    My only recommendation is that if you're coming to this looking for multiplayer fun, consider buying copies for friends too, because from day one the community for the game has been fairly limited.

    When it comes down to it, the game is enjoyable, if you have a lot of pals willing to buy it too. Playing by yourself is not nearly as enjoyable in a game such as this.

    Gunscape could be a good game creator with a healthy lifespan, but a high price point, unoriginal concepts, and muddled ideals are just the tip of the iceberg that looks like it will sink the game's lofty ambitions.

    Gunscape is aimed at giving players the tools to create their own old school FPS levels and maps, but Blow Fish Studios’ attempt to carve out a little niche is lacking in its execution. What remains is a game that could be of interest while you roam through player-made maps, but will ultimately be left behind as actually playing them will quickly tarnish any glimmer of hope it had.

    There are very few FPS games with such a user-friendly level editor and hosting system. 90's textures allow for re-creating classics such asThere are very few FPS games with such a user-friendly level editor and hosting system. 90's textures allow for re-creating classics such as Wolfenstein 3D, Tomb Raider (with buttons/switches/moving blocks and an excellent Channel system that's east to use), Doom, Quake, Team Fortress to mention just a few.

    Its the only game on the market today that I am aware of that allows you to link levels and create a whole campaign which can be published for anyone to play across all platforms that Gunscape has been released on.

    The game allows for split screen, has a simple system for multiplayer with game modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, as well as alternative modes like Gun Game, Last Man Standing and Infection.

    The Blowfish campaign with 8 comprehensive levels display what can be created by players which can be published and shared with the rest of the world.

    A really unique game which will has huge replay value in the maps and levels which can be made by players which provides a dynamic and ever expanding amount of content.    … Expand

I remember the fun I used to have playing the original doom and quake games when i was younger. I had forgotten the joy of building your battle maps. This bring all of that back and then some. If you don't like building maps, there are a TON of existing maps as you can download levels made on all consoles, PC and Mac. The PS4 version does seem a little glitchy when comes to some building items but hopefully these will get sorted out over time.… Expand
