    there is a decade long list of bugs and issues that are still present in the so called "game"

    Nothing more than a $100 re-skin with a roster/soundtrack update. Nothing was done about franchise mode, especially when it comes to relocation. Everything is the same unless you've taken the absurd plunge to buy a current-gen console! EA should be ashamed of themselves, everything I'm reading says I'm not the only one feeling emotionally raped by this purchase!

    Same game as the past 10 years. Better nfl games on the ps2. Try NFL2k8 or an older madden before madden 2013. The game is way better then.

    I cant belive people seriously will spend money every year to buy the same damn game ...

    Franchise mode is very broken. Fix this EA! In year 2 of franchise every team refuses to re-sign franchise players. If you sign or trade a player your depth chart is automatically reset.

    I believe Madden 23 is a very good step forward but there's more room for improvement. While I like the new features for Franchise and Gameplay, but I feel bitter that X-Factors returned.

    If you have Madden 18, you have this game. The amount of rebranding the same product over the years has gotten ridiculous. Bring back Madden pre Xbox one/PS4 please. I can’t deal with this buggy thing.

    No one wants ultimate team, we want franchise and career mode. Stop trying to get more money out of the people that buy your game and give them something worth paying the original price for.

    The same procedure as every year. You get the same game as last year with minimal changes and the new rooster at full price. As always it is buggy, there are glitches and the main goal is selling you the ultimate team to get even more money out of you. Sadly it cant be avoided. There are enough people that support this business model so we will get the same for Madden 24 / 25 / 26 etc.

    Still just as bad as the last 10 years of barebones Madden. No improvements and attention to franchise of course because of their passion for taking people's money in that slot machine football mode called Ultimate Team. Way to spit on Maddens grave with so little effort into your game.

    Same Madden garbage as always. I rarely write reviews but I had to say something here.
    Madden is NOT a simulation football game. It is gambling software with a football veneer. There is no other franchise that I can think off that has insulted its user base for so long. The EA and the NFL should hang their heads in shame. But they won't because they're raking in those $$$ with their MUT nonsense.

    Garbage and uninstalled! Never finished my trial! Somehow Detroit can catch up magically to Hurts on all-pro when I have a clear lane then they mysteriously close? Online is a wreck. No passing method on our system. Just play an old Madden or MLB the Show 22! Hang it up EA!

    I've been playing Madden for many many years, and I have to say this is one of the worst; if not the worst rendition I can remember in this franchise! The production staff set out to make this "the most polished Madden ever". Well EA, you should stop wasting your time trying to polish this giant smelly turd of a game!     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 1. Rushing as a lineman can send you straight to the ground, running for the sideline, or running nothing at all.
    2. Trying to switch defenders to intercept ball is frustrating because my defenders almost Never jump when I hit triangle to jump. ID say 80% of the time there is no reaction.
    3. No graphics for over thrown balls, underthrown balls or anything of that sort. If the balls or over or underthrown due to quarterback ratings being low, then it should play out as such. At the moment we basically have the intended receiver just staring straight ahead as the vall flies right past their faces. This happens WAY to often. Just feels lazy and disconnected from reality.
    4. Onside punts and kickoffs don't really work like this in reality. There are some professional onside kickers and it is just clearly a flaw in the game 5. Franchise Mode, Owner Mode whatever you want to call it is straight TRASH. At one point you could literally manage the Ball boy. Now it's all about corny scripts and painful graphics and story lines. Puke.

    Madden 23 returns to its roots by focusing on gameplay improvement and player experience. Though no significant developments or additions were made to its multiple game modes, this still feels like a step in the right direction for a franchise that has otherwise been taking it in the shins in recent years. It still remains to be seen whether EA can build on the solid foundation of this year’s release, but at the very least, the game is a fitting tribute to the legend of John Madden, who preached fundamentals above all else.
