    This game surprised me a lot with its catchy story. The story was supported by a beautiful environment, especially I think nature. It is processed really beautifully. I´ve been playing this game on PS5 console and sometimes the views from hills to distance at sunset or sunrise were amazing.

    On the contrary, what disappointed me a little was the size of the map. I was expecting a slightly larger playing area. However, this playing area is solidly filled with side tasks and challenges.

    Otherwise, I have to praise the game model, after a few minutes the control of the game will become completely intuitive.

    Unfortunately, the story of the game seemed a bit rushed to me. I finished the game for four in the afternoon, when I played after work. However, the characters are well written.

    I was a little bothered by the "jamming" of animations in cutscenes. Another thing that spoiled my impression of the game was the sometimes strangely behaving artificial intelligence (both allies and enemies).

    I enjoyed the game and rated it 8/10. I'm definitely thinking about going through the DLC.    … Expand

    All most all story is completely not interesting and very boring, all substories is just copy-past and only in the end it improves. Gameplay... nothing special and I was plaing this game just to finish it coz I paid for it.

    Bow aiming is pretty messed up, especially when it comes to fire at flying enemies, but gameplay is pretty satisfying. Great story, fantastic views. Fights are interesting, although not really challenging. Also, climbing sucks- it is much worse than in assassin’s creed series, no comparison here.

I came for the cool Robo-Dinosaur and stayed for the fascinating world, the combat, characters and the wonderfully written story which keeps me thinking about it even years later. The story drew me in like nothing else in a long time, the twist and turns were heart wrenching and epic as they can be. Основной сюжет игры не связанный с предысторией мира очень слабый. Не лучшие анимации и иногда странно-забавная постановка кадра. Обыкновенный и невыразительный саундтрек и порой некачественная озвучка,Неплохая игра с хорошим геймплеем и очень интересной концепцией мира. Отличный визуальный стиль и красота мира.     Finally dredged this out of my backlog, and glad I did. Well-crafted world, excellent enemies, good story. The combat got repetitive enough after about 10 hours that I sped through the rest of the game just to complete the story. Hopefully Forbidden West improves upon what it built here, especially with more combat options, melee especially.

    A beautiful experience with twists and turns. The map design is some of the best as it slowly opens up in a swirl, allowing you to slowly explore more as you progress. Aloy is a fantastic character and her theme is some of the most stirring music in the current generation of gaming, even if not all the music is on it's level.     Standard open world RPG. Nothing really innovative. If you’ve played other open world RPG’s this gen then this one will just induce fatigue. I think a lot of people said it was visually impressive, but in 2020 it’s not as attractive as other games in the genre. I can’t recommend HZD unless you’re not already burned out on open world RPG’s.

    this game is good but thats it the combat is fun buts get repetitive after awhile the climbing is the best ive played. a new ip and it played off well the main protagonist was amazing Rost was a good charcater the story and side quests came off weak for me i dont expect a revolutionary story in games but a decent one but this didn't phase me cant wait for the 2nd one

    Es un juego hermoso. Me encantó. Es un juego con unas gráficas y unos escenarios impresionantes, y la jugabilidad es muy entretenida. Aloy es un personaje interesante y agradable, hace la historia muy cómoda.

    Es uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado, sin duda.

    Masterpiece, music, gameplay, atmosphere, open world, theme of the game, graphics and design. These facts alone are the reason why it us the masterpiece, the combat is soo good and flc the frozen wilds is very interesting. The only bad things are charachters and plot, but it is goid for thier first rog!

    This is a nice and very good looking open-world game with RPG elements. You play as a girl who lives in a wild world inhabited by different human tribes and full of dinosaur-looking machines. You are discovering the past of the world that once belonged to a different civilisation.     Combat and exploration is pretty balanced and I never got tired of any of it. The only thing that lacks creativity is melee combat; it just does not look that great as firing arrows, which you will mostly be doing. Higher difficulty can give you a pretty challenging combat and if you are into exploring the world and following the main quest without having stressy fights all the time - the developers took care about it too.

    Weak spots in this game are side quests. They are typical RPG side quests (go there and kill 5 things, then go there and stealth kill another 5 things). Some of those quests will reveal more background to certain parts of the main story but most of them can be totally skipped.

    Another weak spot are face animations of side characters. They are not that good as face animations of the main characters. Here and there you will spot the same faces (there was some “copy-paste” work…).

    All in all, this is indeed a nice adventure game that might become a great franchise.    … Expand

    Excelente juego, es muy entretenido y sus paisajes son hermosos, su historia es muy enganchadora y sus misiones de lo mas entretenidas y retantes, me pareció un juego muy innovador y su jugabilidad es lo mas cómoda con 0 cooldown entre cada pelea.

    I loved this game. I don't get obsessed with a lot of video games (I get bored and move on quickly) but this game had me hooked. I finished the whole thing and then did the expansion pack.

    I cannot wait until part two.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a uniquely crafted world filled with "machines" that are now the dominant species on earth. Aloy the main protagonist tries to figure out how this world came to be and discover her true origins.

    When this game came out in 2017 I had little to no interest in it, however now with the release of the sequel and all the hype around it, I decided to check this one out. Horizon Zero Dawn is a really beautiful world that has been excellently crafted, it's very unique to have machines/robots completely dominate the earth, and those machines are definitely the highlight of the game. I love the designs of these machines from the Watcher to the Rockbreaker, they're all very cool and also a huge variety of them.

    Gameplay is both a hit and a miss, when it is at its best it's absolutely incredible, this is usually when fighting huge machines like the Stormbird or the Thunderjaw, these fights were amazing. However when the gameplay is at its worst, it can be incredibly annoying and frustrating, this was usually when fighting human enemies as I thought fighting humans didn't have nearly as much depth as fighting the machines. The camera can sometimes be pretty annoying as well, and can really mess you up in combat. However the combat overall is pretty good, nothing groundbreaking but it was overall fun and didn't bore me for the approx. 40 hours i played. Exploring was for the most part pretty fun, however the climbing was really boring as the only thing you do is point to where you want to jump and the game does it for you, but the visuals did make up for the climbing parts. The side quests were often interesting, some were forgettable and some were memorable, but considering I finished them all before finishing the main quest means they were definitely not boring.

    The story, similar to the gameplay was pretty good, the idea is very unique however I think the execution was pretty predictable, not bad necessarily but just pretty predictable. I like Aloy as a character, and some side characters were fun, but on the other hand some side characters were really forgettable and had really no impact on me, some side characters' death were so incredibly badly executed that it was honestly kind of funny, and some just didn't have enough impact. However despite all that the story was overall pretty good, and kept me intrigued for the most part.

    Horizon Zero Dawn is clearly a well made game, that has its issues, but the good outweigh the bad, and the result is a fun game with a very interesting concept.

    In short, the game is good and fun, however I felt disappointed by the story and the charachters which I felt anonymous and I didn't care much for them. Hopefully the sequel will be improved in this aspect

Simply put I was not personally drawn into this games story as I have been with other games, despite it having one of the most well developed worlds ever seen in a game.

    I bought a Playstation just to play this game..lol And to be honest, it was 100% worth it. This game and Days Gone makes it worth it to have a PS. HZD is a beast. So much to do and one of the best looking games of its generation. Such a great game!

    It's a quite good game I've appreciated the setting but I don't like the RPG system because of you must level up to end the plot. The "story" mode help a lot with that. The holograms aren't so expressive and a little bit boring. After all it's a good game but it can definitely be improved.

And it annoyed me that it was impossible to pass the machines without attacking them or bypassing them from afar. They were too "aggressive".     I want to like this game but found it a little bit disappointing. This game is the reason why I bought my PS4 but while playing it I found myself drifting away from it. I was not engaged with the story at all, I cared too little about Aloy's goal and her character development.

    Dinosaur robots very awesome. I think the gameplay Is FUN and the game is very beautiful looking but the story is just WEAK and cutscenes in this game are super AWKWARD and CRINGY.

I'm sorry, I missed the part where the AI did anything other than constantly lunge at you or constantly snipe you, getting you stunlocked? To the point that on highest difficulty, STEALTH is the only approach for this game because otherwise you're screwed?

    Let's be real, it's a good game, but not that good. By the halfway point I just wanted to be done with it, I was so fed up with the story, and the sidequests are so bland that I could predict them a mile away. Everything related to humans ends up in an ambush and everything related to machines ends up in a fight. Nothing interesting is discovered or achieved.

    The gameplay, minus the stupid AI, can be very satisfying, and while I think it's a bit shallow, I appreciate the mod system and the different ways you can customize your weapons and gear.    … Expand

    i hate this game's everything. combat control system sucks (mouse-keyboard & game pad both) , characters are not attractive, story is too boring and filled full of vanity and feminism.

Except the story is portioned in-between gameplay that feels awkward and clunky. The stealth is very weird, the enemies are sometimes blind sometimes they see everything. Fighting robots contains shooting yellow parts on their body over and over and over again. The game gives you a lot of useless arsenal from which you use about three things. The skill three is really useless and boring and so is the crafting system. The máp is filled with a lot of boring challenges and little errands which, from the beggining are really cool but progressivelly get more and more boring and repetitive.     Open world was fun and intriguing. If you can find a campfire close enough to your mission point you would feel comfortable because even if you die you will respawn very close to your mission point. That was nice because after you find a campfire and felt safe you want to discover the open world and the dangerous machines because you feel safe so these were game's positive and fun sidesOpen world was fun and intriguing. Like difficulty levels aren't like how they're supposed to be,i chose the normal difficulty first but it was not like normal difficulty it was a little bit like hard difficulty. And it got boring and boring. Same thing all over again. Go to a place,kill the Cultists and the Corruptors or Corrupted machines and loot the leader or talk with someone and so on... We have so futuristic and technologic dreams and expectations from future but we have the potential to destroy ourselves and wipe all life out on Earth. Ironic story was intriguing. No game is perfect and this wasn't perfect too. In one mission i had to kill the whole Cultists and the Corrupted machines.It wasnt possible without doing it silent and smooth. I mean you can't just go around and kill everyone in order. You have to be organised and kill in a logical order. Anyway in that level i thought if i kill one by one and walk out of their attack range it would be silent and smooth. But after i kill one cultist and walk out of their attack range game reseted the progress and the cultist i've just killed spawned again.     Если вы начали играть и игра вам не понравилась, не беспокойтесь. Пройдите чуть дальше по сюжету, выйдите из первой локации подальше. Вам однозначно станет намного интересней=)

    Very Good Story. But the controls are a pain in the ass.
    Example: you Need to infiltrate a Base. Ok. First try: the enemy Spots you through solid Rock. Bit ok. You try to hide so they might loose Track. You jump down a 1m hill to hide. Get bugged into the Wall. Cant klimb anymore...

    Sadly this happens very often. Would be better if the game was a video

Stealth is obnoxious without any fresh ideas 4/10

    The biggest issue for me however is the combat. The melee combat in particular.
    The combat feels so clunky compared to other games of the genre and it's a real problem. There's also hardly any weapons in this game and that doesn't help, neither does the dreadful crafting system.

    I also want to mention the side quests which are repetitive and boring. Often involving the usual old scanning and searching.

    So as much as I wanted to like this game I just couldn't. It was a beautiful game but one I lost interest in and in my opinion it holds no place amongst the greatest games of the decade like the witcher 3 wild hunt, the legend of Zelda breath of the wild and God of war for example.    … Expand

    Got this game on the cheap and can’t for the life of me get motivated to continue playing it after about 7 hours. Am I the only one thoroughly annoyed by every aspect of this game? The main character, the utterly implausibility of the creatures, the ridiculousness of the dialog and facial expressions, the cliched characters, you name it.

    The story is vast, and not easy to follow unlike most video game plots. Certainly, the immeasurable greed of the corporate world and the consequences of pursuing monopoly are topics that are not represented in the mainstream entertainment industry enough (for understandable reasons). I found most side characters unilateral, but there is a mysterious one that makes up for it.

    ---Graphics & environment---
    I could go on and on about its artistic greatness but I just want to mention three things that got me the most. I can firmly state that this game has the most beautiful eye animation in any game still up to 2021. Even the eye and mimics of the n+1th side character was mesmerizing. Then there is Aloy's hair, which itself is a masterpiece. Thirdly, I enjoyed every single time when I heard Aloy’s echoing voice in the mountains, unique sound effect, that I have not experienced in other games.

    ---Combat & other mechanics---
    Fighting mechanics against machines were much better executed than human vs. human combat. I found aim assist non-existent against human enemies (I find this particularly crucial due to that fact that the game provided quite little space for aiming customization), and they could be very easily tricked by dodge + heavy attack combos. Although fights against robots showed great abundance and diversity. Stealth combat was also disappointing against humans, you just cannot kill 2 people next to each other without alarming the whole camp (I expected that if nor by melee hits I could take down 2 enemies standing next to each other with two quick arrow shots but it’s not possible). The way Hunting Grounds quests taught you insane tricks to fight gigantic beasts easily was utterly jaw-dropping. I loved that every beast had a weak point to be exploited. The variety of weapons and the creativity that was put into them was extraordinary. All in all, the game mechanics were entertaining, but I want to mention that I found the climbing/parkouring system too rudimentary.

    ---Skill & RPG elements---
    Considering the RPG elements, namely the levelling system and the skill tree were quite disappointing to me. I did not feel the need levelling up except for the bonus HP, since after around lvl 20 (when I already got extra skill points from side activities) I felt the remaining 2/3 skills so pointless and lazy. Picking up unused trap should not be the part of any skill trees. Some of the armour designs were quite imaginative, the armour and weapon customization were okay, nor revolutional. Crafting was manifold enough, but not exaggerated. One thing that I missed a lot was a stash to organize my loot. I maximized loot capacity quite early in the game, but I ended up organizing my pack in every 10 minutes.

    ---Technical stuff---
    Sometimes when I got into serious large-scale fights with robots, half of the loot despawned before the end of fight. This is quite annoying when they would certainly drop epic loot. Also, I found the bonfire save system inconsistent sometimes, which dripped some frustration in the gameplay experience.    … Expand

    I find that fans of Sony's works fall in love with pretty visuals above all else. I see more people marveling about picture modes than the actual games themselfves. The story is very original, interesting, but there is little going on in the world. It's vast, the environment is beautiful, but it is a sleep inducing game. Amazing game with a unique story that offers hours and hours of playtime, if you choose to do the side missions and explore the beautiful world to find hidden treasures. There are some limitation to how much you can customise and times when the game becomes repetitive, but the occasional little surprises of encountering a new type of enemy, meeting an interesting character or discovering a new weapon or armour are more than enough to keep you entertained and glued to the controller!

    I must say that I'm more of a realistic person and I'm not a big fan of futuristic sci-fi games, but the idea of a game where you run around an open world hunting robotic animals with primary weapons to restore the balance and regain control, is quite unique and is definitely worth playing!    … Expand

They are well design and each one has their own weaknesses, and unique armor position, so that is why you need to change your weapon all the time when facing many kinds of robot. About human enemy, I am really disappoint. They are so stupid that I not really enjoy engaging with them, but I think it is understandable because the main enemy of the game is robot anyway. Fighting in this game is compelling, fighting with the robot in Horizon Zero Dawn is a great fighting experience I have got; it is so intense to fight with them (I started play in hard mode). It is not easy to fight them, I got killed many time LOL. The game gives you a device call “Focus” to make you fight easier. Using focus will make you see the weaknesses of an enemy, so you will know what weapon you should use against the enemy.     3rd gorgeous sceneries with machines
    cons : 1st automated animation looks robotic and unnatural
    2nd lip syncing can be a bit jarring sometimes
    3rd side quests can feel repetitive but honestly they are less repetitive then most of the open world game

    good game with a couple of issues. I did not like the story nor the characters at all. However the gameplay and combat were so satisfying. It is not as polished as something like ghost of tsushima or spiderman, but is better than all ubisoft AAA titles.

    It's an amazing brand new IP video game. You're playing in a post-apocalyptic world fighting dinosaur robot. Enough saying. My pet peeve is the game is still rough on cutscene and certain part but i can tolerate that.

    A truly inspired game, with truly excellent attention to detail.
    However, the plot did not particularly convince me.
    But the gameplay is fast, intuitive, and satisfying.

    The story felt a little bland to me and the facial animations and voice acting weren't the best also the gameplay was pretty repetitive but entertaining at times

    Fail to see what's so amazing about this game. It has good visuals but boring and flat characters, a mediocre story and generic gameplay.

An amazing Lore, with a beautiful story, gorgeous graphics and incredible combat, this is one of the best games I've ever played. Characters do feel a little boring and bland. Aside from the main character and her acquaintances (Erend and Sylens), everyone else feels a little too generic. Besides that, it's a fantastic game.

    Combat might feel repetitive unless you use everything at your disposal to its fullest potential. If you do that, there'll probably be no other game that impresses you more with it's combat. Overall I loved it and it's my favorite game of all time. I would give it an 8.5 but since there's no option for that, I'm gonna stick to 8.    … Expand

    Awesome open-world game. Its vast, and its exploration is a breeze. Gameplay and Graphics were pretty cool, and it has a great storyline. But there are some negatives (at least for me) is, the face animations that needed more time to work with. (But even tho they’ve been fixed in the DLC, its only the DLC that got a rework for the facial animations and not the base game itself.) some ofAwesome open-world game.     The unfortunate fact of Horizon is that most of what it does well, other games have done better, and they did it with a compelling who and where. This is the game you play after you’ve finished The Witcher 3, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and Far Cry: Primal. It is the greatest hits compilation of open-world games. Yeah, sure, you might want to own it, but the real connoisseur has the original albums.

    Horizon Zero Dawn has an unforgettable protagonist, world, story, visuals, soundtrack and gameplay. Due to minor issues with inventory management and quest selection, I cannot call it perfect but I can say it is absolutely worth your time.
