    I played just the pro bowl while waiting for the game to install..nothing but glitches, really low AI IQ, literally had AI players walking in the middle of gameplay. Only thing EA cares about is improving microtransactions.

    Madden name is equal with the Yearly hidden downgrades system. Targeting young kids who can't figure this out ,yet and empty they pocket with micro transactions. Quality worst and worst every year, graphic , animation, physics......everything. Les and less , worst and worst. They try to hide it with a huge "magic trick" manipulation and with young kids it is works. (Not they fault) ThisMadden name is equal with the Yearly hidden downgrades system.     Lol why do people still buy this crap? There's no excuse for charging more when the only change is the roster year on year. This is classic EA Greed. No Probowl in 2019 but they bring it back in 2020 and that's the change? Seriously they are not even trying anymore because they know the Madden fans are the most gullible in the industry and will buy it anyway.

Just compare the $79.99 Verizon of the game this year to last year. You get less stuff and if you want last years $79.99 pack you have to pay $99.99 this year.     Same microtransaction BS as the last few years. Same garbage character creation as the last few years. Same bugs as the last few years. Literally the same garbage football game as the last few years, but with a slightly altered user interface. Oh, and they added Pro bowl back to the game, they took it out just to add it back in again as a "new" feature

The customization of the characters is extremely lacking and has the same amount of customization as madden 19. And don't even get me started with the Super star edition, you get even less the last years madden 19’s bonuses!     I hate these games now. I hate Madden Ultimate Team. I just want good gameplay and franchise mode.. I played the Beta and my game froze on me. The dropped passes were bad and happened often. Catching the ball isn't like it used to be in older games. The last Madden I liked was Madden 12 and 13. I could throw it to a receiver and have him run to a spot and go up to catch the ball.     How do you release a buggy game when you have not changed anything in the game in years?

    I will say you will enjoy this game if you want Madden 2018 with an updated roster or if you enjoy spending real life money for digital collecting cards

It is not a bad game by any means, but there is almost no new content that makes a difference to the gaming experience.     Face of the Franchise is really fun but the customization options for the game as a whole is a joke so you end up with a player that looks like a slug in his face.
    The game looks fine visually but my biggest critique is the same as it was with Madden 19. There is still the completely retarded and scripted plays during games where flags, rules, physics and common sense are thrown out the window. Defenders can remove your player with brute force, catch the ball through other players bodies, cause an incomplete pass if a receiver is hit in any part off his body during a leaping/jumping catch, the AI on offense doesn't have a clue where the goal line or line to gain is, Offensive Linemen give up on plays at the snap so the QB gets sacked, Running in the Redzone is 85% of the time impossible in goal line formation, reviews and challenges makes no sense, the commentary is terrible, there is no halftime show..... still, the music is still the worst of any game franchise since I have taste and don't listen to Mumble-Rap, the AI still has plays on both defense and offense you can't beat and last but not least Zone defense doesn't work for the 8th time in a row in a madden game no matter what players you have on defense.
    It's still fun to play at times but especially the scripted plays ruin it every single time. EA don't care about you as a player so you shouldn't buy this game until it goes on sale.    … Expand

    Just complete and utter garbage. They consistently do nothing to improve any of the modes that don't make them money from microtransactions. Franchise hasn't had an upgrade in years and the "big" new feature this year is the pro bowl, which was already in Madden in the past.

    Slightly better than 19 which was arguably the worst football game ever made by EA. 20’s new features are ripped out of previous madden games just thrown back in. Game is glitchy in every aspect with clips to prove it post day one patch. Time to sell the license.

    Best Madden that i play, Until madden 20 gameplay was horrid (unplayable worst in a sport game), this game fix this, and gameplay is heart of a sport game no doubt about it. Franchise can be improved but we can wait for this because he is acceptable instead the gameplay. For you know how horrid was gameplay in md until 20 every qb play like mahome and brady

    It's a fresh coat of paint and nothing more, anyone paying full price for this is insane (I regret buying madden 17-19 full price) we need competition in the football game genre, this is a disgrace

Sure Face of the Franchise and MUT try and rope you in, but after 30+ minutes in to either mode you realize how broken this game is. RBs run really awful routes in FotF mode, and having dabled in play now mode...that too. The play calling has somehowThis game is a frustrating mess.     I really like the game. The running feels like NCAA compared to last years game and the throwing mechanics feel great. The players on the field feel fast and agile which is something I really appreciate. Still not enough depth in franchise mode.

    I firmly believe either A) the critics were paid or B) they just flat our lie. As of now there is no critic negative review. Yet.... the game is absolute filthy (in a bad way). I was done with the AI. I was done with the glitchy running. I was done with the same gameplay with minor graphic tweaks but not gameplay improvements. This game gets a 2 because of the NCAA play.

    I play madden for the GM/Franchise mode and this part is lacking so much of the old madden games I don't know where to start. There are so few options available and the gameplay is so basic.     Madden NFL 20 is still one of the best videogames if you want to simulate any sport but it's very clear that it needs more: more graphics, more gameplay changes, more news in its modes... X-Factor is a good new, but still insufficient to sense that gameplay is different that last year's edition.

    Madden NFL 20 takes a step in the right direction and I really enjoyed the X-Factor additions to the series. While I still think some form of competition would force EA to make more drastic changes, I’m not optimistic with any developers taking a spin with the football genre (maybe the XFL?). If you haven’t caught the pigskin for a few seasons, Madden NFL 20 is the right route to run for this year. With the new consoles coming (most likely) next holiday, I’m looking forward to seeing what EA builds upon from Madden NFL 20 and brings over to next gen. For now I’ll enjoy taking the Broncos to the Super Bowl, while beating up the cover pretty boy, Mahomes (not bitter at all).
