    Kukoos: Lost Pets is cute, charismatic, fun and challenging. Not everything is as simple or obvious as it seems, and sometimes it will be necessary to take some time away from the game to recover that thirst for a new attempt after so many failures or even to start a new level. It can be a little tiring and not give you that urge to play until you complete it.

    Filled with the Brazilian charisma and inspired by the likes of Crash Bandicoot and Mario, Kukoos: Lost Pets is beautifully done and has a pretty nice gameplay. The only issue is that it has some mechanics limitations (and also the camera could be better). It doesn’t change the overall good experience, though.

    It’s not the most accomplished platformer available on the market, but Kukoos: Lost Pets has that magical formula of generally decent platforming, co-op play and impressive presentation that could make it a favorite this festive season.

If you’re looking for something that’s cute on the surface but a little more complex in its core, the island of Kukoos: Lost Pets beckons.

    It’s not going to redefine what it means to be a 3D platformer, but Kukoos: Lost Pets is a pleasant enough addition that fans of the genre will enjoy. Bright and colourful, and with a nice mixture of collecting, platforming and puzzles, there’s plenty here to keep you invested. It’s just a shame that co-op is held back by some technical issues and its visuals aren’t quite as sharp as they ought to be.

    Kukoos Lost Pets is a short platforming adventure that harkens back to the old days. There isn’t a whole lot of content. In fact, you can easily finish the game in an afternoon. Maybe two afternoons if you’re intent on collecting every coin, flower, and rescuing a pet. A few extra features would have gone a long way to build on the game’s foundation. Using coins to unlock cosmetic options for your character and pets would have been nice. But then again, there’s no real value in sticking around after the story is over unless you’re looking for that Platinum trophy.

    Kukoos: Lost Pets is a decent option for a parent introducing their child to the world of gaming in a low-stakes, cartoonish environment but it doesn’t offer much else besides the lamentable loading times. It’s cute, but there are other games that fill a similar introductory role much better than this one.

However, imprecise controls and a flawed hitbox can detract from the gaming experience. Also, some powerups have a bit of an odd design, not working as well as we'd hoped. If you enjoy a challenge and are willing to deal with these negative points, you can have fun with Kukoos – Lost Pets. But if you're looking for more precise and polished gameplay, you might be better off looking for other options inspired by Crash Bandicoot and similars.… Expand

    one of the worst platformers I've ever played it has serious problem with depth perception
