Activison Anarchy

Nov 3, 2015No training mode. Forced to farm tokens playing crappy songs to unlock a cool song...and only for one play.
If you like to make scores in guitar hero forget this game. You will waste your time to farm tokens and then you will waste your token trying to master a song with no possibility to slown down, pause etc.
It cost 6 EUROS PER 24H to have unlimited access to all the songs!!! that's a shame. -
Nov 13, 2015Every 9, 10, whatever rating you've read is a lie. The game is a mess. The guitar barely works. You need to pay extra to play more than a songlist of 30 songs, and even then you don't get anything permanently. They seem bent on destroying the guitar game genre for a second time. In short, everyone who worked on this game should be ashamed.

Nov 13, 2015The thinking man's Guitar Hero... if that thinking man was thinking "I want to spend full price + new peripheral on a game that has all the decent music stuck behind microtransactions". Or maybe just "I want to hate everything about modern gaming". Absolutely unforgivable.

Dec 25, 2015The guitar is made from very cheap plastic, and it's very small.
Also, the options in the game sucks. There's no freeplay, and no hyperspeed. This was a disappointment compared to the earlier versions of GH. -

Sep 11, 2017This is sooo bad, it's a guitar hero game with no rock songs unless you want to pay money for them, there is also no training mode for specific sections. This game fails because it doesn't make you feel like a guitar hero, since 70 % of the songs in this game is pretty easy to play on an actuall guitar. I'm sorry but this is painfully bad.

Sep 7, 2020while the new controller had a lot of potential for fun and fresh gameplay, the potential is completely ruined by a lack of features, and a pay to play business model.

Jul 26, 2022I've been playing guitar for 15 years, playing every Guitar Hero at the hardest difficulty and this one is near unplayable. It feels way out of sync, you can't hear the parts you have to play (especialy the leads), half of the songs barely have guitar in them and the "live footage" is so cringe I sometimes feel embarrassed to be playing. Huge fail, don't buy this overpriced sh**.

CD-ActionJan 12, 2016GHL is a great game if you’re playing it alone. I appreciate all the new ideas but I’m really disappointed that it is no longer a party game. [13/2015, p.62]
