    This game is trash. All games decided by jank animations instead of actual physics. At that point, there's no point in playing. HARD don't buy

    It is almost comical at this point what EA gets away with. There is no franchise overhaul or changes. They added the NHL menu OVER the same franchise menu that has been in the game for years. When it loads you can still see it. There is no scouting at release?? Are you kidding me?? The “coordinater” is bare bones minimum. Can’t change names, can’t change looks. No depth, its done worseIt is almost comical at this point what EA gets away with. There is no franchise overhaul or changes. It’s as if they took an old ncaa game and started to work on revamping it then just said “forget it, let’s make this the new madden” then released it. People should lose their jobs over this.     EA Sports once again uses minor improvements to Franchise mode as a marketing tactic to try to bring us back. Just stop trying, we know you could give two **** about the game mode that has been left untouched since Madden 25 and that was ruined on Madden 13. YouTubers like Softdrinktv, Ryan Moody, and Angry Joe, who actually review the game properly, are a vocal minority because of these mut youtubers who waste thousands of dollars for virtual trading cards that are worthless in less than a year. Enough about depth, let's talk presentation. We have the same garbage ass commentary with the same garbage ass lines since Madden 17. There is no real halftime show, and yet Brandon Gaudin gets pissed when you skip the 10-second blank screen with no stats, no anything. He says one or two sentences, then you're at kickoff. The game looks almost identical on ps4 as on the ps5. Gameplay has had the same issues since Madden 19, y shallow cross leaves the ai defense helpless, we won't talk about that. Oh, and the bugs. There are several videos on YouTube, I'm sure you've seen most of them, just unacceptable of a $60 sports game in 2021. Let's start speaking with our wallets, people. Anybody who has played the recent Madden games (18-22) knows that EA is not going to change the game if we just keep buying it every year and complaining about it. EA DON'T GIVE A **** Play the old ones on the PS2, awesome games. I play NFL 2k5, a masterpiece that has aged like fine wine. to people saying "oh, my friends would make fun of me if they saw me playing a 17-year-old game" **** them. Let them keep feeding EA's cycle of **** and enjoy yourself. Matter fact, go outside and play football. Spend some time with your friends. Just have fun, at the end of the day. Don't force yourself to buy a **** product. If you like new Maddens, that's awesome. I wish I could enjoy these new games. Don't just go along with other people's opinions all the time.… Expand

    Do not give ea any money for this pile of trash! It is November 27th and this pile of crap is unplayable! I'm tired of giving this garbage company money for games that only change things for the worst. Madden 21 was ok at best and then they come out with this garbage! Glitchy trash that makes game play worse then it already was. Way to ruin a franchise you money hungry ****

    First of all, I‘d like to point out the positive fact, that EA has reacted to their community by apparently trying to improve their Franchise mode. Hashtags such as #fixmaddenfranchise were trending and it is good to see them actually responding to this.

    However, the only difference you can actually feel in this game, is the different layout of menus and little additions such as the homefield advantage. This community desperately asks for a more in depth customization of their playing experience. The staff options are decent, but they were not even among the top 5 additions, that this community frequently asks for. I understand that EA or the NFL has concerns about customization aspects, such as creating a team with jerseys or adding tattoos. Yet these are the little things, that are possible on a technical side and EA had this stuff in their games over a decade ago.

    To summarize my point: it‘s the same game as every year, with some different menus. The gameplay and graphics changes are hardly noticable. Their "additions“ simply can‘t change the fact, that you get bored after less then a single season in Franchise Mode. Safe your money guys and lets just hope that the upcoming NCAA will simply copy everything they had in 2014 with better graphics. It‘s sad, but that would already be a huge improvement compared to every Madden after Madden 25. And if there is one wish I can ask for:

    Keep those Madden developers as far away from the NCAA-game as possible. Please EA, just do it for your community. It will be worth it.    … Expand

    It's better than Madden 21 and while there are improvements in Franchise Mode, I feel like there could be more. And they made improvements to the gameplay. However, I honestly don't like the new home field advantage and the return of X- Factors. But overall, Madden NFL 22 is a very solid game.

The Madden franchise community (except for people that only make money off of saying bad stuff on the game) has embraced and loved the changes. This game is the best Madden since Madden 12. I tip my hat to Mr. Weingarten, Mr. Douglas, and the entire EAMadden 21 was the worst sports game I’ve ever played. However, EA put in the time and the effort that us fans have been saying for years.     Madden has made so many great changes this year than they have for the past 7 games combined and they're all amazing. Madden took a huge step this year and will continue to build on it for years to come. Stop hating and saying they made no changes this when the literally made so many huge changes.

    Is it good? No. Is it better than all the other frostbite engine Maddens? Yes. And it's the only way to play football with 17 game seasons and 14 team playoffs.

    At least they updated the rosters. Everything else is exactly the same as before except for the coach trait development tree.

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! I usually get a new sports title every 5 years and this game is just atrocious! EA doesn't care about what you want. They want that Ultimate Team $$$$! Man, I miss Madden 2k5.

    There are plenty of modes to keep you busy, but they're all the same. I am totally over MUT and challenges and other garbage the developers shoe-horn into the    Look, its not a bad game, its not a great one either.

Bold face lies and it is a travesty they don’t have competition in the sim football market. Gameplay is once again riddled with bugs and driven by awful glitchy animations. Reusing so many of the same things. This game is second to Cyberpunk with the amount of errors it has been released with. I wish they would just re-release Madden 05 with updated stadiums and rosters.

EA has completely cut every cost in development purely to rake in as much profits from the imbeciles spending $ on Ultimate Team, which is aiding in the slow decline of quality in games. Madden NFL is decent. More animations for game play is nice, however Madden is too animations dependent. The graphics are still mediocre. Remember during the PS2Madden NFL is in a very sad state.     Why the **** did the NFL renew the license to EA? The gameplay is ****ing horrible, even NFL players talk about how horrible the AI is in this game. Its nowhere near a simulation game. NFL needs to wake up and let other companies make NFL games. Its the ONLY way EA will ever step up their game

    Created an account just to warn people - STAY AWAY. Severely broken. Random bans on people. Crashes constantly. And the company just flat out has contempt for you for buying their game.

    Please. It's not worth it. Don't make the mistake I made. THIS IS SUPREMELY TERRIBLE.

    EA might be Satan himself at this point.

    I want to rate the game higher because of all the new features and effort swami and other devs put into Franchise but the gameplay is so bad its still almost unplayable if you want simulation football. Full of bugs, glitches, and still runs on a FPS shooter engine.

    Madden is a billion dollar franchise that has grown content. Thanks to its exclusivity deals, EA takes zero risks and fumbles each year providing us rehashed versions of previous entries. Madden NFL 22 is no different. Meager improvements are outweighed by series fatigue. Instead of focusing on giving us polished gameplay mechanics and an improved Franchise Mode, EA's focus is divided into unwelcome modes like Face The Franchise and The Yard leading to an overall incomplete and broken experience.
