have you ever played Legend of Dark Moon or any of the original d&d games from back in the day. 1980ish this game is not for the faint of heart or noobs looking for handout. Stick that hand out you will draw back a bloddy nub. Once i got used to the control scheme the game began to flow. Its like a dungeon based dark souls. No frill they drop you into the dungeon no armor no weapon so behave you ever played Legend of Dark Moon or any of the original d&d games from back in the day. 1980ish this game is not for the faint of heart or noobs looking for handout. Stick that hand out you will draw back a bloddy nub. Once i got used to the control scheme the game began to flow. Its like a dungeon based dark souls. No frill they drop you into the dungeon no armor no weapon so be careful what class you chose. You choose 4 characters to go in. Graphics are great enemies are relentless (that big cobra will follow you to no end.) Game play is heartpounding. The controls took a bit of time to get used to. On ps4 foward and back with the digital pad turn left or right with the triggers. Overall very challenging im on the third floor trapped between a bunch of zombie knights. The puzzles are good and they have lots of traps setup. Pure nostalgia i went back to 1980 bliss but with hd graphics yesssss Expand

Heroes of the Monkey Tavern is retro to a fault. Despite simple graphics, and generic enemy designs, the actual dungeon crawling works really well and there is a great sense of discovery to it. Whilst not without its faults, there is a very enjoyable game.
