    The best metroidvania game I've ever played. Oozing with charm from a large number of interesting characters and filled to the brim with secrets and optional paths. On a second playthrough you'll have completely different moves at different times because you've discovered hidden entrances to zones. There are a decent number of powerful builds and you'll find yourself changing skillsThe best metroidvania game I've ever played.     The free additional content steps the challenge up a bit and the ultra end game god DLC is a tedious slog that most players will find to hard to be worth it. It also feels out of place changing the style of the game completely just being a near endless boss rush. But as free extra content it's something for ultra hard core fans who want the most extreme challenge after they have sunk their 30 hours into the main game.    … Expand

    This is a very high quality, very difficult, Souls-Like platformer. There is a fine attention to detail present in this game that veteran gamers will appreciate. The controls are very tight, the enemies are charming, and the vocals are just dear.

    Honestly, one of the greatest games I've ever played in my life. I've put 80 hours into it so far, with the last 20 hours spent doing exclusively the "challenge rooms" from the final expansion. I will be more honest, however, and say that I probably would never have finished the game if I didn't have an extremely detailed game map open on my computer while playing... this game does notHonestly, one of the greatest games I've ever played in my life. It's a 2D side-scrolling open-world RPG like Skyrimvania and once you get hooked, it's nigh impossible to put it down. I found myself so helplessly engrossed in the world, lore, and experience that even two months after first picking it up, I still find myself falling in love with more elements I'm just now discovering. I simply cannot recommend playing this game enough but I do have to recommend using a cheat-sheet to get the most out of your enjoyment (at least based on my own personal experience). And for 20 bucks or less, you'll get your money's worth and so much more. I'd be happy to pay a full 60+ for this game simply because of how much Team Cherry takes care of you. Buy it, rent it, borrow it, whatever. Just play it.… Expand

    Um dos melhores metroidvania se não for o melhor com lore de dark souls e um mapa extremamente grande cheio de conteúdos e desafios com vários finais diferentes esse jogo merecia ta concorrendo como melhor indie do ano por que pra me é o melhor jogo indie de todos os tempos

    Wonderful game that finally came to PS4. Must buy for everyone who are at least a bit interested in metrovania style games. Gem in EA filled **** franchise-game industry.

    Very beautiful game! the world is soo massive and connected beautifully! the music is amazing and the character designs are also beautiful and cute.The gameplay is flawless and the atmosphere is amazing.I just wish the boss fights would have health bars!

    Fantastic, wonderful adventure. 2d platformer which is strongly connected with Dark Souls spirit and weird bugs world. Amazing experience.

    Finally got to play it and its good from start to end. I recomend the game, if you have a taste for little dungeon like adventures with simple but charming art styles.

    One of the best games ever played. The best of souls kind games. Always wanna play this, few days ago(40h in game) buy it on psn for dirty cheap money. And im astonishin! Ill pay full price with pleasure now. New dlc comin Silksong, and hope we dont need to w8 too long for ps4 version. Take my money! Praize the Team Cherry. So high quality and rich content.     Sem dúvidas o melhor metroidvania já feito. Mecânicas simples mas desafiadora, um mapa extenso cheio de conteúdo e uma história estilo Dark Souls. Minha confiança para novos jogos da TeamCherry está altíssima.

    This is such a fantastic game! It's got everything; challenging and exciting combat, a deep and dark story, beautiful music and artwork and an unforgettable cast of characters and enemies. All this is made even more extraordinary because it is made by such a small studio! It's definitely not an easy game and can be quite unforgiving but it is definitely worth putting the time in to exploreThis is such a fantastic game!     Such an amazing game that brilliantly combines souls-like and metroidvania genres. Unbelievably cute and very challenging game with tons of content. Currently at 107/112%.

    Beautiful art and visuals, a great ost and a lore worthy of being the "Dark Souls" of bug games.     Beautiful art direction, soundtrack and environments, responsive smooth controls that make fighting enemies and boss fights amazing to play. Starts off slow and confusing but once you get used to it, the game is amazing and probably the best platformers I played to date

    one of the few metroidvanias I actually completed 100%, almost everything about this game I loved, the gameplay, ambience, etc.
    One of the core elements of hollow knight that made it so good for me was difficulty its hard but fair overall, pretty good game

    o jogo é muito bom, os desenhos são muito bonitos, as cores combinam com o tema do jogo e com os cenários, os controles são ótimos, todas as funções funcionam bem e estão bem localizadas no controle, o jogo tem muito conteúdo, desde os bosses difíceis, até o diário do caçador que te proporciona um bom esforço. A historia do jogo é muito boa, e os inimigos do jogo são bem diferentes e como jogo é muito bom, os desenhos são muito bonitos, as cores combinam com o tema do jogo e com os cenários, os controles são ótimos, todas as funções funcionam bem e estão bem localizadas no controle, o jogo tem muito conteúdo, desde os bosses difíceis, até o diário do caçador que te proporciona um bom esforço. A historia do jogo é muito boa, e os inimigos do jogo são bem diferentes e com ataques diferentes. Sublime Difficulty: 10/10 **** ass casuals not allowed in this game ( jk, but the game is in fact very very hard, but never unfair ) Gameplay: 9/10, the classic platform gameplay with dash,    **** incredible.     Gameplay: 9/10, the classic platform gameplay with dash, double jump, wall crawling. It fells very polished and fluid. There is also spells and the “Nail arts”: a different type of melee attack. Sadly I didn’t find that last one very useful since you have to charge this special attacks for a considerable amount of time, turning them almost useless and ALSO you have to keep the attack button pressed until you liberate the attack, and I don’t know about the rest of the players, but for me it is extremely hard to keep the square button on my ps4 control pressed at the same time that I do even a slightly tricky parkour. You can move around while doing it, but I find it almost impossible since moving around is not the most simple thing in places like the Coliseum of Fools for example. It just make me sad that this feature is in the game but because that most people will never really get to use it. The more different gameplay features in the game to diversify the gameplay, the better. And for me, this one was a very good opportunity threw out in the trash. You can use a special charm to significantly reduce this time, but beside the fact that you are not getting this charm until very late in the game and you still have to press the attack button all the time, there is also a lot of better charms that you can use, and you don’t want to waste one slot with this one. With lead us to another problem: I got all the charm slots and I still feeling that there is too few of them. Like, there is 40 charms in the game.. Why can I only equip like 4 or 5 at a time? I had the same feeling with Witcher 3 skills. Those games offers SO MANY possibilities for gameplay increases, and personalizations. But you still only get to use so few of them. And my last gameplay issue: the map. I am the type of player that really don’t like to get lost. I like to know what I am doing and where I am going. So more or less when I killed that soul master boss in City of Tears I started playing the game looking at a complete map on the Internet to guide myself and oh my god. I was the best thing I ever did in my life. Looking at a complete map I could finish my first run with 97% completion and 65 hours. It felt so much better knowing where I’m going. To know exactly what I’m doing, what I already did, and what I am going to do next. I DEFINITELY wouldn’t have this much fun just wandering in Hallownest until I finish the game. If you depend only on the map that the game offers you, you have basically 4 options: 1 Explore EVERY room and EVERY corner util you finally find what you are looking for and spend hundred of hours doing it ( considering that you didn’t forget it yet and if you know what you are doing in first place )
    2 just get bored of meaningless walking around and quit the game
    3 beat the game and enjoy like 50% of all the game has to offer and than quit or try another run
    4 just like me, guide yourself with a complete map and enjoy aaaaaaaaaall the content that you want
    Looking at a complete map gave me the possibility to enjoy almost ALL ( not counting dlc content ) that Hallownest has to offer. And oh my **** flying Radiance. I LOVED it. Hallownest... bruh... It is just incredible. I think that I’m not good at talking about stuff that I like, but for me, everything besides the few things that I complained here, is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT in this game    … Expand

    This game is almost perfect. Great music, great gameplay and visual art + lore is awesome. But please be aware: This game is VERY challenging and can be frustrating at some points. Difficulty has nothing to do with this being a bad game. Price is also ridiculous for such an impressive metroidvania.

    Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games. It was my first metroidvania and I have been looking for one that can reach up to this game ever since. It's gameplay can be hard but is never unfair, not least because of the precise controls and high learning curve.     Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition shines bright, which is ironic considering its solemn presentation and challenging gameplay. Offering a plethora of collectibles and content to explore as well as unrelenting confrontations, the game delivers a sensational, mysterious journey which will undoubtedly test your platforming skills.
