    I gave Peter's Spider-Man 9/10, and Miles' 8 because the story is just not as moving as Peter's. Miles is an interesting character but I understand that it's difficult to achieve Peter's chracter depth without giving off a similar vibe or longer story. Also $60 is worth it if you are a hard core Spider-Man fan or own a PS5 - otherwise don't bother until it's on discount.

    Miles Morales is not only an amazing game by itself, but it sets a good example for how to make a proper sequel. There is enough difference to make Miles Morales different from the original game, but kept enough of the elements that made it great. The character animations of Miles in particular are amazing, injecting a whole lot of needed personality into such a great character.     + They removed the boring mini games from the previous game and improved upon all the other aspects of the game that were lacking previously.
    + More engaging story
    + Better set pieces and fighting mechanics
    + Great choice of music

    - Short and not worth the 60$ price point

    If you have played the first title then you won't be surprised by the quality of game-play and presentation. Nothing has changed and that's far from a bad thing. The game-play is well rounded for beat em up action with a healthy does of difficulty. The visuals are stunning. The sound and music are exceptional, especially when you consider the licensed tracks that have been woven in. And the voice acting is second to none! So just more of the same right? Not really.

    The big reason for anyone to pick this up is to walk in the shoes (or swing with the webs) of Miles. With the added powers of electricity and invisibility, he plays just differently enough to create a new experience. The journey he takes in particular is a very different one to what we had seen with Peter. Where the last game was full of villains, characters, marvel easter eggs and just more content in general. Miles Morales really feels a little more intimate in regards to content and story. I really enjoyed seeing Miles grow throughout the story which centres around he's relationship with an old friend. Not to mention some of the big scale cinematic sections that are a blast to play!

    Yes, this might very well be a glorified standalone DLC. But for what you get and the quality, it released for the right price. It's a must for any Spidey fan or fans of the first game.    … Expand

    Miles evoluciona a lo largo del juego de un Spider-man novato, a un Spider-man que sabe lo que es ser un súperheroe, aunque se siente un tanto exagerado, ya que, al inicio del juego, sientes que realmente es un Spider-man novato y carece de sensación de libertad (cosa entendible) pero hacia el final del juego, lo sientes como se siente Peter Parker al inicio de la entrega anterior con sus 8 años como Spider-man. Es irreal que Miles alcance ese nivel de experiencia en tan solo unos días dentro del juego.

    El combate tiene su propia identidad. A pesar de que las habilidades de Miles no son indispensables para ganar los combates, se siente muy bien usarlas para poder eliminar grupos enemigos rápido, y sin tantas complicaciones, auqnue a veces pueden llegar a sentirse un tanto OP.

    La historia pudo ser mejor, como buscar una forma más por la que Peter no está presente en el crecimiento de Miles durante el juego, o tener un momento en el que realmente sientes que Miles no tiene ventaje frente a un oponente con poderes que sobrepasan a un Spider-man que apenas descrubre de qué es capaz.

    The definition of a game is an activity that is fun to play and this game delivers that at all levels with a heartfelt story which was better u than most movies that we watch today .

    Its really short and beautiful game! Really nice graphics and mechanics. I think everything what was great in Marvel's Spider-Man is better in this game. Albo, great side quests. And one more thing. I remember how hard it was to wait with main storyline when playing, to make this game longer.

    This game is further proof Insomniac knows exactly what they are doing with our precious Spider-Man characters and Miles' story up to this point is amazing and well written and although this story is short it feels right, as Miles is not a fully defined Spider-Man yet, he's just getting started, so I feel it does a successful job at setting the foundation for a greater Miles story to be told in the future.

    However, the reason this game isn't a 10 to me is due to the fact that the story beats can become slightly predictable at times in terms of the antagonist and their motivations but this does not take away from the enjoyment, just the impact.

    All in all don't wait for PS5 if you are eager to play this game it is a very good experience on the PS5 and you get the game for free on PS5 anyways. Although It doesn't beat the first game in terms of story, Spider-Man Miles Morales is incredible entry into this slowly forming, Spiderman Gaming Universe. Highly recommended, it is worth the £50/$50.    … Expand

    - Insomniac Games could have done better with the story content and boss fights. I mean, come on, look at Sunset Overdrive. Insomniac Games delivered such good content, witty dialogues, amazing boss fight settings and now look at Spiderman, it feels like the teenager in Insomniac Games has grown up to an adult who works at a Wall Street firm!

    I don't mind that this game is short. Much prefer it more than the first game. The first game with the same old side activities in each district like 5 crimes in each, fisk construction sites, etc made the game too drawn out and repetitive. I like that they cut down on the suit gadgets and what not cause I didn't even use most of them in the first game

    A genuinely good time; short, sweet, and to-the-point. There's not as much content total as the first game, but the 12-15 hours were consistently entertaining and rarely felt dull. There's a little too much of recharging generators, but the main story is wonderfully done and the friendly neighborhood side stories had more personality than the first game's. The electricity packs an extra punch, and while he has less gadgets at his disposal, they all felt useful and made the combat play out much quicker.

    My biggest disappointment is the lack of famous Spider-Man villains, they recycle Rhino more times than I'd like, and Simon Krieger is very bland, though he mostly exists as a catalyst for elevating Proweler and Tinkerer, who both shine really nicely. The narrative also makes up for it by highlighting Miles's family and friends. The scenes outside the suit were actually very engaging, and a definite improvement compared to lab sessions with Dr. Octavious and stealth missions with Mary Jane.

    I understand if people feel there isn't enough to do in this one, but I felt like it offered just enough for me to never be bored with it. And at $50, I would say it's a fantastic deal. It also looks incredible even on a PS4 Pro. It was very considerate to make the game just as playable on older consoles, and leaves me excited to someday replay this with the higher resolution and raytracing.    … Expand

    A Great game despite feeling like an extended DLC featuring Miles Morales. Keeps the core of what Marvel's Spider-Man did so well and adds Miles' personality and story. His venom powers offer a distinctive gameplay experience to Peter's. I would recommend but not a full price, unless you are a huge Spider-Man fan, due to the brevity of an otherwise quality gaming experience.

Other than that, the gameplay is amazing, although it's taken from the 1st game and the facial expressions weren't always perfect, in my opinion.     Great game, must play,. but felt lacking in content compared to the price. Worth buying on a sale, or if you are hugely into insomniac, the first game, or marvel comics/movies.

    Warum Peter Parker, wenn Miles Morales sogar noch cooler ist?

    Absolute Empfehlung für Fans des Hauptspiels und der freundlichen Spinne aus der Nachbarschaft.

    Auf der PS5 läuft es etwas besser, die PS4-Version braucht sich aber nicht verstecken.

The gameplay has been improved from the original game; it's more fun now, and they got rid of the unnecessary MJ/Miles stealth sequences. The only realGreat game, just as good (if not better) than the original Spider-Man game. The game is short but sweet, I beat it in about 3 days.     uno pensaría que el balanceo sería un copia y pega del juego anterior y sería prácticamente lo mismo, pero no es así, miles se mueve de una manera distinta a la de peter en el primer juego, además de tener muchas variantes de movimientos acrobáticos al balancearse, el combate es muy disfrutable ya que con las nuevas habilidades de veneno de miles son muy útiles para eliminar a los enemigosuno pensaría que el balanceo sería un copia y pega del juego anterior y sería prácticamente lo mismo, pero no es así, miles se mueve de una manera distinta a la de peter en el primer juego, además de tener muchas variantes de movimientos acrobáticos al balancearse, el combate es muy disfrutable ya que con las nuevas habilidades de veneno de miles son muy útiles para eliminar a los enemigos más rápidamente, la habilidad de camuflaje es excelente a la hora de derrotar a los enemigos sigilosamente, por otro lado los gadgets son pocos pero se compensa con las abilidades anteriores ya mencionadas, el sountrack es increíble y queda perfecto en este juego, la historia es algo corta ya que en mi caso la campaña me costó alrededor de 4 horas claro sí juegas misiones secundarias y completas los coleccionables que hay en el juego te llevarán aproximadamente unas 10 horas, un punto negativo del juego es que en algunas ocasiones las texturas en algunas cinemáticas no cargaban y en algunas peleas el juego bajaba de fps, ojo esto por que yo jugué en la versión para ps4. En conclusión es un gran juego, eso sí mucho más corto que el primero pero cumple en entretenerte :)… Expand

Miles gains experience, discovers his new abilities, and becomes a full-fledged spider-man. The story itself leaves a pleasant feeling. The authors were not too lazy, and did a good job on the mistakes of the first part, wrote an excellent script,This is not the usual addition, as was the case with Uncharted The lost legacy, but a full-fledged development of the universe and characters. Miles gains experience, discovers his new abilities, and becomes a full-fledged spider-man. The story itself leaves a pleasant feeling. The authors were not too lazy, and did a good job on the mistakes of the first part, wrote an excellent script, correctly entered the characters in the story.     Great lead character, sympathetic villain, improved combat, gameplay mechanics that make the game more interesting, the list goes on....
    An amazing game with a great story and hours and hours of pure fun. At first I thought that it was going to be disappointing but it’s even better than the first one in my opinion.

    4. Атмосфера - просто нереальная! снег, Рождество, шапочки с шарфами, украшения, елки, огоньки — все это и ещё куча вещей делают атмосферу в игре просто потрясающую.

    5. Открытый мир - живой, проработанный, ты чувствуешь, что находишься в этом наполненном всяких интересностей городе, правда есть пару исключений: два дополнительных заданий были действительно очень примитивными (правда и есть другие, которые очень крутые) и иногда прослеживается глупость прохожих, например, они махают не в твою сторону (хотя должны тебе).

    игра на четко 8/10 из-за хоть и не большого, но присущего количество багов и небольшие недочеты открытого мира. а так потрясающая и невероятная игра!    … Expand

    Amazing game. This game feels like next gen especially with the Haptic dual sense. From the graphics to gameplay you will not be dissapointed. I spent hours alone swinging from building to building.
    I’ve been such a huge miles morales comic and Spider-Man ultimate fan and this game brought it all to life.

Mechanically everything has been built upon or improved from the original game. Traversing the city feels faster and more fluid, and combat has a more brutal edge to it thanks to Miles' venom powers.

    Some positive absences from the first game include the Mary-Jane missions (which were narratively cogent but brought the pacing of the game to a crawl), as well as the pointless laundry list of side chores, which has been cropped down to a more manageable number of more engrossing side-missions.
    This is a more succinct game without the padding of most modern titles. Even though you'll be spending a shorter time with the game, there is a much higher ratio of quality time.    … Expand

    I paid 60 dollars for the original Spider-Man which is twice as long as this game and i paid 70 dollars for this one? Does this make sense? NO but Miles Morales is a great expansion for this universe.

    There is still a 2021 full of great titles for PS4. But it is a good way to start saying goodbye to the system, and / or to welcome the PlayStation 5.

    Miles Morales should not be seen only as a small advance to what awaits us in the new generation. It should serve as an aperitif, a good dose of adrenaline, on which Insomniac Games can become capable of in charge of the authentic second part. This time exclusively on PS5.

    Insomniac did a great job with this game. A great (but short) story. Similar and more fluid combat. An amazing variety of moves while swinging. But they need to innovate on next one when thinking about side quests. Although u can finish the game without looking for then, they should make us really needy for that.

While I do think that the $50 price tag for such a short experience is a bit high ($30-$40 wouldI think that Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a good, yet flawed experience. First thing to note, it is a very short game. Around 6-ish hours to finish the campaign, with not a whole lot else to do. It will keep you entertained for a few weeks and the Platinum trophy is pretty fun to get. While I do think that the $50 price tag for such a short experience is a bit high ($30-$40 would be much appealing, and I'm sure the price will go down soon, as do most PS4 exclusives), I still feel my purchase was justified. Of course, this is a follow-up to not only my favorite PS4 title, but my favorite game of all time, so I do love this game a lot, albeit with a few flaws that may detract from the potential experience.

    1. Gameplay: Miles Morales (MM)'s gameplay is largely similar to the gameplay as in Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) as to be expected. In combat, you have your same attacks all using Square, Triangle, Circle, and R1. Combat feels solid, fluid, and is just pure FUN! However, there is something new to play with. Venom powers. By pressing L1 in combination with other buttons you can use a Venom attack. These bioelectric attacks are strong and are usable once you fill up a gauge. This gauge can also be used to heal yourself. Venom powers are also used on other things across the game, even in non-combat sections. Web-swinging is similar to 2018's swinging, with some changes, especially in animation. Stealth in this game is also quite fun. Using Miles' new camouflage power, it's easier to wipe out a group of thugs. In addition, Miles has new gadgets to use which can change up both stealth and combat in fun new ways. Other usual things happen, like random crimes. Plus, there is a new feature called the FNSM app, which is basically side quests to do around the city. Basically, if you loved 2018's gameplay, MM has all that with some more.

    2. Plot/Narrative: This is one area where I have to say, I was mildly disappointed. 2018's story knocked it out of the park with what a Spider-Man game's story could be and legitimately surprised me how well Insomniac could do. While MM's story wasn't *bad*, it was quite predictable and didn't give that "Wow!" that 2018 did. It was good enough and I enjoyed it, I just felt that the game's length was kinda small. The side missions however did add some character to the city and their people and I enjoyed it. The ending was quite good however, and was one of my favorite parts. The overall theme of Miles learning with his power's was sufficient, but could have been expanded upon.

    3. Graphics/Performance: One thing to note is that I played this game on the PS4 Slim. I don't own the PS5 version yet, but have seen that the game looks BEAUTIFUL on PS5. On PS4? It's decent, but only just. I just feel like this game is a bit worse graphically on PS4. The frame rate is... not the best in some areas (and on PS4 it runs at 30fps). During 90% of the game it's fine. But there are major frame drops in the last level and during Underground Bases. The last level especially was a bit glitchy on PS4. Again, it was fine, and I was fine with it with all my 40+ hours. The winter New York City does look beautiful, and the photo mode works great. It really does please the eyes. That is the best area in terms of graphics. If you only have a PS4, the graphics won't make a huge effect on your enjoyment, and I still found the graphics to look nice most of the time.

    4. Quality/Polish: This game is very high-quality. From my experience, Insomniac is a great developer and I love their work on the Spider-Man games. It feels like a good game, and is a high-quality experience. I rarely encountered any glitches on my 2 playthroughs. I think I had 2 glitches in total, both on the last level.

    5. Verdict: I give Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales an 83/100. The gameplay is very good, dare I say even better than the first game. The plot however, falls flat in some areas. The graphics were also ok. However, it was a high-quality feeling game, and I do love it a lot. The side content is rather fun to do, and I loved 100%ing the game. If you were a fan of the first game, love action games, love Spider-Man, I say buy it. If you're worried you might not be getting your money's worth, I'd say maybe wait for a $10-$20 dollar price drop, but I would say the fun factor and overall quality is well worth the $50 price tag I purchased this game for.

    Spider-man with Miles Morales - is the game for having a good time without overloaded canon drama of original game. Just fun, just fly and swinging between buildings and catching criminals listening relaxing music. But main story is a little too short.

    Este juego ofrece una historia corta, Buenos gráficos, buena historia y jugabilidad es más que disfrutable apoyándose de lo que Spiderman(2018) creo y mejorando algunos apartados, mi único problema es que se siente más como un DLC que un juego completo por su corta duración pero quitando eso, es un juego muy bueno

    It's a standalone DLC that have play time 6-9 hours. Already great swinging mechanics, combat mechanics.

    -I think Miles's powers are overrated in this game.

    It's the same insomniac's spider-man formula we got use love and enjoy. Great visuals, satisfying combat and many more but the story feels small and lacking in some areas.

    The graphics are simply beautiful, perfectly adapted to the new technologies, the loading of the game is extraordinarily fast! The story is another strong point, I recommend it to everyone.

    Morales’ New York is just as basic as before. There is nothing to do except complete the same missions, and the city cannot offer anything more except spectacular bird’s eye view panoramas.

    Spider-Man: Miles Morales has a lot to say and it uses every available resource to communicate its messages and themes. Like Miles himself, it is earnest. Among other things, it depicts societal issues in an honest, digestible, and unabashed way. I said before that Spider-Man: Miles Morales establishes a new gold standard for superhero games but that’s not the only bar it’s moving. There are multiple bars set by Spider-Man: Miles Morales that developers should attempt to clear in future products.
