It is easy to be the best if you are the only one, but Ubisoft still works hard on its fluorescent dance franchise. It was a good idea to extend the video content so we can watch people dance from all over the world. The introduction of Just Dance Unlimited is still somewhat small, but it has definitely potential to become a Netflix dance game.

Its fresh song list, hilarious dance moves and memorising graphics will keep you and your friends entertained for hours, with some always demanding more each chance they get. Just maybe, be careful what songs you do in front of your parents, or you kids.

After a bad Just Dance 2015, Ubisoft Paris has learned from its mistake and now gives us Just Dance 2016, one of the very best games of the IP with its high quality playlist and its overall generous content. A must-have for fans of musical games.

It's time to dance again, and Just Dance 2016 turns the music on. Songs for everyone, in an iteration of the franchise that goes all out for the social aspects. The fact that you can use a smartphone instead of a camera is yet another success.

Just Dance 2016 is a one trick pony and if you have beers and friends, or children who need to be entertained, it’s a great way to spend a few hours. As a solo game it’s a bit dull and you do start to notice that the tracking of your dancing is dubious to say the least.

Just Dance 2016 is best when playing with friends and family, but it's no more than a mild improvement on the last.

Dancing on the very edge of a recycle bin, Just Dance revamps what's so great about it every year. But the formula might just be losing its momentum, due to repeating.

Fun but flawed, Just Dance 2016 is wildly entertaining with family and friends and offers instant pick-up-and-play appeal, but it needs a serious rethink in terms of its scoring system, track list and identity if it’s to continue to be a success.

For previous Just Dance games you had to use specialized controllers like PS Move; now you can make do with a smartphone. Problem is, when you’re holding the phone in your hand, it’s very hard for it to know what your left leg is doing, so JD 2016 assumes the best and awards you much more score than you deserve. For the first time, my family and I stay at home a saturday night to have fun playing videogames. I bought a PS Camera exclusively for Just Dance 2016. We ordered pizza, get the beer and soda cold, put the furnitures away and play the first song… about 3 hours after we’ve played a lot of songs, including Just Dance Unlimited service — which I needed to buy separately, even I've purchased the Gold Edition.

In our opinion the game can be very fun. BUT it has a lot of little issues that makes it an average product. My general impressions is that the game game is not finished. And here are the reasons:

    1) There is no “setup option”. I needed to go to Playroom in order to set the camera properly. Not even a way to see what is capturing (actually some songs show you with a frame, but that is not enough).

    2) The game only recognizes 1 id. That means only one psn id will got trophies. Besides, while you can create others players, I wasn’t able to select them to play. We needed to get used to “Funky”, “Jazzy” and “Crazy” characters.

    3) I can’t figure it out why Ubisoft let new players to be added in the midst of the song. Why? Why?

    4) The capture of the moves are so inaccurate! I confess I got shocked how inaccurate it is. You may be on the sofa, drinking your beer and still the game grants you “Ok”, “Good” moves…

Conclusion: The game as software is mediocre, but it can offer a fun in a saturday night with friends and family.

I can't believe they have not improved the camera support. It really is no better than JD2014, with my kids frequently giving up from starting a game as it did not pick them up.

When it does start the scoring is a waste of time, regularly giving perfect when your just standing there, and just created arguments when it seemed to flip them over or suddenly dropped them.

The frustrating part is you can see them perfectly in the silhouette, so the camera is picking them up.

Games like playroom work perfectly with the camera, so Just Dance is just lazy development, maybe its Ubisoft as they seem to be constantly throwing out poorly developed games these days.

It's a shame, if the game worked it would be a hit with my kids, but we took it back as its clearly does not work as advertised.

Please soft it out Ubisoft, my kids would love this game if you can fix it.

They are trying to be Netflix or Shomi or whatever streaming service you actually like. At first what I thought was a "thank you fans for your continuous support" was a down right wallet grab. I got this for my nine year, who doesn't understand what line she can use and which lines are for "streaming" ARE YOU **** KIDDING ME???? From this point on I will buy all UBISOFT games as Used games. **** THEM!!! Full Review »
