    This game is truly amazing. 1 thing that is done so well is you never feel restricted as a player. You always have full control over your character with the exception of cutscenes. The story in this game is perfect from start to finish. So many games have an interesting starting point and then you hit a cliff.

    In Horizon ZD I was always interested in what happens next. The combat in this game is amazing. Rather then just spam firing you have to pick off the weak points which makes sense when going against machines. You have a reasonable variety of weapons. My person favourite was the trip caster. I personally loved exploring the forbidden ruins and and finding about about the history of before the game was set. You will find in this game there is hours of optional content for you to enjoy rather then just the core missions. You can how ever skip all that and just play the story. Although I highly recommend you check out all the other stuff as it's really fun to do! This game is definitely 1 of the best single player games I have ever played! The hill climbing in this game wasn't great. If you can call it hill climbing. It was more glitch jumping up a hill. Mounts feel a bit slow aswell. Both these have been improved upon in Forbidden west thou.    … Expand

    Even tho it took me 2 years to finish this game, I was frustraded by the fact that the machines u destroy repawn when u load the game or die, i think that can be pretty **** at times but if u plan to play this game for hours that wont be a problem. The world is amazing, the combat has much depth to it, climbing long necks machines was so fun. The music is great the atmosphere as well.

    One of the most interesting settings I've ever seen in a videogame, tribal humans fighting against robotic dinosaurs in a post apocalyptic world full of danger, this game is gorgeous, from the graphics to the worldbuilding, it's pure eye candy.

    The game may feel a little bit generic and linear at first but when it opens up, it becomes way better.     The game may feel a little bit generic and linear at first but when it opens up, it becomes way better. The story is pretty good with some cool twists later on, I don't think I've ever seen a similar story before, but sadly most of the characters are pretty forgettable.

    The gameplay is smooth and fun, very fast paced combat, using the environment against your enemies and hitting the weak spots feels satisfying. There are also different weapons you unlock as you progress, and a decent variety of enemy types.

    Unfortunately though, the side content didn't really surprise me, most side quests are repetitive fetch quests or glorified stronghold liberations, there's no innovation whatsoever.

    It really is a solid game overall, even with its shortcomings, the unique and fresh setting, the very enjoyable gameplay mechanics, the beautiful Open World and the amount of content definitely make this game a very fascinating experience, not the best of its kind but a pretty good one.

    It's a good game, I liked it, but something feels off about it. For me, it has a great background story of the world "before", but I think the present world story is BORING. Whey you talk to characters you literally don't want to ask them stuff. I just played mass effect 1 and 2 and I was asking EVERYHING from the characters because the questions and answers were always interesting.     Can be described the same way as I did for Marvel's Spider-man with one exception: Horizon has a better plot, that holds the intrigue until the last act. All the other typical diseases are still present though

    I will never understand the praise this game gets. I played through the entire game, and it was painful. Let's start off by looking at the good stuff, which are very few btw, the combat system is great. The dialogue is so cringy, and I feel like an alien that has never interacted with humans before, wrote the script. The dialogue "cutscenes" are awkward as hell, the facial animations is on par with the same emotions furby toys show with their faces. For some reason, the voice actors seems to have a 3second pause between every sentence sometimes, and it was really annoying. I probably skipped 80% of the games dialogue, and I pray to Guerilla, that the sequel will be better, because there is so much potential here.    … Expand

Machine combat is extremely adictive and satisfying, unfortunately fighting the human enemies is one of the worst part of the game, which is getting more boring as the game progresses, also combat in close quarters is quite problematic. The world is full of activities, unfortunately, most of them are rather repetitive, and the motivation for doing most of them is dissappearing after a few hours. Main story is excellent, well-written full of secrets and astonishing moments, however side quest are quite linear, most often: find, kill and bring me back stuff. Comparison to Witcher 3 is very exaggerated. Overall the game is great, main story line is on of the best in the whole game history, however, uninterestingness of side quests and repetitive side activities are the main flaws of the game.

    Love this gem of a masterpiece. Story is pretty unique and compelling, the cut scenes are also fantastic, gameplay is compelling and easy-to-learn. Aloy is an excellent female protagonist, and they were able to develop and flesh out her backstory in relation to the story and world of HZD. HZD was the title that got me interested in open-world games.

    gam was fine, thats all - story and dialogues were boring. good that the game was in PS+. wanted to play that game to know the story before forbiden west. hope the 2nd part will be much better. imo the 10 rates came only from ponys but the game is still bad.

    The story of aloy is very good and very mysterious, the graphics are very good runs at stable 60fps on my ps5 the combat is over the top.

Maybe other games seem similar in some ways - Monster Hunter, Assassin's Creed, Witcher 3, Far Cry, and so on, but this was my first experience with a game like this and I fell in love with the idea of setting traps and using arrows to kill robot animals, as weird (or dumb) as that sounds. The big boss fights really gripped me, and although the story was a little bit out there at times, it all felt real enough, so I found myself interested all the same. Killing a big beast with trip wires and well-placed arrows was satisfying. I should also mention that I am from the region that the game's setting is inspired by, so that earned some bonus points for sure. Great fun.… Expand

    This game is great, from the combat, story, and especially the enemies you fight. But, I would have liked the side quests to be more unique instead of being repetitive and I would have like melee combat to be more relevant as it was useless throughout the entire game.

    Ótimo jogo, história envolvendo, personagens marcantes (principalmente a aloy). O combate é viciante, excelentes lutas contra máquinas dos mais diversos tipos, missões principais e secundárias que te deixam com vontade de querer mais. Gostei bastante da DLC também.

    Sem dúvidas meu game favorito dessa geração. Entrega imersão, entretenimento e muita reflexão sobre a sociedade. Gráficos excelentes, mesmo nós depois do lançamento, o jogo não envelheceu. Único apontamento é a fisionomia dos rostos dos NPC's.... Mas nada problemático... Alloy é a personagem mais completa, ao MEU ver! Parabéns Guerrilla

    Comprei o meu ps4 em 2017 por causa desse jogo.
    Sem dúvida, um dos melhores jogos que já joguei. A estória é sensacional e original, a trilha sonora muito boa e os gráficos são muito bonitos.
    A jogabilidade no combate corpo a corpo deixou a desejar, mas nada que atrapalhe o quão incrível o jogo é.

    It is such a nice feeling to find a world that speaks to you. The world of Horizon does that to me. I played the game immediately before the Horizon Forbidden West was released and playing both games back-to-back was a great experience. After 80+ hours on Zero Dawn + Dlc, and 110+ hours on Forbidden West, this is my favorite franchise.
    Probably gonna buy it on sale on Pc for the Mods ; )

    The game was great, apart from the developers trying forcefully ship Aloy with another character.
    I ignored all of his dialogue, skipped him on purpose. Sadly I couldn't find a way to kill him.
    And still some scenes with him can't be skipped, he participates in missions, which I can do alone.
    I don't get why it had to be so forced.

Upon the game launching and being greeted with a beautiful menu screen, I knew I was going to enjoy this game immensely. From the narrative, to the combat and the scenery it hosts an array of, what feels to be AAA designs for a brand new IP, that all playersWhere to start...     I pumped a lot of hours into this game, fell in love with the characters and the story - set in a post-apocalyptic environment that is different from the usual horror tropes that we see. I'll avoid posting spoilers but it truly defines how zombies or radioactive wasteland aren't always the go-to for a destroyed world.

    Finally, I would recommend that everyone gives this game a shot now that it is available on multiple platforms and no longer a PS4 exclusive.    … Expand

    Horizon is easily one of my favourite game, it has wonderful graphics for a game from 2017 and the fighting mechanic, im in love with it. You have different types of bows, traps, literal flamethrowers, and many more. And the amount of side missions and side content packed into this game is just ginormous.
    For me, this is the definition of must play game for PlayStation.

    For some reason, I could not make chemistry with this game. It did not affect me.
    The game environment is excellent. However, I did not like:
    - On each conversation, you need to interact and choose. After a while it becomes annoying. - Most of the game story is through recorded tracks that you need just to stand and listen. Could be a better cut scene! - Voice acting and cut scenes    For some reason, I could not make chemistry with this game. It did not affect me.

    My love for Horizon Zero Dawn is largely based on two things: gameplay and freedom of movement. Guerilla did a great job getting the controls right, fighting giant machines is addictive and satisfying. As for the movement, I don't recall any game that allowed players to go just anywhere. Sure there are some minor glitches, where Allow can't move over a small rock, but the player can tryMy love for Horizon Zero Dawn is largely based on two things: gameplay and freedom of movement.     The weak points of the games are the characters and the dialogs. It's impossible to feel for any of the characters as they're just random encounters that one doesn't relate to. The dialogs are uninspired and really boring. Unfortunately, that includes the protagonist Alloy, who seems to be unable to express any believable emotions. To me, there are some missed opportunities that could've helped to build the character and the bonding with the player, e.g. the conflict with the Nora. She's part of the tribe, but an outcast. Yet, a deeper conflict is only hinted at in the first 20 minutes of the game.

    A minor annoyances are the action radius of each machine, allowing beating any of them from a safe distance. Tge final boss seems a bit uninspired, since it's simply a machine one has a chance to fight several times in the course of the game before the final confrontation.

    Overall, I enjoyed playing the game despite its weaknesses. If it wasn't for the joy of wrestling with an angry Thunderjaw, the game offers little to replay it. The characters and dialogs are even more boring the second time.    … Expand

Con esto me refiero a que en muchas ocasiones las interacciones con los personajes se notan bastante antinaturales, y las expresiones deSe trata de un buen videojuego, aunque pienso que está un poco sobrevalorado.     Tenía buena pinta, pero me ha parecido soporífero a más no poder.
    El inicio está muy bien, y el combate llega a ser de notable, pero lo de ir de una punta a otra del mapa sólo para una conversación vacía se me hace bola.
    Pero entiendo que haya gente a la que le puede gustar este tipo de juegos.
    Horizon simplemente no es para mí.

But there's a character - Sylens - who appears and is critical to the game, and who is incredibly condescending to Aloy. Like, constantly belittling her and treating her like crap. It made the game MUCH less fun to play, because the authors of the game thought that treating Aloy abusively was somehow additive. It made me really hate who parts of the game.… Expand

    I was in love with the Horizon Series, and after Forbidden West it was about to be my all-time favorite game, but that Burning Shores ending was so disappointing. It ruined the story for me. It was horribly written and obviously thrown in for American political reasons. It's such a shame this keeps happening.

    Then the ending seriously threw me off, cause it just felt so out of place. There was no real story development for that love scene in the end. It seriously felt like they just threw it in to make 'woke' quota deadlines. if the 'woke' crap was just better written it would be so much more accepted, but at this point, it's really becoming a problem in ruining the art of storytelling. I can't wait for this ridiculous fad to end. Unfortunately, so many of the stories we hold so dear will be ruined by the time that happens.    … Expand

    Juego de mundo abierto con una historia muy buena, la cual te tiene enganchado hasta el último momento. La jugabilidad es notable y el diseño de los personajes y bichos excelente. También mejora mucho el juego el sistema de combate, el cual te obliga a adaptarte a cada enemigo.

    The unfortunate fact of Horizon is that most of what it does well, other games have done better, and they did it with a compelling who and where. This is the game you play after you’ve finished The Witcher 3, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and Far Cry: Primal. It is the greatest hits compilation of open-world games. Yeah, sure, you might want to own it, but the real connoisseur has the original albums.
