This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game consists of 15 hours of play and is very addictive, whilst in battle you are given a combination of cards and turns, each turn consists of more and more turns with the maximum of 6 giving you the opportunity to use logic to maximize your turn in order to destroy your enemies, cards consists of the following:
    Death cards
    Hit cards
    And defense cards
The difference between this card game and others is that you can hack yours or your opponents decks using ways to disable their defence and increase your maximum hits you have to constantly play using your head rather than button mashing and requires a lot of thought, with each completed tournament the next gets harder and harder making the enemy ai more difficult in order to make battles a lot more taxing.
For completionists the main single player mode gives you 15 hours + a quota that I have gone above and beyond with, though the new characters look fun I always stick to one single character and level up, which you can do in single player mode before you face your next opponent (which is a godsend) and after tournament completion which you can use to upgrade your robot's abilities, I use this mostly to help increase my robots life among anything else.
Now as always on this show I give the games I review a 1 to 5 and insane robots on the PlayStation 4 gets an awesome 5 out of 5
If you’re looking for your next indie title I would Give insane robots ago, currently priced at 20 pounds in the UK and 20 dollars in the us you will get a rather addictive turn-based battler which anyone could pick up from the word go!

Insane Robots is a neat little game. It's well-presented and easily-accessible, something for everyone but the simple, lite card battles will not keep most people entertained for long.

A fun diversion with a few neat ideas, but ultimately there's far too little substance to its battles. [Issue#333, p.72]

The game needs more meat on its bones.
