It's time to dust off your overalls and hitch on your toolbelt in Manic Mechanics - a chaotic couch co-op game where you and up to three fellow grease monkeys serve the car-obsessed residents of Octane Isle.

Your mission? Work your way through Octane Isle's five neighborhoods, challenging the Master Mechanics that rule each part of town. Repair as many cars, trucks, choppers, tractors, mini-subs (and even UFOs) as possible to prove your worth in this hectic race against the clock.

No two games are the same as you work your way through 25 unique garage levels, each one more challenging than the last.

Manic Mechanics is a simple, fun, chaotic cooperative game that relies on some innovations during gameplay that highlight its competence. By avoiding excess, it delivers family content full of entertainment, as well as an accessible solo experience.

Manic Mechanics is great for an afternoon of fun with a friend or someone new to this style of game, but with its limited content I struggle to see it making any meaningful waves. I would love to see the content expanded on in the future with DLC or a sequel. The game is unique and inventive within the structure that it was created. Given further iteration, I could see myself enjoying the Manic Mechanics world just as much as I enjoy Overcooked.

Manic Mechanics is a fun, well-designed party game that eschews overly-complicated gameplay and puts the fun first.

Manic Mechanics is a reasonably sufficient attempt to do Overcooked! in a garage, but lacks the magic that made its influence such a classic. Entirely disposable fun for a weekend then, just don’t be expecting your friends to be begging to play more next week.
