    A great and charming game with lots of puzzles and beautiful arts. Although, the puzzlez could be more challenging and I wish it had better graphics.

    The best co-op game i have played i enjoy the concept of the story and the characters have great personality i enjoy playing this game every single time this is a piece of art! I love seeing the Swedish inspired house cause the game was made in Stockholm Sweden this game is worth buying.

    It Takes Two is a better version of A Way Out if you ask me. It Takes Two makes me care about the characters more than AWO did, which in itself is a big ask. Some sections were pretty "mid" but they were so incomparably small and insignificant that they wouldn't affect my final score.     I played it with my 11yo, and we loved every minute. It's very cleverly made - each level feels so different from the last, even though the mechanics are essentially the same. It's not too difficult, so great to play with kids, but it's a genuine joy to play and totally unforgettable. The level with the moles was an absolute highlight.

    The gameplay is very fun. I played it with my cousin cause I had nobody else (*wipes away tear*). But boy....that elephant scene is actually **** scarring. The 2 main characters are monsters for that. Seriously. I hated the main characters after that, but honestly I didn't really like them before either.     It takes two is a really nice game for two players with a surprisingly emotional story. But you need a second person with a not so little amount of skills, otherwise you will have a very hard time since it really does take two people to complete each and every challange. The game was lucky to win Game of the Year, 2021 had no real challengers otherwise it would never stand a chance.

    This was the most fun I've had while gaming in a while. The graphics & art are amazing, the gameplay is excellent and the story is decent enough. The little minigames in between also add a nice little distraction from the main story and add to the diversity of the gameplay.     The creativity in this game is unparalleled. I played it with a buddy of mine and we were laughing are butts off because of the things you could do in this game (whether it was planned by the developers or not)
    A lot of challenging minigames, great puzzles, great story, great bossfights, a lot of nods to other games, just all in all a very fun and lengthy game. I'd say 20+ hours of gameplay.

    Longevo il giusto.

    You can see that this game is made with love, this game is an example why video games are form of art. Everybody should try this game. I was a little bit suspicious when it was pronounced GOTY, but i played it and i say that it is absolutely deserved.

    This is one of the most funnier video games that i ever played, the story is original and even beeing not the better part of the experience, is kinda interessing. The fact that this game is maded for playing with a friend makes him so original and had a very different gameplay form the majority of the games that are launched nowdays

    The only real issue I have with this game is that the story is mostly (except that one part, you know the one) generic and un-memorable. Controls are fantastic, gameplay is fantastic, I recommend this game to just about everyone. A really great follow up to "A Way Out" that allows for new video game players to experience the magic that a lot of more serious players seek.

    A game which is absolutely not even a bit my tipical genre, but the ambient it creates playing with your significant other / friend is phenomenal.

    This game is the undoubtedly the best choice you can make, if you plan to introduce someone into gaming, who wouldn't do it by themself.

    The absolute perfect game to play with someone who doesn’t game often. I played it with my girlfriend and we had a blast! The gameplay changes all the time, and the game manages to be challenging while being very forgiving. I really enjoyed this one, I hope more couch multiplayer titles come along!

    This is a great game. The authors managed to create a game that is simple to play, but still never gets repetitive. The story is touching and it makes you care about the characters a lot. My girlfriend and I loved playing it.

    It Takes Two was visually both very cute but also very beautiful; I just love how unique and intricate each chapter was from each other, I think visually the best chapters were the Cuckoo Clock, Snow Globe, and Attic chapters and the most fun chapters to me were the Snow Globe and Rose's Room chapters. The sheer amount of different genres of games they incorporated into this game was awesome. I also really loved how they contrasted the more cartoony style of the game and the humor with a very deep story and beautiful message, the story was very well written. The performances from Joseph Balderrama and Annabelle Dowler were superb. The music was excellent. An A+ game and one of my top 5 favorite games I've ever played.… Expand

    Im not joking this was the christmas game i was always hoping for, I played it with my girlfriend and we had such a blast and we will also replay it since it it FULL of amazingly polished mechanics, It takes tow does a lot and they do ALOT AMAZING. I say it is my favorite couch co-op game ever made. Next game that is comparable amazing is Broforce which is also so much fun with friends on a couch.

    Simply incredible! The platforming is fantastic, the mechanics are varied and great fun, the story is both touching and fun. At times it feels like playing a pixar movie. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice by missing out on this one. It's a must buy for sure!

    Pretty outdated graphics, animation like it's 10 years old. However, I give a rating of 9 as an encouragement to the Creators for creating a forgotten type of game for two people on a console.     This game should easily get game of the year, I enjoyed every minute of it and played it 3 times, the levels are not copied each level is new story unlike other games. If you haven't played this game I highly recommend it!

    Кто хочет с девушкой или другом нереально крутой кооператив на 10-20 часов - 100% не ошибетесь. Перечислять достоинства нет смысла, просто начните играть и вы сами все поймёте.    Лучшая кооперативная игра на 2х человек, что я играл. Отличный геймплей, классная графика, достойный сюжет.

    This game is a GEM. I haven't been so much into a game for many years. Regarding the gameplay- there are so many new ideas integrated, the game is so much fun and I can't believe how much NOT repetitive. The levels design is gorgeous.

    I love it! I'm buying all of the studio's other games.

    If you have a partner, PLAY THIS GAME.
    Creative levels with good dialogue with 0 repetition. The graphics are good, sound design is good, characters are good, the platforming mechanics are good. There's only 1 problem tho, the glitches. Sometimes stuff happen that make me unable to continue the game so I have to reload to the last checkpoint but still one of the best games ever and    If you have a partner, PLAY THIS GAME.

    Amazing co-op game! At first I kept seeing all the ads for the game and it didn't peak my interest, but I heard some people say good things about it. Convinced my friend to play it with me and we both loved it.

    One of the best co-op games in a long time.

    The gameplay is smooth, the graphics are pretty (I dont need every single game to be hyperrealistic) and of course: fun. If I had to describe It Takes Two with one word it would be that one.     A great storyline, combined with good and varied game mechanics. This game kept me and the wife coming back night after night to keep playing. Wholly recommended!

    Incredible game! My ten year old son and I played this game through in three nights for maybe 6 hours at a time. The way the levels progress and change pulls you in and keeps you constantly entertained. The story is well written with a messege of love throughout and the music is beautiful. We had so much fun and laughs playing this game. Incredibly satisfied. If you want to play a gameIncredible game!     One of the best if not the best Co-op games around. Every section has new gameplay gimmicks that are fun and engaging. The variety offered in this game is quite astounding really. The story can be divisive. I liked the back n forth between a divorcing couple AND I really enjoyed some of the darker elements of the story.

    A massive step up from A Way Out which was an impressive game itself but this takes it to another level altogether. Amazing level design, fantastic gameplay mechanics and a very good story overall despite a somewhat abrupt disappointing ending. I was very surprised with how much this game has to offer in terms of content as I racked up roughly 15 hours on my first playthrough.     My wife and I loved this game. It was the first time since Overcooked that she was demanding we play this instead of me playing solo in other games.

    Incredible graphics, music, zero bugs on launch and a funny lead character makes this game a 10.

    Don’t be deterred if you want to play this with a friend! This is NOT just a couples game. Friends and family alike can play this game together and truly enjoy the stunning detail put into this game. I’m surprised more studios don’t follow this tactic, it’s AMAZING and I will now be checking out a Tale of Two Brothers and A Way Out.

    One of those games that makes you log into Metacritic immediately after playing it just to tell everyone how mind blown you were by it. Just wow! Hats off to the entire development team. Must play for anyone who has a second player who can play video games decently to some degree and not hold the other person back.

    Got to play this with my son! Best video game I’ve ever played! I recommend this game to anyone wanting to play with family members it definitely brings you closer. It’s just one of those games!

    What an incredible game. It starts with one wow and that's keeps coming. Never seen so much details in evironment and actions in a game. It never gets boring. This will be one to remember and I hope that Hazelight studios keep coming with more games!

    Sublime 2AA so far in the year it's my GOTY sublime history line and the idea of continuous co op is mesmerizing a sure investment.

    Perfect co-op fun! The game looks awesome and game play is creative and fun. Story line is a bit mad but it doesn’t spoil the game.

    I had to create a Metacritic account just to review this game. It Takes Two is a great game to play especially with friends and family. The missions, the mini games, the co-op and the story line was all done perfectly, I never felt bored or annoyed during any part of the game.     It Takes Two takes the tried and true action/adventure-puzzler genre and turns it into possibly the most collaborative split-screen co-op game ever created. Coupled with the presented marital issues between the main characters that make for fantastic springboards to discuss with your own Player 2, It Takes Two will strongly resonate with just about anyone who picks up a controller. Although character development was a bit lacking and the story somewhat sluggish, these issues do not diminish the incredibly imaginative level design and supremely enjoyable boss battles. If you’re looking for a case study in co-op puzzle games that deserves to define the genre going forward, grab a partner and pick up It Takes Two.
