    Just ignore all of the bad reviews, if you're a die-hard Madden fan then you'll love this game! Each year Madden just gets better and better, though the music is a bit lackluster this year that doesn't take away from the exciting hard hitting action! Get in the game!!!

    Best Madden that i play, Until madden 20 gameplay was horrid (unplayable worst in a sport game), this game fix this, and gameplay is heart of a sport game no doubt about it. Franchise can be improved but we can wait for this because he is acceptable instead the gameplay. For you know how horrid was gameplay in md until 20 every qb play like mahome and brady

    When you gather evidence for the fact that EA breaks both legal and moral law, by selling a product that does not do as they advertised it, (while no, their User Agreement doesn't excuse them,) then It's a 10 for the Corporate Left Wing. No God= No moral compass. Liberal Lawyers = circumvent true laws, corrupt them thus protecting themselves. This isn't a matter of "don't buy it then." Not a matter of "get better at it." Those are diversions of the isse: the issue is, "EA advertises a product (players) to work a certain way, but they then control what you bought while also using the opponent CPU to render the purchases useless. They are outright criminals hiding behind a corrupt User Agreement that should NOT Trump moral law tha legal laws are supposed to be based on. The more money or time one spends, the more the CPU reduces the product's attributes and outright controls the customer's purchased team with specific and advertised attributes and game play. EA also trains agents to lie, or avoid true answers. 1/2 can't speak English right and say they "can't" fix anything, they avoid truth, they purposefully make you wait, they purposefully try to get customers with legit issues to just go away.     Playing MADDEN NFL 20 has had a profound impact on my life in numerous ways. Initially, I was drawn to the game for its realistic graphics and gameplay, but over time, it has become so much more to me.     Madden 19 to Madden 20 is biggest improvement Madden has had since Madden 25 to Madden 15. The graphics are improved, mainly do to better lighting. The gameplay feels very smooth. And the x factors and superstar abilities are a game changer. Every player in the game feels completely different, and they all feel like that specific player. The only complaint I have is Face of the FranchiseMadden 19 to Madden 20 is biggest improvement Madden has had since Madden 25 to Madden 15. The graphics are improved, mainly do to better lighting.     This is the best Madden I've ever played gameplay wise. MUT, an over hyped career mode, and a lackadaisical Franchise mode plague the game however. However If your a player like me that only plays online head to head or play now, you'll love it.

    Best Madden I have played so far! Controls are stellar. Visually beautiful and engaging presentation. I really do love this game so far. I understand this is much like the past couple of years, but it does get better each year. I recommend you angry reviewers skip a couple of years between versions. It is the exact same thing with NBA2K20. Also, I am no longer playing MyTeam orBest Madden I have played so far! Controls are stellar. Visually beautiful and engaging presentation.     I would like to say, that i am new at this franchise. I'm watching the NFL since years but it is my first virtual snap with this game. I really enjoy the gameplay. The "story" is ok but not the best. I like "The Journey" form Fifa more. Overall the game is pretty solid.

    Despite the criticism, I actually enjoyed this game more than madden 15, 16,17, 19 I feel it has a good balance in play and is fun! Too many expect too much in a game these days and just like to criticize for the sake of criticizing, yes I agree more still can and should be done but Madden 20 is a step in the right direction and gets my vote. The only thing I dislike is the politicalDespite the criticism, I actually enjoyed this game more than madden 15, 16,17, 19 I feel it has a good balance in play and is fun! Too many expect too much in a game these days and just like to criticize for the sake of criticizing, yes I agree more still can and should be done but Madden 20 is a step in the right direction and gets my vote.     To those whining about face of the franchise mode being 2 games. Are you that naive? The object of the mode is become face of a nfl franchise not college. Fotf mode has multiple seasons. You complete those 2 gms, get drafted and play your nfl career.

    While it's not a huge step up from madden 18 (let's not talk about 19, that game was just trash), they did address my biggest gripe: not being able to consistently user defend the pass. Finally, my user controlled linebacker plays the ball in the air, almost always. That alone hugely improves my experience, so I'll give it a positive score.

    I play MUT and have noticed the slot machine is a little loser this year. Challenges have been tweaked making it fun. It has a star rating the more stars you add the harder it is but more rewards. Game flow feels sluggish at first then after a few games it groves nicely. The double tap receiver button to show fake is a mess to me, specially on quick plays causing sacks. As MUT goes so farI play MUT and have noticed the slot machine is a little loser this year.     Let's break this down

    1) Evolution: Many reviews are based upon the failed evolution and progress of Madden by EA Sports. Those reviewers have a legitimate complaint. Lack of competition and effort has killed progress in football sports gaming. Agreed. I would score it a "2" based upon this criteria. 2) Madden 20 Gameplay: The gameplay this year is very good. X-factors are enjoyable.    Let's break this down

    I really like the game. The running feels like NCAA compared to last years game and the throwing mechanics feel great. The players on the field feel fast and agile which is something I really appreciate. Still not enough depth in franchise mode.

    I don't understand the hate Madden gets year in and year out. This to me is another solid game. Nothing mind blowing, but also not as bad it is made out to be. It does what it is supposed to do well for me. Be an American football game which is why I buy madden games.

    I have been playing madden since madden 15 and i really enjoy the game and the franchise. Madden 20 is a great game in my opinion. The gameplay is even more realistic, the announcement is much better, and the franchise has improved greatly. I am not the biggest fan of the X-Factor aspect of the game. I feel like it puts an unfair advantage to the player when playing online against otherI have been playing madden since madden 15 and i really enjoy the game and the franchise. Madden 20 is a great game in my opinion. The gameplay is even more realistic, the announcement is much better, and the franchise has improved greatly. I am not the biggest fan of the X-Factor aspect of the game. I feel like it puts an unfair advantage to the player when playing online against other players. I also think that the story mode in Madden 20 could use major improvement but I feel like it's going in the right direction. I believe that the character customization and the full story as a whole could be improved. For example, EA has also made 2k20. In my opinion 2k has an amazing story mode where you can interact with other players online, train with teams, and the story as a whole is much more in depth. The interaction between the game and player is also much more personal. The aspect of sponsors that you can gain in 2k is also very great. I feel like if Madden was to put that into the game it will give the players more to work for. I think madden is a great game but I also think that it can use some of the aspects of 2k20 to better the game.… Expand

    While only playing Xbox there were many improvements from 19. Graphics was a good upgrade from the original game. One thing I loved was X-Factors It help me beat My Brother While playing the Patriots. There were negatives such as increased disc space was a big no-no.     I’m personally giving Madden 20 a 7 because I really enjoy the game overall. Madden 20 is a definite improvement over Madden 19. The gameplay is smoother and less driven by animations. Middle Linebackers are nerfed and it’s easier to pass into tight windows and run. However the QB1 mode is horrendous. I loved playing in the college football playoff but other than that it just sucked.I’m personally giving Madden 20 a 7 because I really enjoy the game overall. The lame attempt at a story line is trash too and doesn’t make much sense. Once you get to the league it’s basically what it used to be other than the scenario generator which is ok I guess but QB1 is the reason I lowered my score. Franchise mode is basically the same but they definitely improved the draft. It is way more interesting to find steals because when fully scouted it shows where the player should be drafted and a hidden dev trait means the player is eventually going to turn into at least an 80 after they’ve developed. MUT is basically the same and so is quick play as well. What really makes the game better to me is the little things EA did to improve it. Hurry up is way better and Superstar Abilities are challenging to activate but rewarding when you do but it’s not too difficult to knock someone out of the zone. It truly feels like you are playing with a superstar. If you enjoy football a lot then you should buy it it’s a fine game but don’t expect anything amazing.… Expand

Finally, the QB1 Face of the Franchise admittedly is bare bone. But at least we have a start. I’m confident we will soon have a madden 08 like version of this.

    And stop saying FIFA is better because it has competition. PES is basically RBI Baseball compared to its upper hand. They can’t compete. FIFA has ultimate team with less interesting promos, boring solo challenges and the same online experience as Madden. They are the same game for different sports. Face it.    … Expand

    Game is quite enjoyable, but is still riddled by many bugs and micro transactions. As long as the base premise is there, this game will always be fun to some extent, but the fact that this game still undergoes little change makes it hard to have a refreshing and enjoyable, long lasting experience with this game.

    The best Madden since the PS2 days. Gameplay is the most balanced it has ever been. The offense is definitely OP out of the box. EA still doesn’t tune very well. You’ll still see far too accurate quarterback play, CPU that doesn’t run the ball well and All Pro mode that is not difficult enough and All Madden mode that cheats. Bad safety play and poor programming has defensive backs turning the wrong way or just standing in open space doing nothing. Player movement may be the best it has ever been. Physics are barely present in the game. Gang tackling is basically no more than 3 players. Kicking is still the same. Very easy and gimmicky. Kick blocks are predetermined in a way and do not happen organically through physics and ratings. Long time legacy problem Linebacker lurk is gone! Franchise mode is weak and embarrassing at this point. No coordinators, no injury wear and tear system, shallow scouting, shallow draft, shallow historical stats, QB rushing stats are broken and no 5th year option still on contracts. New scenario engine is a great idea but shallow and doesn’t even work for CPU controlled teams! Gameplanning is worthless and shallow. Another great idea added was fog of war for rookie dev traits but yet another poorly implemented idea. It doesn’t hide all dev traits and the way to unlock is broken at launch. Worst of all though is the draft animation for dev trait is still in the game so even though the trait is hidden the animation gives it away! EA can do better.… Expand

    Physics are a total mess. For every cool looking play you get 4/5 bizarre looking ones. The game is fun vs friends, but much less so vs the CPU. Madden 20 has a lot of psuedo difficulty....meaning you'll miss open wideouts randomly for no reason, your wrs will drop easy balla, & on face of the franchise your kicker will miss a tonal of field goals.     Alot of people who rate Madden bad either dont play it or haven't played it in years. True is not a perfect game, it does have some issues, but its a fun game. I understand some people frustrations but this game isn't that bad to where it rates a 0 from people.

    Madden NFL 20 is still one of the best videogames if you want to simulate any sport but it's very clear that it needs more: more graphics, more gameplay changes, more news in its modes... X-Factor is a good new, but still insufficient to sense that gameplay is different that last year's edition.

    Madden NFL 20 takes a step in the right direction and I really enjoyed the X-Factor additions to the series. While I still think some form of competition would force EA to make more drastic changes, I’m not optimistic with any developers taking a spin with the football genre (maybe the XFL?). If you haven’t caught the pigskin for a few seasons, Madden NFL 20 is the right route to run for this year. With the new consoles coming (most likely) next holiday, I’m looking forward to seeing what EA builds upon from Madden NFL 20 and brings over to next gen. For now I’ll enjoy taking the Broncos to the Super Bowl, while beating up the cover pretty boy, Mahomes (not bitter at all).
