$30 expansion for the original game, as the story just doesn't do enough to justify it's price. I definitely felt like the story could have benefitted from being like 3-4 hours longer with more character development and more spectacles, as it would've made a pretty good story into a great one. But regardless, the content that this game does give you is a lot of fun and at no point did I ever feel like anything it did was particularly bad. At it's worst, the game just feels repetitive, which honestly is impressive compared to most other games.

Overall, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a really enjoyable follow-up to one of the PS4's best exclusives, but one that also ends too quickly. If you loved the original game, I would say this game is worth picking up right now, as it will give you the same level of excitement. But otherwise, I would wait for a sale, because it's hard to justify paying full price for this game if you didn't love the original game.

Morales’ New York is just as basic as before. There is nothing to do except complete the same missions, and the city cannot offer anything more except spectacular bird’s eye view panoramas.

Insomniac wanted to please Miles Morales fans with their latest Spider-Man adventure. The result is a damn near perfect action-adventure game.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales has a lot to say and it uses every available resource to communicate its messages and themes. Like Miles himself, it is earnest. Among other things, it depicts societal issues in an honest, digestible, and unabashed way. I said before that Spider-Man: Miles Morales establishes a new gold standard for superhero games but that’s not the only bar it’s moving. There are multiple bars set by Spider-Man: Miles Morales that developers should attempt to clear in future products.
