    Once you’ve gotten over the thrill of assembling burgers, dishing out fries, pouring drinks, and serving ice cream, you’ll fall into the grind. What I’m Hungry lacks is progression, and that means you’ll have seen everything on the menu once you’ve completed the first level. There’s fun to be had, but this is more “value meal” than a full course.

    Whether you prefer queso or hot sauce on your burger, you're bound to have some simple fun with running a food truck in I'm Hungry.

    Repetitive, endless grinding and a lack of rewards spoil what could have been a fun experience. Its presentation is nice and its VR implementation is good; otherwise, there are better culinary titles on the platform. Unless you are starving for VR food-based content, spend your hard earned cash elsewhere. There is fun to be had but it's in very small doses buried under monotonous, basic food preparation.

    I’m Hungry could’ve been PS VR’s answer to Overcooked. Sadly, all it offers is an empty grind and stomach-churning monotony that does not leave us hungry for more. [Issue@166, p.87]
