    I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy this, but I’m glad I did. Most important- this game is FUN! It’s much more lighthearted than Ubisoft’s AC games. The graphics are great- on the PS4 Pro. The combat is fun. The bosses are challenging. The puzzles are fun- but there’s a lot of them. Hints for the game- definitely max out your health bars and potions to be able to beat the final boss. GetI wasn’t sure if I was going to buy this, but I’m glad I did. Most important- this game is FUN! It’s much more lighthearted than Ubisoft’s AC games. The graphics are great- on the PS4 Pro. The combat is fun. The bosses are challenging. The puzzles are fun- but there’s a lot of them. Hints for the game- definitely max out your health bars and potions to be able to beat the final boss. Get the god skill to control the speed of Apollo’s arrow- it will be helpful toward the end of the game. Of course also level up your stamina. Also get a horse early on for speed of travel. The game isn’t overly long at about 23.5 hours, and the map isn’t too large to be cumbersome. Overall a very good & fun game that I’d recommend!… Expand

    Played 77 hours and got the platinum trophy so i had to revise my review a little bit. The open world of this game is mostly fun and was addicting for me; to level up my gear, skills and powers. I found the vaults of tartaros or 'rifts', very frustrating. There are probably about 50 of these vaults in the game and some are    Slightly more platformer than RPG. Especially the vaults.
    Played 77 hours and got the platinum trophy so i had to revise my review a little bit. The open world of this game is mostly fun and was addicting for me; to level up my gear, skills and powers. I found the vaults of tartaros or 'rifts', very frustrating. There are probably about 50 of these vaults in the game and some are required to progress the story. Though frustrating, I ended up finishing more than the 25 vaults required for a trophy.
    It is worth mentioning the fact that the longer I played, the more likely that something in game would not render correctly, removing a vital piece (usually a structure) that I needed to advance.
    Unclog the waterwheels is the mission where I noticed this happening repeatedly. I had to save exit and restart my game in order for the clogged water wheels to be there.
    Another mission required me to ignite 4 furnaces, game had only rendered one in there for me. Needless to say I wandered around a lot trying to find things that were not even there, yet! Lame
    I would like more than 20 manual save slots and
    I would like for run to be L3, why does L3 do nothing?    … Expand

    Coming straight out of Assassins Creed Valhalla, a game that for me felt so dull and pointless, except for the ending of the modern day story, I was not looking forward to jumping back in another Ubisoft game. I thought, "Here we go again." And, in some ways, I did catch myself thinking, "Oh, this looks familiar, this looks re-skinned." A lot of it looked and felt familiar, but not similarComing straight out of Assassins Creed Valhalla, a game that for me felt so dull and pointless, except for the ending of the modern day story, I was not looking forward to jumping back in another Ubisoft game. A lot of it looked and felt familiar, but not similar to other Ubisoft games, however, to one Nintendo game that I do not even need to name. We all know it, as it was one of the greatest games of all time. Immortals: Fenyx Rising might be a rip off. It might blatantly take so many design choices and game play features from a certain Nintendo game. But... you know what? Personally, I don't care. I rather enjoyed this game!

    What I really loved about this game is the pacing of everything. Again, coming out of Valhalla I could immediately feel the difference in pacing. I am referring to story, exploration and of course, loot! The game play and activities are fun, no doubt, but the overall plain fun and charm that Fenyx Rising has is what holds this game far above ValHalla, which I also gave a 7 out of 10.

    So you may be wondering. How can Fenyx Rising and Valhalla get the same overall score but one be far better than the other? Well, it all depends on how you personally rate a game. One important factor is what the game intended on setting out and accomplishing. Did it accomplish that? Fenyx Rising certainly accomplished what I think the developers at Ubisoft wanted this game to be. While Valhalla, on the other hand, did not accomplish those things.

    If you loved Zelda Breath of the Wild, OOPS, I finally said it... if you loved BOTW, and you like playing other games that borrow heavily from it, then you are in for a fun ride here. If you despise games that rob BOTW of what makes it so astonishing, then do yourself a favor and stay away from this game.    … Expand

    On another hand, combat feels like AC but without any kind of punch. It's also very easy (if a chore).

    The "puzzles" aren't : it's basic, ridiculously easy to understand but sometimes tricky to do given the controls but that's it. I dread having to waste more time with that crap.

    The world is big and colorful, but empty : the tasks/quests are repetitive and uninspired. Do the same easy task for the nth time and get basically two cents for it. Do it a few more time and you can get some marginal improvement of your character.

    A few minutes after the start of the game, I wanted to shut-up the "storytelling". I understand they are meant to be humorous. They are not. I'm not sure they are even fit for a 12 year old : childish sex allusions, fart-level jokes and other witless attempts at being amusing. Couldn't they find dialogs with a bit more variety and imagination? Maybe hire a professional with a sense of humor for a start?

    There is also some NPC that stays at your "camp". It is always suggesting to spend money in the shop. I've tried to kill it : no way.
    Cutting the voices is an improvement.

    As for the characters look weird. For some reason the male hero has a kind of softness in his face, his eyes remind me of a maiden in love, he is girly. I want to punch him every time.
    If I could I'd erase his eyes, nose, mouth : make it a blank empty face. It would feel way better.

    This game feels aimed at a younger audience. Given the void of real content and that constant suggestion to buy from the shop, I don't think it's even appropriate.

    In a nutshell : it's garbage. Given the time, there are way better games to chose from.

    Can't believe this game has such good reviews. This game is complete UTTER TRASH. I usually love games like this i loved the puzzles in Zelda botw but the puzzles were SO EXCESSIVE REPETITIVE AND not hard but a huge PAIN what a grind its more like a puzzle game than an open world rpg

    It's finally published. The name has only been changed and development time has been added.
    The end product is only mediocre. Why? Do you know Genshin Impact? The game reminds me of that so strongly.
    Had it come a year earlier, the surprise effect would have been much higher.
    Now all you have is a nice game at an overpriced price.
    It's only worth € 30-40 for me.

Others - like when i jump down a cliff mid combat and climb it up again, that after this all enemies no matter where i stand run to the bottom of the cliff - are just weird. Last bug gets more and more frustrating when legendary animals just run out of their arena over and over. I could tell of a ton more bugs, but why spoil the fun of a unintentional bug hunt? Lastly the controls: In the beginning i liked how "precisely" I could control Fenyx - even flying. But later I had to notice, that some puzzles require really precise flying, waiting in upstreams to gain hight or plain waiting in front of an obstacle to move around, which is almost impossible with the controlls.

    After playing some more, I consider the fighting in the game just plain bad. Enemies dont really get more challenging the further you get into the game, they just become bigger and bigger damage-sponges. That's how not to do combat and balancing. Dissappointing, mostly because the fighting seemed pretty good during the first few hours.

    Over all the game could have been so great, and indeed in a weird way it is, but the bugs totally destroy the game for me and leave my behind in a weird state of total dissappointment over a game i hyped a lot and still some fun while playing. In the current state - until many bugs get fixed - the game is nothing but mediocre.    … Expand

    I am playing this game with my son and from my perspective it's a good game, he loves it. It's a typical open world action RPG. Both combat and puzzels are good, but quite easy to win/solve - all though satisfying. The graphics look very good on a PS4 pro with 4k and HDR. The story so far (about 10hrs) is entertaining and we have never been bored :) Great game to play with kids is myI am playing this game with my son and from my perspective it's a good game, he loves it. It's a typical open world action RPG. Both combat and puzzels are good, but quite easy to win/solve - all though satisfying. The graphics look very good on a PS4 pro with 4k and HDR.     Zeus needs help, the greek gods are in trouble, all of the mortals are stone.. except for one of course.. you… you creae your character and its off to helping zeus and the rest of the gods in this open world puzzle game… and if there weren’t such a large emphises on the puzzle part, this game as series has such great potential… for starters this world is beautiful, though there are crashing issues is you play in pretty mode vs the run better mode on the playstations 5… here youll be running around, collecting items to craft consumables, find gear, and collect shards to upgrade your gear and character, run around and complete tasks for the different gods and gain new abilities.. if it stopped there I would be fine, run around this opwen world with sections that feel and look different enough reperesenting each god you help… all while the game hilariously narrates for you… a real highlight… I could’ve loved immortals fenyx.. but its insistence to try and be a breath of a wild clones, sucked away all of its charm and left immortals fenyx risings feeling like a good.. yet soulless game… its cookie cutter, and what were left with if unfun combat, and boring drug out puzzles.. the vaults are half of the game and theyre just awful.. they have their moments of being fun brain teasesers… but these puzzles show up way too frequently in your 13 plus hour journey… and I dreaded them every time.. im not a big fan of puzzles in general… but when theres essentially puzzle rooms vs environmental puzzles, I hate it even more… just let me build up my charcters, sneak around, tame and kill things while my boy zeus makes awful jokes.. that’s all I wanna do… but fenyx rising sortve blows its load for me.. if you’ve played journey to the savage planet.. it’s the same kind of thing… youre smacked with charm, mystery and immersion.. and then everything else feels lackluster in ocmparision to the greatness the adventure starts with…
    While I can appreciate that this is objectively a good game that plenty will love… for me this was a game that kept throwing school work at me when all I wanted to do was play at recess… and once I get out to recess its like oh, its raining.. youre playing in the gym today, not the playground like youre used to doing.. meaning that this world is just a chore to even get around in.. the whole stamina whil you run, climb, swim, and soar thing can be fun if done right.. its not done right here.. its annoying and just makes traversal not fun.. . but I am again just speaking for myself.. for me the combat gt stale fast, the traversal becomes annoying fast, and the puzzles get annoying boring and overwhelming fast… what am I doing playing this?
    for a lot of people though theyre hearing this review being all like. Yeha this is what I want, imam buy this right now.. I get it.. tis a good game, just not for me.

I'm happy to say that it instead is a fun, satisfying and all-round solid adventure that’s well worth your time. What it does borrow from other games, it implements them so well it doesn't feel like a knock-off at all. The comedic tone the game has is alsoUpon first glance, you might dismiss Immortals Fenyx Rising as a bland, standard Ubisoft open world game. But looks can be deceiving. I'm happy to say that it instead is a fun, satisfying and all-round solid adventure that’s well worth your time.     THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!! So fun and the graphics are top notch! On the PSPro this game looks next generation and the silly, stupid story just works so well. Fighting is great and the combo's can deal some serious fast damage once you upgrade the right attacks. Don't listen regarding the "cut and paste" comments this is Zelda on PS and it is similar to AC.....it is completely it's own gameTHIS GAME IS AWESOME!!! So fun and the graphics are top notch!     This horribly titled game is very fun to play. The setting makes for an interesting spin on the open-world genre and I appreciate the amount of variety of stuff to do. Most of the puzzles are simple, but very satisfying to solve. You can make the combat easier and turn on clues for some puzzles. The look of the game is gorgeous and a breath of fresh air considering how dark and dire most open world games can be. The story sucks, the premise of playing with Greek mythology is largely wasted because of adherence to cliches and simplified characters. Greek mythology has a lot of layers that allows for interpretation, this game dumbs it down to a very basic and literal understanding. The dialogue is downright cringey most of the time; it's aimed towards a younger audience but isn't playful enough to be engaging and isn't real enough to be believable. I really dislike that they made Aphrodite a ditzy blonde, it's so insulting. Actually overall, the game has a pretty high level of sexism in the dialogue, though they try to disguise it as humor. So yeah. Fun to play tho.… Expand

    I absolutely loved this game - solid combat, exploration of vast areas and a good story that doesn't take itself too seriously. There's many hours of gameplay here so you'll definitely get your money's worth. One of the best releases of 2020

    I had the big N console with zelda on it before i switched;) to ps4 and then ps5. I legit enjoyed this game more then the green elf one more. Maybe something wrong with me? No sure, but this game actually good and fun. Very stupid name tho

    A really enjoyable game that I’ve spent about 20 hours in so far and have no idea where the time has gone. Only down side is sometimes the controls are a bit unresponsive and some of the puzzles are a pain.

    It's like Assassin's Creed meets Saints Row but in a PG environment. The dialog is pretty hilarious so far and I'm digging the freedom to just roam around and do as I pleas. E. If you liked Assassin's Creed Odyssey, you'll love this game.

    История рассказанная в игре звёзд с неба не хватает, но она вполне интересная, целостная и самое главное не надоедает до самого конца. Кажется, вот уже всё, интересное позади, а нет игра снова подкидывает интересный поворот. Может это спойлер, но когда в конце тебе говорят, что впереди последний босс и войдя возврата не будет, обычно это означает последний бой и конец, но и тут нет. Впереди меня ждали ещё несколько часов увлекательного геймплея.
    Теперь о прокачке. И она мне понравилась больше чем в той же Zelda. Не мудрёная, но и не такая плоская как в BotW. Качаться не перестаёшь до самого окончания игры. Кстати по миру можно бродить и после окончания сюжета.
    Боёвка же, досталась скорее от Ассасина. Удар быстрый, мощный, блок, отскок и супер удары (в игре это дары богов) которых здесь много. Да ещё о сложности. Она здесь просто невероятная, если ставить выше среднего.
    Игра обширна, хотя карта не сильно велика в ней не заскучаешь. И при том на харде игра занимает какие то смешные 6 ГБт!
    Очень порадовали "подземелья тартара", это такие головоломки как святилища в Зельде. Но в отличие от последней они какие то невероятно огромные и при том все разные. Вообще загадок в игре уйма, даже взять большинство сундуков это загадка.
    Теперь об атмосфере. Как я говорил она мне напомнила Принца 2008 года. Такая красивая сказка из которой не хочется выходить.
    Есть один недостаток, ну лично для меня, не очень большая разновидность рядовых противников. Да есть боссы их достаточно они все размещены по сюжетным локациям. Но вот супер противники на поверхности это, по сути, те же монстры которые ходят неподалёку, только со огромной шкалой здоровья и именем собственным.
    Некоторые рецензии построены на опыте в игре менее 20 часов! Чушь! У меня ушло на более менее полное прохождение больше 65 часов и это я ещё не прошел все подземелья и сундуки!
    Советую всем. Попадите в сказку смешных греческих богов. Отдохните от ужасов реального мира.    … Expand

    Immortals Fenyx Rising is hands down the most pure, joyful FUN I have had with a video game in 2020, and maybe 2019 as well. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve played some great games in that span—some with tighter combat mechanics or a better story or deeper characters—but none that was more fun.

    It’s Breath of the Wild meets Greek myth with an Aesthetic inspired by Studio Gibli and emotional    Immortals Fenyx Rising is hands down the most pure, joyful FUN I have had with a video game in 2020, and maybe 2019 as well. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve played some great games in that span—some with tighter combat mechanics or a better story or deeper characters—but none that was more fun.

    It’s Breath of the Wild meets Greek myth with an Aesthetic inspired by Studio Gibli and emotional undertones of an animated Disney film. The game is absolutely gorgeous. This is the kind of game where you want to walk/fly around just to feast your eyes. The music is, for the most part, pretty great too. It’s a joy just to be in this world, full monsters and myths and challenges and puzzles (so many puzzles—seriously, this game is a real puzzler). And after the prologue, it’s fully open, meaning you can play any way you want to. If you love the arrow challenges and fresco puzzles but hate the constellation puzzles, you can usually do what you like and skip what you don’t. What the world lacks up in size it makes up in density: around just about every corner is puzzle hiding some kind of reward, and you can engage that puzzle or not, for as long as you want. Or you can just go fight some monsters, or climb a mountain, fight an optional boss, collect power-up items and gear to strengthen your character, learn new godly powers… and maybe at some point proceed with the story.

    The story is not the game’s strong point, and I don’t think it’s meant to be. After the prologue, I played for about 20 hours just exploring and having fun before I finally got back to the next main story quest. And I took lots of breaks from the main story after that too. I can’t help but feel that the game is meant to be paced this way. I played 70 hours total and finished with dozens of vaults and challenges still left incomplete. If you’re just rushing through the main story, you’re missing the game, IMHO.

    Not that the main story is bad, exactly: Typhon, a Titan, is trying to take down the Greek Gods and you, the unlikely hero Fenyx, need to help restore some of them to power. It’s all kind of goofy and silly, sometimes genuinely funny, sometimes kind of cringey. The Gods themselves are larger than life, often oafish, and the game really emphasizes the way they all function as an extremely dysfunctional family. Fenyx, meanwhile, has a heart of gold. The occasional moment of mean-spirited humor aside, the story overall has the kind of relentless emotional earnestness that makes Disney movies a household name. Immortals Fenyx Rising lite fare as stories and characters go … but lite fare enables the overall tone of light-heartedness that pervades the game and adds to its joy.

    There was only one big letdown for me, and that was the game’s final five hours or so. The game teases you with what looks like a giant mountain area that you can’t access until later on. Because the rest of the game was constituted by such excellent open world design, it’s easy to assume this final area will be a similar garden of treasures. Not so. It turns out the final area is a linear path with only one “right” way to go, and several mandatory puzzles. It has secrets and off-shoots along the way, but at the end of the day, there is only one way to climb that mountain. This marks a radical shift in game design that feels like a betrayal of everything that came before. Slogging up that mountain was not super-fun, and made the final vault, with its final round of mandatory puzzles, feel like more of a grind than it would have otherwise.

    But the frustration of the linear endgame ultimately was not enough to tarnish the joy that this game brought me. I LOVED Immortals Fenyx Rising. Getting to sink into this world for a week after all the hardships of 2020 seriously felt like therapy for me. Like, I’m a better, happier person because of this game. And that is not something I say often. Thank you, Ubisoft, for giving us this gem.    … Expand

    FetchQuest boring UbiSoft as usual Game, with horrorble Physics and Bosses that respawn with full health when you dont stay on certain small areas. WTF? Bug? Nope...UbiSoft!!!

    Hands down on of my favorite games of the genearation. If you love a open world to explore and cool monsters this is for you.

    Immortals Fenyx Rising is one of the best adventures of the year, with one of the most beautiful and spectacular open worlds of the last decade, earning a place on the podium of the genre. The exploration is organic, the map is packed with activities to do, the skill tree is vast and truly useful, and the combat is some of the best I've seen in the genre.

    It’s hard to know which is more impressive here, the complete lack of shame in how much Ubisoft copies Zelda: Breath Of The Wild or the fact that Immortals suffers the comparison so impressively well.
