    I just repurchased this game on the PSN store for my PS4 and I absolutely love it! Unless you own a Switch and can play Mario Kart 8, thereI just repurchased this game on the PSN store for my PS4 and I absolutely love it! Unless you own a Switch and can play Mario Kart 8, there really is no kart racer for PS4 players to enjoy that's actually quite good (that I know of). This game certainly fills that void but I wish there was an online component. Such a shame that wasn't included for the PS4 release.

    The racing is fun. the tracks are all varied and different but I wish there were a few more power ups to pick up but that's just a small gripe of mine. I've not had any problems with the PS4 port, just some frame drop issues when there is a lot of chaos but it's only happened like twice in the 6 - 8 hours I've played so far.    … Expand

    The basis of my opinion is, that compared to the original game, then do the vehicles feels some-what awkward to control.!
    The Handling seems not responsive, in a logical way, especially not when it really matters, in the heat of a combat race!.
    So, its car physics make no sense, most of the time at all!.
    But this do not matter, if the game is fun to play!
    So, is Jak X: Combat Racing fun to play at all, then.?
    - Well.. It probably depends on who you are as a player!
    For me personally, was it not as fun, that I remembered it to be..

    The graphics don't seem to be as sharp as before!.
    The cut-scenes, are all too blurred to look at, particularly here in 2020!
    And that's a damn shame, because i remember it to be a beautiful game, with a sharp image.!
    But that reason, could be due to the original image being magnified on to a large 4K screen!
    I'm not really sure, the reason could also be, that my eye sight are in a bad shape ...

    So, my final advice to you:
    - If you can, then go play the original game.. on the original hardware!!
    The original PS2 version also comes with a lot of other features, that do not exist on this PS4 port!.
    And if you can't find the original game, and have access too a PS2, then play the PS4 version!

    This videogame is a somewhat hidden gem!.
