Silly, smart, and rewarding, all at once. [July 2016, p.85]

Human Fall Flat is a funny puzzle game. The puzzles are diverse and complex, but not too tough. Don't play too much at once though, because Human Fall Flat can become a bit boring.

Hilarious and empowering, even if it is frustrating at times, Human: Fall Flat is definitely worth at least one play through.

Human Fall Flat could possibly be the next big goofy indie game with odd controls and it's also one of the most enjoyable cooperative physics-based puzzlers around. Just make sure your patience is in check before you Fall Flat.

As a single-player, Human: Fall Flat can be repetitive and frustrating. Bring in a friend and you can have a hilarious experience full of enjoyable physics puzzles.

In this reviewer’s humble opinion, you should give Human: Fall Flat a go on PlayStation 4 if you enjoy clever puzzles and platforming, enjoy open-ended physics-based gameplay in a bite-sized package – and have the patience to engage with purposefully challenging movement controls. A big pro to the game is when you have a couch co-op partner to blast through the level-based experience – because while the creativity of the levels remain while playing alone, progression just isn’t as fun as it is when you’re watching your mate fall to their death for the hundredth time because of your cheeky sabotage.

You can smash, grab, pull, push and doing some other stuff. Things don't come easy, though: Human: Fall Flat is a challenging game with a difficult system control, something in between Goat Simulator, The Talos Principle and Surgeon Simulator. A game that can be fun and frustrating at the same time.

I laughed along with Human: Fall Flat much more than I’ve done so with a game for a very long time. By putting a little more finesse and care into building the parameters of its goofy concept, it’s far more enjoyable than your average “Gabe Newell Physician Simulator 5000” found on the daily sales page of Steam, making this purchase well worth its slightly steeper asking price.

Human: Fall Flat seems like the kind of game that was conceived at a party where someone asked “what would it be like to control a character who’s already drunk?” Unfortunately, the game falls a wee bit short in terms of depth and gameplay.

Human: Fall Flat enthusiastically proclaims its commitment to unscripted creativity, but in reality, it’s reading from the teleprompter. As a linear puzzle game, this is an enjoyable experience, but it offers little of what makes physics-based games enticing.

At first, Human: Fall Flat's nutty concept and unique visual style make it seem fresh and interesting. After a couple of hours, however, frustration kicks in and the game's flaws start floating to the surface.

Human: Fall Flat has may great ideas and its puzzles are well designed, but technical issues and a quite frustrating control prevent it from being a better game.

Human: Fall Flat is a reasonably enjoyable puzzle platforming experience – especially if you bring a buddy along for the ride. Although its wacky controls and simplistic visuals may trip it up along the way, its solid variety of puzzles and beautiful music stop it from falling flat on its face.

It may seem as though you are playing Bob's dream but from my perspective it felt like I was experiencing a real-life nightmare. Each level felt like a grind and every time they just got larger and more intricate. Not too many games also defeat my spirit but Human: Fall Flat did just that. When talking about it with my coworkers they asked if there was co-op. There is however I wasn't fortunate enough to share the delights of this game with someone else. I can see though where it might be easier to share the load of frustration but also team together to complete certain puzzles. I however wouldn't submit any of my friends to such torture.

Human: Fall Flat has some good moments but it is let down by its own premise. Wonky controls become a nagging frustration and there is little reward for playing alone. Add a second player and things get more interesting. This is best picked up if you are a budding streamer or fancy some couch coop. Otherwise, like the title suggests, it just falls flat.

The final 2 levels took me hours and hours to complete -- not because the puzzles were difficult to solve; they were quite simple -- but because I couldn't get my human to do what I wanted him to. This game is a test of patience and your own sanity as you fight the infuriatingly frustrating controls. I'd imagine the game would be more forgiving with friends, but I couldn't even play online with my friends like is possible in the PC version. I do not recommend as a single player game. The Game does too
Human Fall Flat is a Physics based puzzle game where you control both arms separately of a blob like character…
You look around with the light stick, move with the left, press buttons, pull items, and platform to progress through this 3 and a half hour long game…
And if you fall or die you fall or respawn right where you were which is nice... no having to repeat puzzles or re throw switches or pull items…
The first few levels here are pretty short and my actual preferred levels…
These levels really just introduce the mechanics and physics of the game, and slowly teaches you new moves like how to climb…
    And the length was perfect...
It was satisfying completing these levels and then from the castle onward, the game just becomes a chore…
There are some pretty neat physics puzzles here, none will give you much trouble in terms of figuring it out…
and if you do run into trouble you can look for a remote to give you a clue..
the challenge here is in the executing your solution…
the physics feel as you’d expect them too…
but there are definitely frustrating moments especially when it comes to climbing or trying to reach higher ledges…
    No story here,
There isn’t really much to this game other than moving awkwardly through environmental puzzles..
And I enjoyed most of my time with it...
But the final 2 levels were like pulling teeth...
I was just over the game by then as the levels get larger as you go and they drag on for what feels like forever…
Human Fall Flat would’ve been a great experience with a bunch of short levels stacked on top of each other..
But overall suffers from final stretch pacing problems...
    I give Human Fall Flat
    a 6.0/10

I bought this at it's full price to sit and play with my fiancee to have a quick laugh then maybe get a few friends to play it over again together, well the first half worked out fine but turns out there is zero online multiplayer for console versions. Not only this but the console versions seems to just not be supported by the developers now, the steam version is getting updates and new character skins left and right but there has not been a single one for PS4. So not only are you paying it's full price for essentially half the features, but the game itself is incredibly short if you have half a working brain, and possibly the most unfitting soundtrack I have ever heard. It's meant to be a goofy and light hearted puzzle game, but the soundtrack is serious and somewhat depressing. Honestly it would be better if they had not put any music in at all, this along with no updates, and zero online multiplayer makes it sort of a pathetic port, just buy it on sale through steam then hook up a HDMI to your computer and TV, at least that way you get the FULL GAME.
