May 11, 2023Old fashioned arcade racer with Virtua Racing style graphics that harks back to the likes of the early Burnout games and Ridge Racer. The game it reminded me of most is old PS2/PSP racer Outrun: Coast To Coast and has a similar feel and differing modes to choose from. It's a little shallow by today's standards but is one of those games that's good for a quick blast from time to time.

Oct 7, 2020Hotshot Racing is a great retro racing game inspired by the 90's classics like Virtua Racing, Daytona USA or Scud Race with tons of fun, especially in its multiplayer modes, only overshadowed by slightly disappointing AI.

Sep 15, 2020Hotshot Racing feels like a nice throwback to the arcade era, back when SEGA was dominating with the likes of Daytona USA. The game is clearly retro in its gameplay, and it's quite refreshing to be able to escape the current trend of hardcore sims.

Sep 15, 2020High on speed and low on polygons, Hotshot Racing is a super-saturated, old-school ode to the golden era of early ’90s 3D racers. Drawing oodles of inspiration from acclaimed coin-op kings like Virtua Racing, Daytona USA, and Ridge Racer, Hotshot Racing is confident, quick, and boasts a cracking arcade handling model, although its tracks are mostly simple and cause it to quickly lose a bit of steam as a single-player experience.
