The first episode was quite good, the story was going amazing. But afterward, the game becomes so boring, the game story is streaming so slowly, and very childish scenes turn up. 90% percent of whole episodes are boring except the first. barely played till 4th episode and then deleted. 2-3-4 episodes are about being the babysitter of that little ****

You can only get to make some choices and sometimes you feel that you will end up with the same consequences whatever your choices are. A part from this, the argument and characters are just American stereotypes that some people will like but I don't. Having played until chapter 4 (because as I said they don't let you play the final chapter), I would have rated this game with a 6 (or at least not more than a 7). Far worse than the first Life is Strange. The best chapter is the first one, then it kind of gets boring because, although sometimes is interesting it feels also like a movie. You can play this game but have in mind all that I have said. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Life is Strange 1 (Before the Storm), мне было печально узнать что в Life is Strange 2 будут новые персонажи и история.
В Life is Strange 2 пожалуй много плохих отзывов, поскольку эта часть не была продолжением Life is Strange 1.

nowhere near as good as the first 2, but still interesting for the genre, i did feel the episodes drug on at times though. they try to touch on social issues at times, but it really just sort of comes off as cliche the way they do it. almost every time they try seems like the character they use is the standard stereotype of the select demographic they're addressing.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game isn't the worst I played but still so much just didn't make sense. Like how before Daniel knew their dad died he barely was concerned why they were out camping for days with no money or anything. I know he's a kid but if my older brother took me out camping and we were walking for 2 days I would definitely have some questions. He is 9 year old so he must understand something is wrong.
At 1 point Daniel tells his brother to go away after all they had been through together? That is just complete trash. I know he didn't always agree with his brother but you wouldn't tell him to get lost because you wanna live with strangers you met a few weeks back after you spent months travelling together and how he gave up his life because he was worried about you both being separated.
But it gets worse when Daniel is watching Sean getting beaten half to death. The building is burning down and filling up with smoke with embers falling from the ceiling and not 1 person coughs at all. The guy even pulls a gun out and starts hitting Sean with it. Daniel could use his power at any point. He says leave him alone but does nothing to prevent him from being hit. But 2 minutes before that he used his power to push Sean back? Why didn't he do the same to the guy that beating him to death? But just remember Daniel had his own mother walk out on him but was gonna do the same to Sean for someone he met a month ago? No I'm quite sure he would be less likely to. Also he has gone on about how he wants to see his mum throughout the hole game. When she turns up he's changed his mind and doesn't care anymore. If Sean couldn't sway his opinion then how the hell does a stranger manage to? This is the most pathetic failed attempt at a dramatic scene I have ever witnessed and I have sat through some bad movies/games. If Daniel was gonna tell Sean to leave you could have made it over something bigger then a small disagreement.
It's like each episode was wrote by a different person and no one knew what each other was writing and then it was all thrown together. Also the decisions in this game didn't have as much of an impact as the 1st game which is 1 of the things that makes Life is Strange great is the big decisions and how they effect everything. There was a couple of times when you could choose something different but ultimately all outcomes were mostly the same.
This is a fun game up until the halfway mark but I think the developers aren't as passionate about these games as they use to be when if that's the case they should move onto games they would enjoy creating more because care really shows in the art and game development is an art. I do really wanna see more of these games. True Colors was a good story but that also suffered with decisions making barely any difference. With respect the developer team should check out "Detroit become human" and see how the decisions in that game affect the overall plot. In that game every decision you make has a huge impact on the story and it even maps them all out for you so you know what choices you have made and which ones you never have.
This is definitely the worst life is strange game out of all of them.

Life is strange 2 is an emotional and engaging story with protagonists and topics most studios won't touch, the game tells a story that reflects our current world, it’s more relatable than we'd like to think it’s possible.
The bond between Sean and Daniel has been the heart of this story. Every choice you make, you see whether they just affect Sean, Daniel or both of them, and the choices actually matter, in the first game you can see the consequences of your actions really fast, but in Life is Strange 2, it's not really visible from the beginning, but it will shape the behavior of Daniel, and his behavior will change a lot along their journey and it will all contribute to the ending you’ll get. There's so much character development for Sean, he changes so much from one episode to another and by the end of episode 5 he's not the same sweet boy we met in episode 1, perhaps he'll never be that person again, there's naturally more tension in creating a teenager character who is forced to be a parent to their younger sibling way before they are ready. The idea of what it means to evolve as a parent comes off strong, the moral choices are difficult to make, but that's the intention, to try to make the right decision for Daniel even as he's showing how much he hates you. It's even harder to make moral choices when you're forced into a lifestyle that most would consider immoral for children. This story is so important and it shows the reality of lgbtq+ folks and poc who are homeless in a country where bigotry unfortunately starts to become a 'common' reality. The force that the characters are running from, is the constant spectre of racially motivated violence, the plot is kicked off by that kind of violent incident, a situation that happens everyday in the world, not to mention the complexity of characters when you put it all together: there *are* homeless bisexual boys doing their best to raise their sibling after recently losing their father to a tragic and unnecessary act.

A lot of people have been complaining about political topics in the game, let me tell you something: If they didn't talk about politics, that would be a political message, homeless kids, racism and xenophobia are a real thing, but you say It's politics when a Mexican dad is killed leaving two homeless boys to survive, but good story telling when white girls are murdered? Ok. I see you. I see exactly what you are saying.

I can only hope the people who love Life is Strange 1 can give Life is Strange 2 a chance because it’s a really deeply moving game about a different kind of life, about how powerless life can feel but still getting up and trying, even when really **** up stuff happens. Don’t get me wrong, I love Life is Strange 1 but I relate a lot more to Life Is Strange 2, Chloe and Max were my friends but Sean and Daniel are like my family. Two different kinds of love. I fully understand the love for the first game, I love it too, the world delt queer girls a **** hand and this was representation and love, the world also is dealing a **** hand to Mexican Americans and a sensitive bisexual boy, and to say it’s not realistic says a lot about what kind of person you are.
Whichever direction you take Sean and Daniel's lives, chances are you'll feel responsible for their fates. It's personal. And because it's personal, it's memorable. That's about the utmost positive quality for this style of story.

Being a Life is Strange game, the superpower here is fairly generic and kind of uninteresting.

The main characters themselves are pretty horrible. I don't know why games keep putting children as main POVs. There is also a cringy recap sequence before each episode in the form of an allegory with wolf cubs in place of the main characters. It's awful. Maybe the story and dialog being terrible would be forgivable if the gameplay was good, but it's a graphic adventure game so there is no real gameplay. This is all there is.

The worst thing about it though is that this game only presents the illusion of choice. At every turn you are forced into bad or unethical decisions that don't make sense. When accused of stealing, you can't just show proof that everything was purchased legally. When getting a gift, you're forced to steal instead of just walking away with nothing. When presented with a choice on whether or not to disobey your grandparents' simple request, whatever you choose doesn't matter either way. The narrative forces you to keep a secret at the beginning of the game instead of just telling it which is the obvious and moral thing to do. It just goes on and on with endlessly stupid plot points and terrible choices forced on the player. Early on I just stopped caring.

This is the first game I've ever given 0 stars. It's not just bad, it's offensive to me as a gamer.

    (Edit at the end)

    First impression after finishing.
So much unnecessary suffering. This game threw at you a bunch of choices and all the outcomes are horrible.

And after I tried to be the best possible brother Daniel decided to leave me behind!!! Give me a break.

There is no way to improve the fate of the brothers throughout this game. I enjoyed some parts like the reunion with Karen but then, it had the feeling it did not matter what Sean did, if he tried to be a good brother, or if he tried to obey rules at the end he was beaten, hit, lost his eye. And Daniel was so insufferable for more than 50% of the game.

Oh! and those bigots at the border, that was so unnecessary, it's like the game is trying to make a point of why it's bad to be a racist bigot, but IDK, it came across in a very cheesy and pushy way.

This game makes you feel things, and most of them are horrible things

I gave it a 5 because I still appreciate some parts of the game but for a story-based game, this story was not my thing.

(Edit, a few days after finishing)

Actually, the more days pass the more I come to like the game and the more I understand what the authors were trying to convey. I still believe there were better ways to transmit some of the messages.
Nevertheless, this was a brave game, a great improvement in writing and graphics from the previous one. And also I appreciate the Daniel morality compass affecting the ending.

I saw all the other endings and I must say that I am satisfied with the ending I got.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's so odd to me that people have rated this game as low as they did; I suspect that long time fans aren't happy with the direction the game took, but speaking as a long time fan of the original games and it being the game that originally got me into PC gaming, I prefer Life is Strange Two by a wide margin. Sean as a character seems to be more realized than Max and Chloe- or rather, more human- and not to mention, the choices are a lot more meaningful and have a significant influence on the course of the story. There was significantly more excitement and depth in each of the episodes, with episode four being the highlight of the series. Going beyond the high school environment in LIS, this game deals with violence, xenophobia, religion, brotherhood, and speaks on unfortunately still relevant political issues as it concerns inequality.

Please don't let the reviews deter your experience playing this game; they are wholly inaccurate and based solely on dogmatic allegiance to only the classics and not accepting improvement upon them. It's the same issue that tanked the Last of Us 2 despite it being an incredible game dealing with the nature of revenge and the cycle of violence. Some of the "critiques" I read was that it was leftist propaganda (which makes me question if they played the first game) and that it lacked character development- despite the minor, minor detail that a significant function of the game is shaping your brother to be moral and immoral depending on your actions. Also the critique that Sean did not have character development in spite of the entire game being based on a forceable transition to maturity to protect and value family above all else, to become similar to the father he lost. It honestly just convinces me that these people read that it commentated on immigration issues and decided from then forth to hate the game without actually playing it.

As much as I hold the original story dear to my heart, Life is Strange Two is a more mature, well rounded version of its successor. Unfortunately, LIS's status as a cult classic for whatever reason makes the general user consensus more aversive- but undeservingly, and it almost makes me wonder if the people in the comments even played the game with an open attitude. Overall, I found it to be a significant improvement in its choices, characters, themes, and general gameplay.

Arguably the biggest mistake of Life is Strange 2 is it clearly takes some political stances which will alienate some of its players or may offend some with how their political stances are portrayed in the game. With all that the game gives some good characters and has a lot of heart, they really excel at making you care about the characters and the relationships you have with them it doesn’t do a great job at building atmosphere as the previous games but that’s mostly due to the constant moving of the characters and lack of execution. Bad stuff:
    - episode 4 is such a frustrating disappointment. It's like all the good choices you made regarding your relationship with Daniel in the previous episodes didn't matter. Although the plot did imply that Daniel had been brainwashed but that's just lazy writing. Also, the Reverend Mother is probably the post poorly written character in the whole game, one bad cliché after another
    - the game wants to be politically correct but doesn't have the balls to call the issue as it is: racism. Just say it FFS. It's so awkward and cringy and unnatural to hear them trying everything they can to describe "racism" but somehow refuse to use the actual term
    - the voice acting is bad. Daniel sounds like he is always on the brink of burst out crying, it gets old really quickly. And everyone speaks like they just learn English, too many stops, like "I wish, I could, see you, one more, time, I really, hope, so". Seriously???? They talk like this all the time. Not sure if it's an artistic decision or the scriptwriter put too many commas in every sentence
    - there are a few times when I felt like my decisions had no impact at all (even though the game strongly implied that they did)

After finishing episode 1 I felt the story of LIS2 dragged. It's slow. It's not without it's shocking twists and blind corners though.

The story is both a pro and a con. It's quite different to LIS1 in the way it's broader and the scope of events is much more random. It's also a game where your characters travel across the country, whereas the first was set in a handful of locations in the same area. However, this could also serve as a negative regarding the choices you make. I realised after completing the game, and watching all the endings via YouTube, just how divergent each one can be. The consequences of your choices are spread so wide apart that it's impossible to see where it could have gone if you chose different, a problem the first game didn't have. So on one hand it feels like a truly free and unique adventure to the player, but on the other it stunts it a bit just making you wonder what the difference could have been, maybe much like real life.

That said, the mechanics of the game are sound, good graphics that don't need to be overdone, good control, voice acting, lots of background is found within notes and sketches you sift through too. As the story progresses it becomes more emotive making you sense that no real good ending is in sight for the two brothers. Max and Chloe from the first game were swathed in moral dilemmas but it only affected a handful of nearby characters. Daniel and Sean's actions in LIS2 are constantly being investigated by the cops who chase them the whole way. Unfortunately, the boys' inventory backpacks are full of stuff they never seem to use/focus on in this game, which was a shame.

Daniel's 'superpower' is a bit of a cop out for me. Telekinesis is a bit old hat in some ways, but it's done quite well and as you play from Sean's perspective, it brings a new element to the game where you can literally lose control of Daniel and change his attitude as he travels with you.

By the end of the game I realised how much effort had been put into this game to try and scratch up to the first one. The ending stays with you for a while (well, mine did, it was pretty shocking), like all good games. It's certainly not as good, but it's well worth a playthrough as a decent standalone game. To be honest, playing this one before the first one would be better for a new player in some ways.

I say that because for some unknown reason Captain Spirit and Episode 5 are not on the disk. This is a very bewildering decision and the game must lose some review points for that. Now for the actual review.

You are encouraged to play Captain Spirit first. While I found the young Captain to be very likeable and meek with his vivid imagination, his chapter is extremely inane and monotonous with the tasks required to progress. I ended up playing half of it and just skipping forward to the full game.

LIS2 is split into 5 chapters, quite arbitrarily it seems. The graphics feel very familiar if you have played the previous games and I appreciate the somewhat cell-shaded approach like a manga. It really helps that the environment tends to be highlighted well to show where interactions can happen. What bewilders me is the unfriendly layout of the backpack. I guess this is an attempt to make it feel authentic, but I prefer a simple list of items rather than the scattergraph presented when I open the backpack.

The gameplay is also mostly the same mechanics we have seen in previous games. This game adds back in a supernatural element and this can attract or deter people subjectively. For me, I appreciated it as it added an extra flavour to the game, one I felt was lacking in the previous instalment and also not as repetitive as the time-travel mechanic from the first game.

An annoying aspect of the game is occasionally being left with no direction, however exploration is a key element of the game so this may be another subjective gripe. Captain Spirit in particular irked me in this regard. The game follows a largely linear path and this is positive, as the slow movement of our character means that exploration can be slow.

The story, unlike many modern games, is the bread and butter of Life Is Strange. The premise of the story left me sceptical as I couldn't understand why they ran away from home in the first place when the cop shot the father. However the story develops well and I particularly liked the nods to previous games, although a tad cliche. I found that despite supernatural elements it was an authentic story, dealing with prejudice and bigotry especially towards the end. I feel that the road trip approach was taken to avoid the scholarly and domestic themes from the previous games, which may have been a wise choice.

In summary, LIS2 attempts to chart its own course and identity. It achieves this to some degree but also highlights the familiar formula of the series by now. The first game really enamoured me with its originality, however after two further games I grow weary of the formula and am very curious as to how Colours (the next game) will follow on from this.

Just in case I didn't emphasise it enough, having episode 5 as a voucher in the case and not on the disk was a ridiculous move.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

First of all, daniel has no character development whatsoever, he's just an angry little kid who hates everyone and always rely on Sean. Even worse, on a story based game with choices, Sean's decisions do not seem to make any difference, and its always dumb choices, like sleeping with a random girl/guy instead of your brother, and that's somehow motive enough for him to turn in to a bad kid.
I get it, Life is Strange 2 brings political themes to the table, and i don't have a problem with that, but if your game is centered around that idea, and you can't develop it to be more than just a simple Side A versus Side B then sorry, but you failed miserably.

    Quick breakdown
    Graphics/Visuals: Exceeds the original.
Story: Moderately disappointing. As more of a road trip story it lacks as much depth as the first one
Side Characters: All but 2 are pretty 1 dimensional, to the games detriment. Gone is the moral complexity of the first game. A major loss.
Main Characters: The brother is pain in the a$$. It waivers between sympathetic/redeemable, and straight up (Profanity). As he's key to the story, its a definite weakness.
The protagonist: Whiny, effeminate and a bit weak. It colors a lot of environmental observations. You take a lot of blows and unrealistically you can't even try to defend yourself. Not expecting Bruce Lee here, but I know few men who won't want to or try to punch back.
Best episode for me: 3. Strong but kinda harsh opener episode. Episode 2 was a slow burn that never really burned at all. Episode 3 was more of an adventure, with more excitement, more central characters (only time you feel a group dynamic in the whole game). Episodes 4-5 seemed and felt shorter. They were focused on fewer places, but detail level remained consistent with the first 3.
Central themes: Simpler but weaker than the first game.
There just isn't the same central pull as the first game. You can't abandon Danial, as much as you might want to. So its not "protect your brother VS

It is in no way like it's predecessor, it fails to reach the same emotional highs and lows, but the general quality of experience has had an indisputable upgrade.

The characters of Shaun and Daniel are complex and nuanced, depending on how you play. Despite some dodgy voice acting here and there, Gonzalo Martin and Roman Dean George portray brotherhood quite convincingly. The graphics and visuals of the game are absolutely stunning, and Square Enix knows it. There are multiple points in the game where it seems to explicitly say to you "Hey I'm being visually impressive right now, notice me please!", and I do - every time. There are some interesting mini-games and mechanics in between the walking-simulator gameplay and dialogue options that conspicuously fail at convincing you that these characters are real-life teens. If you are into calm, unconfrontational type story games, then this is your cup of tea. The main pitfall of Life is Strange 2 is the story - it falls flat on multiple occasions which sadly includes the anti-climactic ending. Had things wrapped up less predictably, I would have really loved this game.

I think the main problem is people keep comparing Life is Strange 2 to Life is Strange 1, which is unfair as the purpose, tone, and narrative content is completely different. I believe this is a perfectly competent game to binge-play over a weekend, so if you ever see it on sale, you should totally check it out.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters in this game. The morality system was a pretty good idea and i liked how it affected the story. Yes i think Life is Strange 1 is better than 2 , but 2 is still worth to play.

There is no good ending in this game, the endings are simply choosing between bad, bad, bad and bad. The story tries to go somewhere and doesn't in the end. Game is slow, boring and predictable, trust me after getting the platinum trophy/completing the game i immediately proceeded to delete this game and so will you as it will be taking up 66gb that you could use for other games that are far better.

Probably if you didnt play LiS1 you wont stumble upon these things and might like LiS2. The story itself has some potential but was for me at points very annoying and too much stacked with SJW plots. Also the whole story felt like a great depression that got bigger and bigger each episode which was no fun at all for me.

For the positive things, the game lets you choose and it has impacts, but some decisions can be very irritating because what you read and what happens does not always corresponds. Sometimes characters act different to how they reacted before which is sometimes also irritating a lot. I also did not enjoy the huge plot around smoking and drugs, after all this is also a kids game and I personally felt it was way over-stretched. The overpowering use of SJW plots are stereotypes in general felt very overwhelming and at times it did not feel pure to what the DEVs possibly intended to achieve.

The walking speed is very annoying in this title. Also some episode have next to no interactibles. Most of these have no use at all too. There is no world that elaborates with each episode it is more like each episode is a complete seperated slice of the story. You cannot get attached to characters because of that too.

After all I feel sad but I would not recommend this game even on sale. I was just too bored and wanted it to be over. The story is not 100% bad but it is weirdly mixed with too many themes that do not fit together at all and feel like some stereotypical agenda that did not ring for me.

I also preferred the emphasis on brothers sticking together to get to a safe haven to a whiny dweeb using her powers to work things to her favors and to patch a one sided friendship. Here’s hoping the third game blends the best elements of this game with the best elements of the first game. Namely the more engaging story and better gameplay mechanics of the first game with the better characters and better bond between them from this game. Oh and replay value would be much appreciated. I am sad to say that this game was a huge, disappointing mess. Loved the first game, despised this. The three biggest problems for me was 1. You didn’t stay with any of the side characters 2. Sean’s voice actor 3. Daniel. The third being the worst offender. I could not get behind him in any way, shape or form.

Loved LiS 1 so much i played it thrice. Horribly unconvincing voice acting by the two main casts coupled with non existent character development however made this "sequel" such a struggle to get through.

I've never disliked a character as much as Danial before. By far the most exasperating "protaganist" in any form of media I've experienced. His older brother Sean is not much better.

Was reluctant to place this and initially never finished the first episode upon its release, now that I have properly given it it's chance, I realized how wrong I was. Its one of my favorite games and narratives ever. Truly mature and heartbreaking and overwhelmingly politically relevant. Also one of the most complex choice based mechanic in any choice based game yet.

still live up to the hype. very atmospheric, adds to emotional depth for the game. great soundtrack, as always. After completing the game, you will notice that most side characters story doesn't really stick around too much (only appears for some eps) so that's one downside about it. Otherwise, very cool game and I'm glad I finished it. P.S. VERY EMOTIONAL ENDING.

Dontnod doesn't seem to understand what actually made the first game so great.

I can tell you what the first game wasn't. A political / social justice infested mess that focused on forcefully feeding you it's agenda instead of telling a captivating story.

Graphics / Sound / Atmosphere.: Graphics were definitely an upgrade. The style was the same but from a technical perspective it was a nice bump. The music was worse than the first one. It's highly subjective but some of the original soundtracks were just better in the first one.

Gameplay.: The dialog options you choose within the game don't feel impactful at all. Sometimes you will get 2 dialog options that are pretty much the same. There is nothing new compared to the first game. I even think that the first game had way more interesting choices and a more compelling superpower.

Conclusion.: I really think that the first game was better in every single part except the graphics. Stupid characters, boring story, trivial joices. I give it a 10/10 for the wokeness factor however.

    Story / Character Development.: 2/10
    Graphics / Sound / Atmosphere.: 7
    Gameplay.: 4/10

Pacing is really slow compared to the original, but the production quality is superior to Before the Storm. The story is not interesting enough to replay choices like the first one -- just watch the multiple endings on YouTube to save yourself the time. If you can picture LiS 1 but 2x to 3x slower with about 1/5th the number of side characters, you might like this sequel.

We already start the game with a huge sacrifice, all of the game is sacrificing something to survive, and at the end you have to make another huge sacrifice it's not satisfying, pardon my english, as a player.

I'm nkt saying that it had to be a happy ending, its just that doesn't feel right with the choices and all that you lived through the story... Maybe it should ve been called life isn't fair...

    Ps

Next time you should make the player spent more time with the charqcters you think he should care before cutting their contact of their life, like the first episode could ve been all about building these relationships and ending with that big problem... it would ve certainly made me care more about calling my "friend" wich i've seen about 5 minutes in the game more or less..

I love the original game and to lesser extent, Before the Storm. I just really couldn't get into this game though. I'll admit I was a tad bitter about the game using new characters at first, but I decided to treat this game as "it's own thing" rather than a sequel to a pre-existing series.

I just don't find Sean interesting/relatable enough for me to continue playing past what I did. I guess that's mostly what a narrative/choice-making game comes down to that being how you connect with the character of which you are using.

The game makes the word bigger by exploring multiple different states to get to Mexico but doing this actually makes the world seem smaller. There is a reason why the original focused on only Arcadia Bay and most games of this nature and media focus on a few areas.

I wanted to actually go to the party in Episode 1 and meet all of these classmates of Sean's. But, instead it's a lot more empty with usually just Daniel to interact with.

This game almost feels as though they tried to make the exact opposite of the original game in a way. In the original game you're female, go through high school, stay within your town, and are the one with the powers. In this game you're male, skip high school, go everywhere, and your aren't the one with the powers.

And that's another thing to the powers, telekinesis this time instead of the ability to rewind time. Your brother, Daniel is the one with the powers not you. That was a big problem of mine as well. If I'm supposed to be Sean then am I supposed to be jealous of not having these powers?

Telekinesis would be awesome to just randomly pick up things whilst interacting with them in a game like this or it would have at least been something I haven't seen before. I would say make Daniel the main character but he is just 9 and a tad annoying. Maybe Chris would have worked better as the main character?

This game is also a tad salty torwards the original game sometimes almost as if Dontnod (or someone) was fed up with people asking for a sequel.

Either way I look forward to what Life is Strange has set in the future.

Anyone that enjoyed the original Life is Strange and opted not to give a chance to this sequel should reconsider right away. The story may not deliver the same impact or suspense, but this is a poignant narrative that many should find a degree of relatability to, with extremely likeable characters in the form of Sean and Daniel. With the full season discounted often and a new game on the horizon, this is a great time to journey south with the Diaz brothers.

Different from its predecessor, Life is Strange 2 brings more political themes to the table. Protagonist Sean’s little brother Daniel has supernatural powers, but is too young to distinguish between good and evil, and it is up to the player how you want to guide him. While interesting in theory, this results in a gameplay experience based almost entirely on making decisions, and supernatural elements are not put into use as cleverly as in the original Life is Strange. This makes Life is Strange 2 feel like it lacks focus, because most of its political themes are not fleshed out enough, and the ones that do work don’t really need supernatural elements in the first place.
