    This game is something special. I highly recommend the Kingdom series for its unique concept. The game soundtrack really shines out. It was a lot of fun playing through the whole journey.

    Edit: I judged the game too quickly and am updating my score to 9/10. The game is meant to be played in co-op. So much fun playing this with my wife. I do still wish there was an in game encyclopedia explaining game mechanics for noobs, perhaps a stats screen, and that some of the trophies (i.e. "Never Gives Up") were toned down as they are a middle finger to the players disrespecting ourEdit: I judged the game too quickly and am updating my score to 9/10. Hours went by like minutes once my frustration subsided. I have grown to appreciate the complex simplicity of the game. Give it time and it will grow on you...but expect a frustrating couple hours to start.

    Beautiful art, music and ambiance. But gameplay is a riddle. People are still debating on forums how the gameplay rule-set works (i.e. the banker mechanics, how grass grows, why can't I cut trees, etc). Some may like a game with an obtuse ruleset as it encourages experimentation. I did not. I found the game very frustrating to play as I was never able to fully grasp the mechanics of how the various gameplay systems worked...even after combing internet forums. Also, this is a kingdom builder with no statistics screen. I felt blind. How many coins does my banker have? How many people are in my kingdom? How much has my kingdom decayed and where do I need to repair? Again, some may like this. But if I had known how ambiguous everything is I would not have purchased this game. Yesterday I put two hours into building my kingdom across two islands. I found a dog caught in a fallen tree. I saved him. He was my friend. Goblins (called greed) came in the night and stole him away. He never respawns (I learned from internet forums). I died trying to save him. Why are the goblins interested in my dog? They have never shown any interest in anything but gold up to this point? Why game? Why?    … Expand

    This is my all-time favorite game. I love everything about it: the simple controls yet deep strategic gameplay, the beautiful pixel art, the amazing soundtrack, and the pitch perfect sound effects. I’ve never been this addicted to a game. The multiple biomes add variety and depth. The various mounts change the way the game can be approached, adding even more depth.     Found this game looking for pS4 local co-ops, and I am totally blown away. At first it seemed simple and potentially tiresome, but after figuring out some of the seasonal changes and all of the details - it has become my favorite. The graphics take me back to Loom with amazing animations and the score is so well done in capturing the feeling of the ongoing environment changes.     Two crowns is a lovelly strategy game. Great sound effects, amazing pixel art, deep gameplay and huge replay value.

    Kingdom Two Crowns is not for those seeking out a traditional strategy or management game. It merely skirts the edges of the genre to present a unique vision of how this type of game may play out through a different perspective. Intense and difficult moments are often traded out for a serene blend of exploration and discovery. Though it has its pacing frustrations, those keen enough to go out of their comfort zone should find depth and satisfaction in Kingdom Two Crowns.

    Kingdom Two Crowns is an immersive and frequently surprising strategy game that is quite unlike any other. Fans of slow-burning, atmospheric strategy efforts with emergent discovery will find much to enjoy here - as would newcomers to the genre at large.

    Kingdom Two Crowns is a well presented, brilliantly simple strategy game that makes some smart changes to allow more players to get involved. Co-op is handled well, and the straightforward gameplay means almost anyone can try their hand at building their very own kingdom. However, the limited interaction and slow pace might put off some. If you're looking for a relaxed strategy title to lose yourself in, Two Crowns should serve you well.
