    Knight's Retreat is a clever stage-based puzzler that uses chess pieces to create an impressively entertaining campaign of puzzles.

    Knight's Retreat offers a good chunk of Chess-themed puzzle action and is based on a clever concept. The execution and presentation are a little weak though which stops the game from being a must-have but puzzle fans should still get some enjoyment from it.

Knight's Retreat is built in the same vein as QUByte Interactive's Unlock the KingAs the publisher states, "A chess game without any chess." Knight's Retreat is built in the same vein as QUByte Interactive's Unlock the King series. Instead of freeing the king chess piece, Knight's Retreat requires the player to shift around chess pieces in order to clear a path for the knight to retreat. The pieces are able to move only in the same direction or ways the actual chess piece can, so some chess knowledge is beneficial.

    With 80 levels of progressively harder gameplay, Knight's Retreat offers hours of gameplay for the $3.99 price tag, with the Steam version coming in a little cheaper. If you enjoy puzzle games and are looking for a new game to experience, give Knight's Retreat a try.    … Expand

    Чаще всего, когда ты покупаешь и скачиваешь игру за 28 рублей, ты не ожидаешь от неë ничего интересно, а зачастую и вовсе игра из себя ничегоЧаще всего, когда ты покупаешь и скачиваешь игру за 28 рублей, ты не ожидаешь от неë ничего интересно, а зачастую и вовсе игра из себя ничего не представляет. И данная игра практически такой и является. Обыкновенная головоломка, которая вообще не стоит твоего времени. Но есть одно НО. Идея использования шахматных фигур для преодаления препятствий лично меня очень заинтересовала. Практически всю игру я прошёл без гайдов и подсказок ( за исключением последних 10 уровней). Игра проходится на одном дыхании под хороший сериал и чашку чая. Такой игры мне однозначно нехватало в библиотеке, а теперь она располагается рядом с Dark Souls, и в любой момент, когда я готов разбить геймпад об стену после очередного босса, можно зайти в эту игру и немного снять напряжение.… Expand
