Jan 19, 2018Really enjoyed the batman telltale series and felt very let down by Guardians of the Galaxy. The game does not capture the spirit of the movies at all (partly because the characters are so different), and mechanics that were ok in Batman are just purely annoying here (hard to solve puzzles that aren't hard because they require smarts but because they are obnoxious)

Apr 15, 2022Game sucks because of certain limitations on the gameplay because of the puzzle solving element is very counter intuitive at times. The combat is just squad based all over the place, Star Lord is the weakest link and I'd rather play as somebody else. Do not recommend playing.

Games Master UKJun 20, 2017We're left cautiously optimistic for Telltale's first foray into the Marvel universe, but the story needs to shift up a gear if this series is to escape the shadow of its big-screen brother. [June 2017, p.83]

Edge MagazineMay 27, 2017Despite [North's] efforts, a couple of big laughs (the world's slowest lift; Drax's sincere literalism) and at least one genuine surprise, you're left with a gnawing sensation that Telltale's formula is becoming as creaky as its engine. And that's a feeling on which you're unlikely to get hooked. [July 2017, p.120]
